Wow, you skipped right over getting the coupler back on the turbo on the passenger's side. It's a total PITA to get it back on and even more so to tighten the clamp. Wanting to see how you did that was the whole reason i wanted to see this video. You didn't show jack for either part and made it seem like it went together in seconds. TRUST ME PEOPLE! IT'S A BIIIIIGGGGG PITA!
Took me about 15 minutes, yes PITA. What ended up working almost instantly was using a flat head to spread the silicone away from the coupler and letting air in on all sides. After that, it wiggled out pretty easily. If anyone else is still working on this in the future...
You are absolutely not wrong I did mine today and boy 😂another thing I did that might work was stick my hand in and use a 8mm sockets and unscrew it by hand it work scuffed up the knuckles a bit but it worked a lot better
Love this video. But man I’m salty that you make it look easy. My cars coupler rings were a PAIN to get off. One was even behind the coupler. However, it’s a very doable install and a great product.👍🏾
my 1 hour fun time turned into hell, i didn’t have a bendy extension and that passenger side coupler…. i wanted to die. I’ve given up, defeated, tired, sore hands, i shall try again tomorrow (i refuse to buy an extension)
Will there be any horsepower gains without a tune? I live in a country where there isn’t any one that can tune your car. What is the benefit if I don’t get the car tuned and have these intake?
Not too much benefit in horsepower without a tune, the only benefit you’d get is the sound and even that is minimal with the hood closed. Have you looked into remote tuning? Racebox, sonictuned and a few others offer remote tuning, you might wanna check them out!
One of The main points of a tune is to get the most out of your bolt ons (intake, catback, turbo, etc), if you tune your engine first youll have to go back for a retune everytime you get a performance part put on. Its not gonna hurt your engine dude🤣
I may be missing something but I don't see how these would give you much gain for the money they cost (close to $500). The intake part ends up right back where they were sucking in hot air.
They aren't sucking in hot air like.most short air ram intakes because of how the air is fed into the stock oem ones the aftermarket ams retains that as well so they pull cold air from outside Also the turbo heat this air up and the intercooler cool it back down before the throttle body anyway so more focus should be on Upgraded heat exchanger tbh
It’s like no where can I find what exact tools I need so stupid. The job is super easy my car is parked about half a mile away to walk to and from my house because nobody can say what socket sizes you need is dumb af
Simply use compressed air, 30-40 psi, from the inside out to clean the filters. For a deep cleaning from extreme environments, a biodegradable cleaner such as Simple Green or other mild shop degreasers can be used. Simply place the filter in a solution or spray the cleaner on the filter. Allow the solution to loosen the particulate and then rinse thoroughly. Shake the filter or use compressed air from the inside outward to remove residual water and allow a full day or two to dry.

The background music is legit. 😂😂
Can u guys do a video on installing the coolant expansion tank for the fender?
That is a great suggestion. We will shoot it when the next one is installed.

Question, how come some say Infiniti on top of the airbox and some say Alpha?are they the same....also does this void your warranty??
it's same
Holy shit that passenger claim tighten was impossible 🤦♂️
How long does it take to install these intakes ?
around an hour, but us home mechanics know that that’s more like 3 hours lol
How do you get rid of the check engine?
If there is a check engine after install, you installed the MAF incorrectly.

are they 3” intake ?

Do I need a tune after I install these?
We do recommend a tune after installing. You can call us or contact a rep at sales@amsperformance.com for more info

Can they remote tune to another country
@@wizlb I was think so but it’s best to check with them to make sure
Yes!!! More of this please
You got it!
Just ordered these should I get a tune?
Never install any engine mods without a tune. You will fuck up your engine

Dont listen to Adam. Install all your parts you want before a tune so the tuner can extract the max power out of said parts

Can I add these on a 3.7 q50?
Sorry but these do not fit the 3.7.
@@AngeloB_91 We use the stock MAF housing to retain OEM drivability! We have never had an issue from any customers regarding this problem 👍

Can you tell me what other sockets are needed aside from 10mm? Looks like a 1/4 inch socket for the clamps, no?
How about a cleaning vid

Yea, what a fucking joke, just take them to a shop, pointless to try and do it yourself at home.
