Hey there! Do you have a tutorial on how to swap the projector out? I’m thinking of doing this on my 2013 VW CC with similar BiXenons and am having trouble finding help.
The best thing I can recommend is to buy a spare set of headlights and open them up to save on time you can only sell one set of the other when you're done. Being that your car is a little older you might get lucky and have Bolton projectors and then you can just unbolt them and bolt in the Protectors of your choice. You may have to drill a few holes to get them to line up it's honestly not very hard. In my case the projector is molded into one big piece so we had to cut it off and make all new holes. It's honestly not a hard job it's just a very involved because of how far down you have to get the car apart and the fact that it's permaseal
I also wanted to add if you're picking up a spare light and you've never done something like this before by one that's broken / for parts because no matter what you do you can't hurt it or destroy its value. A great practice tool
The Audi has a raise on the left not a dip in the center. You ajust the headlight according to the lower part of the cutoff in the center, so on the left the Audi one will be raised higher than the Morimoto. It's for better visibility on the left side of the road.
hey thanks for the input, i see what you're saying esp at the 20sec mark with the wall shots but in my experience no matter how i adjusted them 5"drop at 25' or even perfectly level and past level there was always a blind spot right in front of me on the road. close ups of the cut-off shield th-cam.com/video/75j8-L4O7Qo/w-d-xo.html
@@dufonrafal i hear ya, ive found no matter how they are adjusted the output is weak My 04 allroad has more output from the factory with yellowed lenses and old bulbs
@@96ej I believe you, I’m not saying they’re good :) I was just explaining how this cutoff works and saying that the proper adjustment in the US is 2"/25ft.

Thanks for the reply!! Were your headlights curve adaptive by chance?
@@kimballwhite no, just car height adaptive and that is still in place

@@96ej 2" at 25' for the lowest part of the cutoff.

Came from the grumpy penguin
Welcome! Super happy to have you here, I'm not nearly as good at editing or shooting as the grumpy penguin but I'm doing my best :-)
