@@TheHillbillyKitchen I often have to watch your videos multiple times, because your voice is so comforting I end up finding a nap while looking for my next recipe to try! God bless you! The first video I found of yours, was the video that had you sending boxes to people who needed them. You are walking His teachings, love one another and Our Father won't let you down now. I hope to share a table with you and yours some day! You have been the light I needed on so many days, I hope you are feeling some of that light reflected back now. Hugs from New York!

I don't know how your video's came into my life, but I praise God for them and you sharing your love for God and his word. Never have been a fan of the multi colored marshmallows. I will make using plain marshmallows. I have had great success with your 2 ingredient biscuits. I was in a hurry and patted it into a square and made the biscuits squares. Thank you for talking about Bible scriptures. Makes my day. It goes with the day and dealing with my MGUS (cancer) so thank you.!

I literally gasped when I saw the thumbnail in my notifications! My great aunt used to make these. She called them Cathedral Windows. I loved them. I haven't been willing to eat certain cookies that she used to make, since her passing. Other people's recipes don't taste the same as hers did. I think these might be an exception, though. ❤️ I guess not quite. Lol I posted this before watching the video. She did not put coconut in them and she used pecan. She told me when I was little that the recipe calls for walnut, but she thought pecan tasted better.

    • @lindabarling7719
      @lindabarling7719 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

It could be that she just left out the coconut. I've had them both ways. Personally, I like it better without the coconut. And since I'm the one making them....😁My grandma also made them without thee coconut, and nuts. She didn't have any teeth. But she'd sure load them up with those little colored marshmallows. So good. Thank you again Thank You Heavenly Father for having Becky share this recipe. Now, we all have it😁😁😁Love Y'all 4Evermore & may God continue to Bless y'all ❤❤❤❤❤

Well, aren’t those cookies the prettiest thing? I love the colors!
I don’t like “raw” marshmallows but I will have to try these.

Beautiful! The concept reminds me of an old family recipe known as "Oh Henry Log" w/ graham cracker crumbs, dates, white marshmallows, possibly sweetened condensed milk (not sure). I'll revise this message & add the recipe if anyone is interested. Thank you for sharing this recipe & "hello" from Nebraska!
    RECIPE:
    OH HENRY PUDDING
    1 lb graham crackers
    1 lb chopped dates
1 lb white marshmallows (small size)
1 c nut meats (chopped walnuts or a chopped nut of your choice)
    ½ pint cream
Mix dry ingredients, then add cream. Form into roll for later slicing on a cookie sheet & set aside for three days in a cool place. Slice & serve w/ whipped cream; these taste great plain as well. Enjoy!

My Nana made these every year for Christmas. She hated coconut so she used finely chopped nuts and covered them in powdered sugar. I love them!

We've made these by adding some peanut butter because we don't have nut allergies but some just don't like nuts (or coconut, for that matter). I love the pretzel idea, or the cereal idea.

Dear Becky, I'm new to your channel but love what you do. Thanks for sharing your inspiring personal story too. As for the vanilla, I use that in almost everything I make. Someday I'll have to repent for not telling a friend what I used in scrambled eggs years ago when she just flipped over them and said they were the best she ever tasted. Sorry, that got to my ego. But it was also a little embarrassing bc it was nothing but butter, eggs, and vanilla with a speck of salt and pepper. I don't measure anything and haven't even looked at a cookbook in years. One of my favorite shows on NPR used to be called The Bountiful Table or something like that; the host would just go by the ingredients callers said they had in their pantry and she'd tell them what they could make with what was on hand. Which has basically been my lifelong process. But now I'm enjoying your videos just as much; maybe in part bc I'm old and retired and appreciate your company. :) Anyway, I think I can make these cookies from memory now. For financial reasons I could only retire in the extreme rural area of the central Midwest in a county where the cows far outnumber the people; and most of the people are xenophobic as geese and openly pride themselves on meanness, something I can't imagine in you. If you are mean, don't let me know about it, okay? I wanna be cooking buddies! Before I came here, everybody loved my cooking. But I went to a potluck (called 'carry in' here) and saw one of the women in te kitchen scraping my cake off the plate and into the trash bc most of them hate strangers and the one who don't are afraid of the ones who do. Thank God for the internet where we can *always* find good company somewhere. :)

It took me several minutes to get to your video. I saw the scripture first and had to highlight and email it to myself. 😎 The of course I had to look it up etc., etc. but here I am finally. I sure do enjoy coming upon your video every now and then.😄
