I am blown away that in recent history these ABNRML boards are still a thing. I am Jack Downing, APBA Jack, the ABNRML One. And ...a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...I created these thing. Praise Doug Burg. He made a legend...sort of. I am proud these are called the APBA Journal" boards. I gave them over long ago for love of the game. But there is no "they." I did this myself, well, inspired by the AJ writers and innovators before me. (The Pitcher chart is a modified Cox Chart to be honest. I think it was Bill (maybe Bob) Henry that came up with it.
Good to hear from you and I congratulate you on your contribution to the hobby. Be good and be safe in a crazy world that needs much more dice rolling than ever before.
John here. This is great Tony! I downloaded and copied those boards as soon as I finished your video. I used them in my game this evening in my 2001 Hiroshima Carp replay, (cards from Bill Staffa). The boards are fantastic. BTW, the Yakult Swallows won 6-3 to drop the Carp to 43-34-0 on the season. Thanks!
Tony, I have those boards. The only problem is they are from the disc and not a clean copy. Plus, had never seen Rare Plays. Possible to get a clean copy from you? Thanks! J
I don't know what happened, but the instant after I downloaded these boards I was banned from FB for violation of some unknown standard. And they wont discuss why they banned me...
I'm all about cards and dice...I like the charts from the 2000 Premier and the 2001 50th anniversary box sets, although I have the same chart book from the blue box.

Do you know which journal issue number the boards and rare play chart were located in? I noticed a 2/97 on the bottom of the summary page. Thanks.

Great! Glad I could help.
Why would you use APBA boards with Skeetersoft cards??
@@elbonian1166 These cards are APBA board compatible. You could not use SkeeterSoft cards with the ABNRML boards.
Are these NPB cards available to download/purchase?
Great video Tony!!
Thank you, brother. Always nice to hear kind words.
Complicated! What flavor today??
Not at all. Same as basic.
Hi Tony, thanks for doing this. I’m not on Facebook. Is there another way of getting the journal boards?
Hm… Tough. Send me an email at combatpainter at Gmail
Interesting video. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks!
Where do i find the marino boards
These are not the Marino Boards. Go to the APBA FB group and the ABNRML boards are there.
Great overview, thanks

Sold that a long time ago.

Maybe I brought too much attention to them and they may be too similar to the set sold by Herson in Atlanta. These are out there.
Good job T.
Glad you got somethings out of it.

Cards and dice are retro and retro is cool.
Tony. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. I just started with master rules. Super fun 🎲😑
Master rules work if you are patient.
