Thanks Mr. McKinney for the info. I've had adhd all of my life. Trying to retrain my brain to look before I leap, so to speak. It's gonna be a tough road. I'm 63, and the gray matter really doesn't want to cooperate. Your video was greatly appreciated, sir.
Thanks for sharing your story! It makes me so happy to hear the video connected with you. Please never discount yourself because of age (I’m 64) or ADHD - in fact, your life experience combined with creative ADHD thinking can be incredible assets for critical thinking! Keep growing and learning - you're clearly crushing it! 💪😊 Psss - this week’s episode starts off a new series on “mindset” which is complimentary to thinking skills.
There’s a lot to take from this video. It’s a comprehensive guide to critical thinking with practical exercises to put things in to practice. Thank you
What a video packed with gems. I will have to watch it again to really digest all those good information. I started to read his book which at first is also really really good 😊
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video and likewise for the book. Check out the rest of the videos in the THINK series/playlist … th-cam.com/play/PLvB-SRr-lUbM1BElmkABhgFD1P5OjJYuy.html&si=jbO0KIcE7wNBT2zM

This in my view is a first class masterclass presented succinctly & effectively much more than some of the longer presentations I've seen on the topic! Thank you.
This was an amazing explanation of how to think critically . I truly all the effort put into making this video, truly it has transformed my life for the better, and it is thanks to your generosity and kindness... I am grateful for your willingness to share these tips, I pray that you live long and happy. Thank you Phil Mckinney ❤
@@PhilMcKinney it looks like this will be a good topic for debate, that is whether intelligence is fixed according to genetics or can be improved by learning or other means. I encourage you to read the book “mindsets” by carol dweck who presents evidence that intelligence can improve with a growth mindset. Actually, come to think of it, you are advocating mastering critical thinking skills, isn’t this in itself evidence (if this holds true) or holds premise that intelligence is not fixed but can be improved? By the way, thanks for a very good video on the topic of critical thinking. I plan to listen to more of your videos in the future.
Thanks for the tip. My vocal cords were damaged in Feb ‘23 following my open heart surgery at Mayo. Testing shows the damage should not be permanent. Drs are trying different ways to restore my voice. I’m going to try Ginger … and will report back the results. Thanks again for the advice.
Glad the video found you just in time for Thanksgiving! Now you can critically analyze all those "secret family recipes" making their way to the table 😄 Thanks for watching and happy questioning everything (except maybe those time-tested holiday cooking traditions)!
Interesting comparison … but no. Never heard of Ford before your comment - so I watched it. I disagree with the premise that IQ is a “skill” you can learn and improve. Genetics play an oversized role in determining it. Critical Thinking however is a skill that anyone can learn and improve.

Isn’t this a verbatim copy of Jeffrey Ford’s video on raising IQ???
