Do I have to prefill the heat exchanger with coolant before doing this method of bleeding? Won’t it create an air pocket if I don’t put coolant in it before hand?
@@justinz1412I’m on the same boat I have the michimoto hx and it even says on there Installation video they recommend doing it with the air vac tool. That’s also how Infiniti bleeds them. Look at schwaben air vac tool it’s about 80 bucks Us or 100 Canadian.
They should be bled with a vacuum bleeder. That’s the only way to know with 💯 certainty that air is out. But I’ve been bleeding systems for years. I bled this one longer than the video shows.

Yes and yes. I bleed these out 2-3 times and then use a vacuum bleeder over the resivor to remove any trapped air.
I couldn't help noticing air filters seen better days 😂😂
They said heat exchanger only 😂
@@Pete_Tech_ 😆 🤣
Link to the one you bought please
how would you recommend bleeding if you don't have a bleed screw? leaving the reservoir open until you dont see anymore bubbles?
No bleed screw!? Are you sure? These systems are very hard to bleed without an alternative bleeder. I’d vacuum bleed it.
u saved me a good 2hrs
did u only bleed it with the bleed port? im abt to do this and i hope to not leave any air in the system dont wanna fish out $200 for a vacuum kit

@@Pete_Tech_ hey thank you for answering my questions bro i appreciate it last one, is there any torque specs you applied to anything you took off?
Not except for the lug nuts lol. Very tight on the frame components, and just “normal” torque on the rest of it.
What state r u in?
Minnesota!
2:00 I broke it
Bro same 😂😂
I thought the heat exchanger was the radiator 💀?
If speaking in terms of the engine you’d be correct. Not the intercooler though.
@@Pete_Tech_ Okok thank you just making sure because I just bought the part and I’m going to install it tomorrow 🫡(thanks for the video btw)
how much did this guy pay your shop for this work?
I would typically do this job for around $450-500
@@Pete_Tech_ excluding the new exchanger right?
No that labor lol
