Excellent news that you got it running👍 Rare car too, facelift Connoisseur CVT which done right with everything fixed, roof lining done , door cards replaced ,dent & bubbling arches done , would be a desirable 45 with a decent resale value 👍
What a nice bright Rover. Even better now that the door opens and the engine starts! 😀 I like confusing videos! I used to especially enjoy those random bits & pieces thrown together featuring all the bits that didn't fit into other videos! Of course, that wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea and having one focus for a video is much more logical and traditional. Speaking of tradition, 'I always think that 'Neville' is quite a traditional name. Possibly its a little old-fashioned in this day and age but, as happens with cars, names are often 'face-lifted' with new bizarre spellings by, I always think, people who can't spell properly in the first place! 😁
Dick, you have it seems, taken it upon yourself to emulate our good and most revered friend Windy Miller. Another subscriber ( lowly as we are ) has chosen to post a real life reaction with tales of woe added. Hats off to you my good friend 🦖
Busy Mustard! It's a good thing to stay busy. Neville's a bit of a practical joker😮.....#FUBCU 😮 . He needs work to be sure but, it's not too far gone. Hopefully you didn't throw away all your Door bits🚗👀🔧🪛🧰😒....
Well done young man, proves that you start with the basics. Some people wouldn't have thought immediately anyway about the fuel shutoff. Your certainly off to a good start with this car, progress 😊,
Ok, i do agree some cars are better than being cubed by the scrap man . But lets get it sorted , MOT'd and out the door...gas and electric paid.. done. 😊
Had a Sorn 05 Firefrost 45 Club se till recently. Payed 4 years insurance and lockup rent. Two new Bosch batteries trying to start it. Lost use of garage with threat of being charged removal so had to call the scrapman. Started for him third go on 4 year old petrol. Just worked out I payed £2540 to store + insure 4 years exactly a car I only payed £1350 in 2016.
Much better format… the discipline of producing a coherent video over time seems to keep you on track fixing worthwhile cars and use your resources productively…. having Tom and Karl around seems to be a good motivation. It’s sad how cheapened the 45 became at the end compared to the 400 but this is almost a nice one !
It's a car you've bought when you can say, someone's been here before you attempting to fix things who doesn't know what they're doing. The dashboard is really bad, I wonder who signed that off at Rover.

Thank you. I am going to post a leftovers video - none of that will make any sense ☺️
Great, I shall look forward to it!

I don't have any replacement door cards, so I will try something else.

Thank you. There are a couple of minor things to deal with before it can go for MOT
@@ProjectNigel I am sure there are 😄.
Late night content. Nice 😊
Have you ever played go Johnny go go go go?
I don't think so

A job well done. There not dog hairs in the car, it's just whats fell out of your nose.
🤣🤣
CVT? Yikes
Yes
But they are lovely!

The dashboard on the mk2 45 is just poor quality.
My pug 406 cut out after a spring collapsed…fortunately it was the inertia switch, once pressed it rattled back into life
Overly sensitive things, eh?
@@ProjectNigel I was happy that came back to life
Where can one get a V6 auto 45 exhaust original these days? he he?
Such a shame that River went cheap just as the Koreans realised that they would go quality, bet a Kia from 2005 is in better nick 🤔
Yes, unfortunately, Rover wasn't looked after at all
😐
