A nice one, good colour ,just above my finance range when current, but what a classic they have become ! ford GB were on the top of their game from 1966-- 1982 ,every dog has it"s days I have heard it said!
That green,,,I used to believe that the ford's painted that colour hardly rusted.. Until I saw a xd falcon totally rusted.. Must have driven into the sea
@@alandagmar576 Ahh yes.. it’s a shame they didn’t give it the 2 litre.. The 1600 cross flow was a wonderful engine especially to work on, as was the gearbox and then they went to the 2ltr ohc lump in the mk3… The car looked good but didn’t go very well and handled like a bag of wet cement..

1972 ? sorry mate they where building mk3s by then , that's a 1970 model
Yep I'd concur.
But very nice all the same!
Apologies keith! You are right, it was a slip of the tongue, but thankfully we found a home for it fairly quickly :)
No worries , just sold mine , now i wish i had not.
This is a Series 2, 1600e. It it wrong to call a 1600e either a Mk1 or Mk2. They are either Series 1 or Series 2!
Wrong again… It’s a Ford Cortina Mk2 1600E …
@@noodlesiis I wonder why Ford never made a 2000E Cortina but built a Corsair 2000E ?
@@alandagmar576 They did make one… The Mk3 Cortina 2000E..
@@noodlesiis I mean the Mk 2 ?
