Beautiful n exquisite, I call it "the gentleman's car"🤌🏾👌🏾or "OLD MONEY CAR"
O carrinho ficou lindo.
Absolutely stunning car 😊😊 A very good friend of mine has a ferrari 355 F1. He never uses it only does a few hundred miles a year. Can't see the point of having it really. 😢 I've had lots of cars including Rolls Royces, Mercedes, jags, and stacks more. Lots of classics and i used them all the time. Around 4 times a week which is perfect 👌. If someone buys this stunning ferrari 😊 please can you use it. At least if its only in the dry. No point in having it to sit in your garage ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Video too quick , slow down
Transversely mounted , was indicated by the T , but it meant the position was switched to be longitudinal mounted, as per the 348 model it was based on. All Mondial models had a removable rear subframe to access all belts etc. Nice low mileage original car. I’d been loathed to do the touch ins to keep absolute originality but even if you did , it would be no down marker to the car. Lovely.
It ain't great, but its a nice start for a great useable classic. Is it worth 10-14k? No, but someone will buy it for more
Thought you were pissed doing the video, All that shaking about. Seemed like you were in a hurry.....poor presentation
I can imagine the guy who owns a super minx ,always called gary
longitudinally mounted, instead of transversely mounted on the previous model
Bulkhead sound proofing missing was on the road for 14 years so likely a high mileage and been around the clock hence the replacement seat covers
Be great to see it on the road being used. But I doubt it. Will be sold as a 'asset' and purchased as one as well.
Beautiful! This will be a very nice car once restored. I haven't seen one as good as this for a very long time. 👌
This is a pre-Custom model.
The air filter housing is not original, yes it’s straight but this needs a fair bit of work
Cortina air box and the exhaust manifold isn't original either..
Where is the cast RS exhaust manifold stamped RS
They did crack and many were replaced.
Omg fantastic i worked my apprenticeship on Hillmans &Talbot, certainly more fun to work on than the Ecu module rubbish on the road today
Dobu poster
My dad had one of these. Beautiful, smooth Rolls Royce engine, power steering, luxurious interrior. Not the most reliable though - there were a number of breakdowns. It was eventually stolen in 1976 and replaced by a Ford Cortina - quite the come-down!
Do love the time spent on this car - not quite concours, but close. For £26,432 you'd expect it to be though! Non-original electric fuel pump is hideously noisy - with all the bucks shelled out I would have bought the quietest one on the market. Should have left the original in the engine bay, though. Oil cap is wrong and should be an oil bath for an Oz car. Non-Oz brake auto master cylinder is wrong too, but looks nice. They should have thrown the ridgy-didge Oz number plates in for the price. Does do a warm start nicely and the inlet manifold doesn't leak and the exhaust doesn't blow - the non-kosher pipes and clamp make it worthwhile. I wouldn't drive it much, though - the Oz-correct intake rubber hose breaks! Non-kosher radials are a real turn-off (unless they were period Michelin 'X', lol) as they make it a mongrel to park, and it's got an oil drip, although there are classes of 'concours' now. Where's the wheelbrace and jack? (watch out - it puts dents in the rear door - ask me how I know!). Sorry, but with years spent flogging yourself under the bonnet of one, you get to notice some things.
One day when I have the space for storage I'm going to get myself a Dolly. This one looks lovely, a rare find indeed in this original condition.
Why don't these people prepare the car before the view?
Sounds like a bag of nails .... Lots of things not to be sorted .... Leave this one alone.
A few years ago you could not give these type of cars away, now it will sell for a good price!!
Surface corrosion??? Yikes man
@ 1:44 - “Surface corrosion on the righthand side” (wheel arch). You don’t need a handful of bog on ‘surface corrosion’. No mention of the panel-gap differences lefthand and righthand side of boot lid. Lefthand door gaps uneven. Wouldn’t touch it with a 40-foot pole.
Arches full of filler.
Shame it’s not the 1850HL with O/D.
Or a Sprint.
bit of a mess but it is a G. REG
That's the most authentic "posh Geordie" accent I've heard since my school days . . . .
😂😂😂
Superb!
still looks fresh 👍🏻🔥💯💪🏻
My dad had a burgundy 2.8l and black 3l version. They have been in their same house in Glasgow approaching 45 years. His B reg, was his first to have his private plate on it around 1983 / 4.
Did this sell and if so roughly what price
0:12stil for sale
It's a 1992. It's K prefix registration -1992.
Beautiful, that's got to have had a full respray because it looks absolutely perfect, is that a mark 2 estate in the background
It’s impossible for a car of that age be in show room condition so someone is lying
Wow what an immaculate example. My dream car of the 80’s (I ended up with a Manta GTE) Thanks for showing us it, it was a real pleasure to see!
but this is evo
Museum piece!
Really good playback - I also learned a thing or two about what to look for when buying second hand
I bet that came from Passey and Porter in Weston super Mare.
I had a Red one on a "Y" plate, the front wings and front of the bonet started to rust over time.
Just short of £40,000 in todays money
One to avoid
I've got one on my driveway. 1960. Needs the clutch slave doing now.
shouldn’t still be here like 🤛🏻🔥💯💪🏻
This is beautiful. When is this car being auctioned?
Absolutely love loved the Ford Capri Especially 2.8i(wagon) 🔥 R.U.C Traffic branch had a blue one😁 .....
My old man bought a Beta 2000 saloon brand new in 1979 when I was 5, big soft spot for these, despite the doom mongering over the rust and subframe issues his lasted till the late 1980s. Bit of an odd looking car but from what he says it drove great and I remember the interior was lovely
