My favorite car of all time.if I had the money, I would buy straight away mate. My first car was the mk 2 1300 in red and I sprayed the bottom half in black with a gold line down the side. I'll get 1 someday and I'll stick a v6 in it and custom the paintwork. I'm 63 and I've been painting cars, classics too since 1976.great days. Miss them so bad. I watch the sweepy and the professionals all the time to see all the old cars of that eara 😊❤
One of the best looking Cortina's ever made. My uncle had a 1600E in Gold, the all wood dash looked great. Only problem was the dreaded rust, it was cruel to these cars. A rare find, and should do well in the auction.
1974 melbourne australia = i saw a blue 2 door gt - with a 3.0 v6 capri engine gearbox - super clean - garage project , black interior with neat mag wheels extractors weber carby and fat tires .
Fitted one of these engines with gear box to a herald convertable, with a bunch of pipes , janspeed rear box , sounded like a Ford Mexico great car with this engine fitted and other mods . I was 25 years old then!
My first car was a 1300 Cortina i put wide wheels on it, the handling a bit hard but it held the road great. The only thing wrong was the rust i was always filling it rubbing down and spraying it. But happy memories.
More i look im sure this is the same one it was the owners fathers, i saw it before the restoration , i was interested in buying it but he wasnt interested, a few years later we saw it at a meet a few miles away and it had been over restored and quite a poor job, lots of filler on the joints under the bonnet.

I had a tiny vodka for every 'nice and tidy' , a gin for 'nice and clean' and a whisky chaser for 'straight' . I hope to be out of rehab to bid on it

As old as me... but in much better condition! 😋👍
Nice and tidy nice and clear..
Was this from Anglesey that was restored about 6 years ago.
Mk2 series one , don’t think it should have satin black panel between lights
Ford does give you more.. a classic car not immaculate but after 50 odd years what is..
Nice car but a lot of filler

GTs didn’t have rostyles did they?
No but at the time a lot of people put them on.
