I just recently bought an Air compressor almost identical to this BSA one. It's off Amazon and about 150 usd cheaper. The quality is exceptionally good. Even the packaging for shipping. The only difference is the "power supply". It is not internal as the BSA compressor but it is a separate unit. Power supply works for both 110v and 220v or tou can hook the jumpers to a 12v car battery So far so good.
Good review, so bought one. It’s made in China and badged BSA. The review made light of the maintenance and said it was all covered in the information booklet! They aren’t simple and as far as easy to read and follow, I’ll let you know once they come back from Bletchley Park and the Enigma team have had a go at them!
Im 71 and still use a hand pump. Works anywhere I can carry it with me, no noise and keeps me from seizing up. Plus I didn't have to spend a stupid amount of money for a one use object. Each to their own.
@@bendebeer8607 What you do, do not fill from empty to start with, have it filled by the dive centre, then when your pressure drops from its max fill just top up with the pump. no work at all. No need for 200 knee bends. just do ten,
I bought one, i also have a 7ltr as well you set the presure gauge and from 90 bar to 220 bar takes 1.30mins also without the risks of blowing any seals on your gun. It is a bit loud but quietense down as presure builds great little compressor and great value as well. Well impressed with it.
Looks a nice little unit, I've been using my ebay special for nearly two years and use it to top up my 12ltr tank from 200 - 290 bar which allows plenty of air when grandkids are round all five rifles are used.
Great reviews as usual Andy but one glaring error ... Birmingham is not in the Black Country .... Dudley, Sandwell and some small parts of Wolverhampton and Walsall ... but not Birmingham I'm afraid.
The first one of those I purchased blew up within 30 seconds of use. The replacement worked well and I am enjoying it a whole lot. Your review is spot on. Ciao, Marco.
I would suggest to close the bleed valve on the compressor after it startet a couple seconds, becourse a vacuum effect could damage the interiors of the compressors, so suggest from a guy on YT that had many different compressors.
I bought the BSA compressor back in Nov 2021 from Vector Air, I don't know what Andy had for breakfast before this video but I have the BSA badged compressor and there is no way I can lift it like he does here whilst sat down. In use it took 2 mins to fill a Steyr LP series cylinder from empty and 6 mins for a FWB 800 Alu cylinder, also from empty. Now if you deliberately/accidentally completely unscrew the bleed screw and then put it back in, 2 things will happen, one could be nasty in the worst case when you next run the compressor: 1. The cylinder if it has a gauge will show an increase in pressure and so will the compressors own gauge or 2. The cylinders gauge will happily indicate an increase in pressure, but what are the chances of you watching it and not watching the gauge on the compressor. Now here's the potential nasty result, Your not really paying proper attention with brain in gear, the gauge on the compressor is not showing any pressure.?Turn it off quckly, what has happened is that when you removed the bleed bolt/screw you didn't see a small ball bearing fall out, find the ball bearing and put it back in and the bleed screw.
This is a compressor I would keep in my truck but not being able to fill my 4-. 4500 psi carbon fiber tanks…yeah…I will keep my Yong Heng cheap compressor. 3 years and still going strong. Yes sir. Maintenance, oil changes, cooler filled with ice water, and the use of a fan keep the temperature below 104 degrees Fahrenheit. O-4500 psi on a 6.8 ltr tank takes 45 minutes nonstop but the temps don’t get above 104 even then. Topping off 4 tanks from 250 -300 bar only takes 15 minutes. The unit you showed us would be perfect for someone only filling a gun. I think I should get one for back up and field usage. What a great time to be into PCPs. Thanks for the heads up Andy. Cool product!
The Nomad 2 I purchased after your review is still doing a chuffing good job. I noticed most of the switches etc. are very similar to this BSA unit. However no bag and I have a brass bleed valve. KBO.

Thanks for this video. Right now i own a diana bandit pcp air pistol. 200 bar at 50cc. From 100 bar to 200 bar is about 30 pumps with the handpump, which can go to max 200 bar. With that i can do about 21 shots (3 magazines on the .22cal). I am thinking about to buy the huben gk1, just because that one is regulated and you can tune it down to get less power, but more shots. (Shooting at 5 meter distance i don't need a lot of power, but it's fun for when I need / want more power for once). However, the huben can take 300bar, which is the fill pressure of a scuba tank. Meaning that after the first filling i cant get it to 300bar anymore and will probably need a compressor for that pistol. I also did the calculation between co2 cartridges and scuba tank fillings. I have to get more then 80 scuba tank fillings to even out on co2 cartridges 😅

