Just got the call today my new trans was waiting for me at a shipping terminal in OH. Can't wait to see it and install it!
Ahh that ol'BA10 lol. 20 years plus about 5 years of 380hp stroker before it bit the dust one cold -28 day when I got too rowdy 😆 Loved the gear ratios on them though, for the street, awesome and easy to speed shift. Technically for what it is designed for it was fine. It doesn't like being beaten that's all. AX15 is a good trans. One of it's flaws is the fairly soft press the gears have. Put a lot of power through it and it'll push a gear off. Welding the assembly give it much much higher HP capacity. Too bad the AX15 ratios are also stupidly short. If someone would make a taller gear ratio set for at least 1st and 2nd would be nice.
I have the problem my tranfer case not want too go to my Ax15 any the input were I can buy everything aneed for Ax15 i have everything only my tranfer casa not fee
These things were the worst junk. Had an 88 jeep with this pile of shit. Stripped out the reverse gears because the reverse idler didn’t mesh properly. Finally threw it away and swapped in an AX-15.

When replacing the input shaft on the transfer case, what needs to be replaced in the transfer case (seals/bearings/etc.)?
