I've read mixed reviews on the fan performance in hot weather with the AC on. Have you had a chance to thrash the car in hot weather with it installed? if so, how did the cooling system perform?
I've had no issues with it at all when the A/C is on in the summer, and I live in Fresno CA where it gets close to 110 degrees. But it also probably helps that I have an aluminum radiator. I knew my car needs as much cooling as possible so I did the radiator and the fan shroud and it works so much better then what comes stock.
So I ran into the same situation with the wiring harness and connectors. Hardwiring directly, does that mean both are on at all times or does one only kick on after your car reaches a certain temperature? I have a 99 NB and this is where I’m stuck, I want to install it properly without having to do a workaround and messing with the stock harness. I really wish mishimoto didn’t cheap out on this, there stuff is not cheap when comparing to other competitors on the market.
All I did was eliminate the plug on the drivers side fan. It works just like the stock fans. The only problem with it is I would have to cut the wires on the drivers side to take out the fans
Tape that gap between rad and body, it helps as well
It's the small things that make the car :)

I mean they are louder than the stock fans. But I think that's normal

I had this fan kit and has caused me over heating issues i would put back your oem fans if i were you.
I'm not sure why yours didn't work, but mine kicks butt in 110 weather after a year of owning it
Did u utilize the seal tape it came with
I did
