Yes, it was GREAT to decompress a little, and what a gorgeous place to explore! Washington has always been high on our list, so glad we can spend some time here. 👍 -Howard
As a Washingtonian, I'm happy you enjoyed our state. We live on Whidbey Island, and Coupville WA, on the Island runs a good 10° less then the mainland and is a good cool place to explore, as well as home to the Penn Cove Muscles. It very scene and I think you both would love to explore.
Lisa, that sounds fantastic! Will definitely look at Whidbey Island for exploring. Is it easy to ferry over and camp in our RV on the island? 👍 -Howard
@@NewstateNomads the island has a short ferry ride on the south end and another about half way up the island on the west side that connects with th Olimpic Pennisula. There is also a bridge on the north end over Deception Pass and there is a beautiful National Park there. I'm not sure about private camp grounds, but there is a State Park in Coupeville called Fort Casey State Park that has camp sites.
The San Juan Islands are a must see too! Lisa, we are very lucky to call this beautifully diverse state home 🥰 I was born and raised in the Snoqualmie Valley ❤
These last few videos have been all yay! followed by 'oh no!' and then yay!...'oh no!'. :D I hope things go more smoothly sson. And I hope you and the pups are doing okay in this horrible bad heat! Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery!
What a fun and relaxing video. Glad you've left the disappointment and fatigue behind you. Enjoyed the walks enormously. Happy travels. Oh and happy anniversary. 🥳🥂🇳🇱🙋♀️🇳🇿
Thank you! ❤ We did need a few days to decompress and figure out our plan moving forward. Thankfully, Washington state is a great place to explore while you try and figure things out! 👍 -Howard
Us too, Shannon! Scout is such a great hiker, though we still keep her on leash (even if you're allowed to have them off) since still a bit of a "flight risk." 😂 With time and training, we hope to address that with her. 👍 -Howard
So fun to watch these adventures from your viewpoint!!! We had so much fun putting our vlog together and now watching this brings back so many happy memories!! Also not so happy ones, we had pleasently forgotten about out water tank problems hahaha Love you guys! Can't wait till we get to explore together again :)
North Cascades National Park is a great place to explore. Ross Lake floating resort is another amazing place to hike into and check out. Also Colonial Creek Campground is a wonderful camp spot in some huge timber.
I’m laughing with Katelyn on the dinner, because if we do that good, we are doing good. 🤣 We eat the weirdest dinners. “Within Hiking Distance” just hiked to the top of that mountain! Wow that rest stop. Nice.
I absolutely love North Cascades NP and the Cascades mountain's in general. Probably the most beautiful area of America. Oh! And the Olympic NP 🗻🌲👍..... gotta keep a lookout for Sasquatch when it the Great Pacific Northwest forests too🤙
Wow i use to live up in Concrete and up in Marblemount 20 years ago and it's sure is beautiful up there too. If you keep going you can go to Omak that way too
Glad you your Rv got fixed and you got back on the road with friends How was the hot springs? How hot was it? Was as hit Howard said it was? That was a nice hike you all took with your dogs. The food you all cooked looked good. Can’t wait until next video when it comes out. Have a great rest of the week and see you soon.
Thanks, Sherri! The water was a great soaking temperature, not too hot to stay in it for long periods. Don't forget we have 2x videos every week right now (thanks to our Navigators Patreon community!), so look for episodes both on the weekends and midweek! 👍 -Howard
Way to turn the trip around! Not sure how Olive pup would do with that river crossing. At 60 lb it would be hard to carry her, and that river seems pretty fast to walk. Still curious how the FL Sun Dog would react to snow. ✌🏻
Haha, oh we definitely weren't expecting the water to be that high (and way above the creek bed)! 60lbs is a bit much to carry if she won't walk in the water. It's always a mixed bag with our dogs whether they "feel" like walking in the water, so it's just easier to pick them up! 👍 -Howard
Harold, that's an interesting point, and shows the inconsistency happening between the US and Canada. Canadians do have incredibly strict and expensive quarantine policies on reentry to Canada (though that is finally getting lifted partially on July 5) that Americans have never had to deal with if we traveled outside the US. From my perspective, I can't wait for both countries to reopen for all of us to live and travel again like before 2020. Thanks for watching. 👍 -Howard

I never say that I'm jealous of anyone. Maybe envious but mostly I'm happy when I see other people who are happy. Keep sharing your adventures ❤️
Thank you so much, Dave! Sharing the adventure is what drives us, and we're so glad you're along for the journey. 👍 -Howard
What a FUN FUN day! Great place to enjoy, so glad you all had a wonderful adventure after last week.

Mountains are beautiful! Scout has turned out to be quiet the adventure dog! Such a lucky girl that you guys rescued her!
We're ALL so lucky, Sandra! Scout is such a wonderful part of our lives. 👍 -Howard

Glad you enjoyed it, Dolly! Stay tuned, lots more beautiful scenery to come. 😉👍 -Howard
What a cool video! So glad to see Scout out and about hiking! 💖

This looks like an amazing time!!! We will definitely be making a stop in Washington after watching this!
Yes! Washington is worth the trip, and we have so much more to explore of this amazing state. 👍 -Howard
gorgeous scenery
The Great Northwest is one of the best outdoors to explore..
Agree!!! We loved our time there and will definitely be back to explore more one day 😊 thanks so much for watching!

Thanks, Don, us too! 👍 -Howard

Such beautiful country. Watching your adventures truly makes me smile 😊 I love it‼️
Wow it's beautiful there!
I absolutely love North Cascades NP and the Cascades mountain's in general. Probably the most beautiful area of America. Oh! And the Olympic NP 🗻🌲👍..... gotta keep a lookout for Sasquatch when it the Great Pacific Northwest forests too🤙
Love your spirit of adventure ! It is beautiful there!
Thanks, Shirley, and we agree! 👍 -Howard

So beautiful!
It really is! Thanks for watching! 👍 -Howard

Don't think I would have made that hike. Lol 😆
Omg! All puppers hiking, so fun.
Was the water cold?
Lou & Angie
Yep, they LOVE to hike, but Scout has a lot more stamina for the longer trails. Happy to report the water was nice and hot! 👍 -Howard
What a fun video, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it, and thankful as always you are along for the journey! 👍 -Howard
My favorite one and I used to live in the Seattle Issaquah area I wish you could do one at mount rainier and possibly Snoqualmie
:). You guys rock. Thank you.
If you are already there, you will love Leavenworth.
We did love Leavenworth, Sue! Stay tuned for Sunday's episode. 😉👍 -Howard
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY....
Thank you! 👍 -Howard
great video what month were you guys there?
Thanks! This was from our visit earlier in June. 👍 -Howard

Where did you find that great camp table?
Second least visited and yet every campground is booked solid until the end of time. Weird how that works.
Do you have a link to that pop up table you had by the fire?
Yes! It's a great table we've had since hitting the road in 2018. 👍 -Howard www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-High-Tension-Travel-Table/426663665
Just think how many Canadians flew across the border and had their rv driven across by a company and went to FL for the winter.

Who were your friends? Do they have their own channel?
What the what the!??????
