Another major part of the equation is how much did your total (unsold) inventory increase compared to last year. Because if you took home only 20k in profit but your inventory increased 100k, then that would be a phenomenal year.

Great video, no one ever talks about their dead stock and when to re donate and how much they write off. How many hours do they work a day. Maybe some ideas for more videos.
I have never donated listed inventory. I would rather mark the price down until it sells. I know not to purchase shoes that have no demand, so everything I have will sell eventually. Reselling is less than a 40 hour work week including sourcing

Dalton your eBay math was off on the first just minus fees screen. it was 74k - 24k and it said net was 45k

Great job in 2022 Dalton! 1 question (and I know your not a tax professional). the Cost of Goods... isn't that supposed to be cost of goods sold? Aka the price you paid for the inventory you sold in 2022. Not the total money you spent on inventory bought in 2022; just the cost of the products/inventory you sold in 2022. The money you spent on inventory in 2022 that hasn't sold would just be money that your are re-investing into your business and not part of the cost of goods sold. That's how I look at it at least.
There are 3 methods of calculating COGS.. the method you mention & the one I mentioned in the video are both correct

Why don't you sell locally on facebook marketplace, is that something you recommend long term? I have been able to make more sales locally than any other platform. Is there a reason why you stay away from FBM local?
Local sales are capped at how many meetups I can do per day, those are long days & I don’t like to work lol
