I like lentil soup so will try yours next time. Need to get more lentils first though. My diet is plant based vegan but I enjoy watching everything you make and the tip for cauliflower in the biscuits is fantastic. Looking beautiful as you always do.
I appreciate the major changes in bread as its difficult to maintain weight loss with everything we eat has to have bread I know peoples who eat bread with everything even rice. Well done creative bread making and the touch of Zaater made my day I add zaater to almost everything. Again many many thanks
I made the lentil soup, and it came out delicious!! I made for my family and they loved. I received so many good complements!! Thanks Blanch, it was delicious and super fast. I love vegetarian/ vegan + Middle Eastern dishes!
Ahhh, I am so happy to get the first review of the recipe, and glad you all loved it, isn't it great when something so easy tastes so good?(and healthy too!) Best wishes, B
Thank you so much for these amazing vegan & vegan option recipes, I can't wait to make them! I just finished eating a big pot of your delicious Mujaddara, I love it.
Blanche, I love this!! You’re so informative and innovative in your videos! I learned so much from this! And the cauliflower biscuits are an awesome idea! Your soup looks delicious too! I make mine completely different but I can’t wait to try your recipe! It’s amazing how there’s countless ways to make the same dish
Thank you habibtee, indeed there are soooo many ways to make the same recipe, and I am glad you share that view. So many people get bent out of shape like "no you are supposed to do this" or why didn't you add that? Recipes are like an art project, no two are the same! ;)
Of course!! That’s the beauty of cooking and eating, everywhere you go and whoever makes it, it always ends up just slightly different and all delicious :)
Love Adas (pink lentil) soup. I make it all the time and can have it everyday! It's comfort food. Many restaurants in the middle east serve a free cup between when one sits down and when one orders their food. Similar to how courtesy bread is served here in the US. Cumin is fantastic with it. Sa7teen Blanche!
No wonder Middle Eastern people are healthier, a lentil soup rather than a bread starter is a great idea! Basil I mentioned you a couple of times in this one in regards to the lowcarb bread!
Blanche, flattered! Very inventive. Never thought about combining the cauliflower with the coconut and almond flower. Can't wait to try. My love for this food channel grows. Teslam eidik.
Put some olives in pieces and you can use corn floor the one that they are using for polenda and baking poweder or the beer colture that they are using for making bread
I'm not a big fan of lentils but after trying this I'll probably love it another great recipe Blanche (: and cauliflower as flour that's brilliant and looks delicious!
Delicious soup👍👍. I also made the cauliflower biscuits😀. Nothing to be compared to bread😂. I Am A Bread Addict😂. However my favorite was with everything bagel seasoning.
Haha I know, nothing comes close to bread, but I dip the biscuits in hummus and I love the flavor together. Plus my blood sugar doesn't go up when I eat them lol. Thanks for trying! xo
As a person who has lost 94 lbs using a low carb diet, in combination with intermittent fasting, I really appreciate the low carb za'atar bread. Its always nice to find low carb approximations of the high carb foods I used to enjoy. Thank you so much! As a challenge, is there a way you can do a video on how to make low carb Middle Eastern desserts - especially baklava and kanafeh?
Drake Santiago my mom makes a coconut kunafeh with shredded coconut and ricotta cheese and sweetens it with a erythritol and stevia mixed powder. You can even add rose or orange blossom water and make it into a syrup but it really doesn’t need it. It tastes so yummy!
HI Drake--congratulations! KETO and IF are an awesome way of life, and you are on the right track to lifelong wellness! I just made a keto namoura for my father the other day (a lowcarb variation of semolina/farina yogurt cake drenched in syrup). If I get the guts I can release that one. Now baklava and kunafa are a little harder because they both contain dough, I need to think about that one. But for kunafa and baklava you can reduce the sugar dramatically by using allulose syrup, which is the lowest glycemic sweetener out there.: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WVDDCL6/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B06WVDDCL6&linkCode=as2&tag=blancheshahee-20&linkId=a37cd46641738d23ae97bd0997a8262a

Can you do a video on how to make candy? There's this candy I buy at our Mediterranean store that's like a white nougat with pistachios. It's very expensive but delicious. also I've bought these cookies at the assyrian bakery that are like sugar cookies but have a rose taste. Like rose flavored cookies. So delicious!
I love lentil soup made with green lentils, carrot slices, chunks of yellow onion, small chunks of freshly cooked bacon, small chunks of fresh baking potatoes, Almost a whole bulb of garlic, and fresh slices of celery! Bacon can be replaced by baked chicken torn or cut into small chunks, use chicken stock made with the juices of fried skin, and hot curry powder. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper, and use Jewish rye bread, dill rye, or caraway rye bread lightly buttered, to soak up extra juices and clean the inside of the bowl when finished. 😋😋😊
In Arabic on the box it says picked in Lebanon, and packaged in Spain. Thankfully Spain also has high produce standards so we could definitely taste the difference between the Cortas food and foods packages in the USA

Yes and for those that are wheat intolerant. THanks...
I make lentil soup with celery, carrots and spinach and eat it with lavash bread and salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, garlic and jalapeños. Yummy
Perfect ingredients for the lentil soup! As a purist, I would go without the carrots., but it's a matter of preference.
I appreciate the major changes in bread as its difficult to maintain weight loss with everything we eat has to have bread I know peoples who eat bread with everything even rice. blanchetv, thank you for the suggestion
I like your video very much. It's really great. I'll keep an eye on your channel. I am your fan and I will support you.
Thank you dear, welcome to the channel!
Can I add almond meal for the zaatar bread instead of the almond flour or coconut flour
You probably can, but almond flour does not absorb as much liquid, so you might need to add more water as you go.
what is the maker of your porcelain pot ? thank you blanch i love lentils all kinds of them' cant wait to find and make you sweet dessert recepie with dates
The pot is by Henkels :)

You made me so hungry right now LOL
Great dish, but what the heck is ‘organic free range’ veggie broth?! Was that a joke ?