Hello Andy. Just got my BSA air compressor yesterday and how disappointed was I. Checked it all over and read the instruction booklet before I tried it out. Plugged it into my mains supply and the first fan started. Then, nothing. No lighting up of the switches, no fan (loud noise in your you tube show) start-up, no nothing. Very disappointed so tried to phone my supplier to ask what had gone wrong. No answer as shop shut on Wednesday so I went on their internet page and left a message. Next day at 11.04 in he morning and no reply email or phone call from them. Oh well.
Good review as always Andy, succinct and informative. I guess that the BSA unit you'd rate as better than the Nomad 2 and the SMK 30 in your pump review. Just as small and compact and far easier to use. @Slump SG below, I'm 74 and still use a hand pump, but then I only have the one pcp and it's only got a small cylinder and I can fill it easily in 10-15 mins of gentle pumping with a cup of tea between! BUT if I were ever tempted to get a compressor I think this would be the one :-)
Question… as a novice air rifle enthusiast. I’ve only just bought my first PCP (webley Nemesis X PCP) but as it’s a bottle that gets attached, is this BSA compressor still suitable, as he said this compressor isn’t for filling tanks, does this still count..? Or can this BSA compressor fill all types of PCP rifles but won’t fill scuba air tanks..? Is that what he meant. Thanks

It all went to plan with this new one so full marks to my dealer as the previous pump came with a all working correctly, ticket attached. Well, all good now so I'm very pleased with my pump.
Being in GB I am sure you have knowledge of Lane Regulators ' Just got a message from Mr. Lane that due to poor health they are closing. being here in the US I was wondering what is to become of the aftermarket regulators avaliable for upgrading airguns. I have had a difficult finding information.
would you keep this one over the yong heng?
you can get it without the BSA branding on amazon for 469.
Great tool- Thanks
Might be a stupid question but can I use my air compressor that I bought from Aldi a few back???
Nice house mate.
Yup.. I kinda liked this compressor.
Never mikd it is not suited for big tanks. A quite so compact, rather light weight, dual-voltage design seems way good to me.
Awesome review! That lawn mower part was hilarious!
Massive thanks once again to Andy and crew!
Hi mp5 PDW review please, love the channel !
Ps I'd love to see a review of the new umarex S&W M29 bb revolver as I've always fancied a replica of Dirty Harry's gun!
Another great review 👍...I suppose this is excatly the same compressor as they one on sale on the mainland with the Gamo logo ?
Best unit i"v seen ,,
its same as GX CS3, just labeled bsa.
Funny how it looks like my made in China GX C3 compressor. Couple minor changes but still made in China and rebranded by BSA.
How is it holding up Kevin, ratings are good 4.3 / 5 but also people having problems not getting good pressure any more. yours has also external 230volt unit? this one is build in. am also looking at the Vevor 350 W 4500PSI. looks a bit like this one also build in 230 V unit.
@@TophatOrange mine is still going strong. No problems as of yet. Mine is 110v
Hi there from India, as we all know PCP compressors are prone to wear & tear, what about maintenance, I am fed up with Yang Hang which is water cool, please tell us about how we will service it if it's needed.
Andy i've got one of these however it seems to now not push air once it's reached around 170 Bar... DO you know if they're easy to service..?? Wonder how I diagnose what's happened to it.....
Oh well.
That is sweet .
Hi...How long to fill from empty to 200 bar? And what about buddy bottle rifles...
Can we get your opinion the following compressor ? GX E-L2 PCP 4500PSI airgun compressor.
So does the clx now have a reg fitted .is that the addition? Did they have to do this to get the shot count up to the advertised amount .?
I can’t decide between this and the nomad II. Decisions decisions.
Hi just a quick question am new to the PCP world would any compressor do for topping up ?
Ty in advance
Question… as a novice air rifle enthusiast. I’ve only just bought my first PCP (webley Nemesis X PCP) but as it’s a bottle that gets attached, is this BSA compressor still suitable, as he said this compressor isn’t for filling tanks, does this still count..? Or can this BSA compressor fill all types of PCP rifles but won’t fill scuba air tanks..? Is that what he meant. Thanks
And what about moisture filter?
Morning Andy, Missed ya last friday old son.
Are they going to make one capable of filling tanks?
It is rebadged from GX Pumps a CS3 pump and cheaper from GX or even Ebay / Amazon. It's not made in the UK by BSA at all.
Would be interested to see how long to pump up an empty reservoir on the gun?
Hi sir. Does that compressor can fill a 100 cu carbon air tank air venturi brand ?
No Filters or did I miss it?
