Washington is my home state of 25 years before moving for work. Growing up we camped all the places you featured. Thank you for doing it justice in your video! The 9 months of rain living there can get old, but those 3 summer months, no place like it on Earth. Cheers, and safe travels!
Love this episode. Spent 17 years stationed at NAS Whidbey. When you are around something for so long you take it for granted. You guys made me realize how much beauty there is there. To a have to go back and take it all in. Safe travels and please keep up the great videos.
We have followed you guys for years. We love how well you have edited the info. It is fun, informative and humorous. I will say...I SURE MISS CALEB. He always cracked me up.
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your channel, with all that’s going on in the USA and the world, it’s a nice relaxing time to watch and dream of days we travel !
Extended videos and all the videos that shows u in the thick of it! Are the best! You are all characters and seeIng and learning about them instead of the highlights is absolutely amazing! I love ur adventures and i love your extended cuts with explanations and oops, ups the downs everything. Makes me feel like im.right there with you guys!! Thanks for being one of my most favorite youtube channels!
Love seeing some of the old footage with the kids younger back when I first started watching you guys. Reminded me of when our family did the Olympics in the early 2000's.
We love America’s National Parks! Our favorite is the Blue Ridge Parkway and leaf peeping in the Fall. However; after Hurricane Helene it’s closed indefinitely. So it’s neat seeing the West Coast parks which we would love to visit with your itinerary!
Great video. FYI, you cannot get to Victoria, BC on a ferry from Port Townsend. You can get to Victoria via ferry from either Port Angeles (Black Ball ferry) or Seattle (the Victoria Clipper). I know, lots of Ports in WA state.
Fantastic narration by Trish through the psrks in Washington. I lived in Newhalem as my father was an engineer on the dams and powerhouses up there - long before the North Cascade NP was established. Looking forward to your next adventures.
I just rode from Alberta thru glacier national park, thru Idaho and followed the Lewis and Clark trail west across Oregon. Turned north up past mount Hood thru Seattle and started heading eastwards home thru the inland cascade highway and back up thru BC and the Icefield parkway back to home. The inland cascade highway was beautiful on the bike in the early morning with the mist and slight rain.
Here's a little known factoid about Washington State: of all the 50 states, Washington has the highest percentage of residents who vacation in the state they live in. It's not too hard to understand why!
"Did sunset" haha . We been here since July and just did paradise in the snow. We will be going to these next two locations when the snow melts and then leaving the state headed east I'm going to some of the locations you guys have covered over the years. Cheers to two traveling RV family, we wouldn't be on the road if it wasn't for you guys
South Skookum Lake and Mount Baker where my 2 favorites when we went through Washington a couple decades ago. We spent two weeks snow camping on Mount Baker, it gets a lot of snow, I knew it got a lot of snow but it really got a lot of snow. It was a blast except for the digging out all the time.
Enjoyed seeing the old footage in Washington. We lived in Seattle for eleven years before retiring and moving to Central Oregon. We just finished up hosting at a campground near Yellowstone and are currently working our way through Arizona with our Airstream Classic. Over the past week or so we have been in Eagar, AZ and Show Low, AZ. We are currently camping near Payson, AZ on the Mogollon Rim. Tomorrow we will be heading for Flagstaff, AZ (NAU is my Alma mater) and staying at the Elks Lodge in Sedona. From there, we will head for Phoenix and visit relatives for a few days and then to Anaheim, CA for a couple of days at D-Land (We are still young at heart). Finally, we will head home after having been gone since May 16th. Wow! What a summer! Keep up the great videos guys and maybe we will see you on the road.... 😄
Great itinerary! I live in Gig Harbor and go to these places a lot with my RV, been to every single place you mentioned many times, plus many, many more in the area. I’ve actually camped at almost every Washington State park, just a few left to try, and go to the national parks all the time. One note for those considering Vancouver Island, it’s 500 bucks to take an RV of any significant size over there and get it back, so be aware before you get too excited. And if you think you’re going to be clever and take BC Ferries out of mainland Canada….no better. Though if you’re on an Airstream/F250 budget, this might not be a dealbreaker. Another great option for a side trip if you have the time is to get over to the other side of the Cascades. Seeing how different the east side of Washington is compared to the west side is really interesting.
This video came at the perfect time as we are beginning to plan our next summer visit to Washington State 3 national parks. We’re hoping to spend around 3 weeks, including driving time from Utah. Thank you for the great suggestions.
Great video! I lived in Western Washington for 48 yeats. Here are a few more must sees. Washington Pass lookout in the North Cascades. Snoqualmie Falls(not very RV friendly) and just up the road from there, drive along SE Park ST to possibly see elk in the fields.
As someone who lives within 3 hours of each of these parks and who visits them awesome, thanks for the great wrap up, but next time let's not tell the world about these gems. Let's just keep it a secret between those who love the parks. Just kidding...sort of. The lines to enter Olympic and Rainier is getting long. Thankfully we live close enough we can visit during "off" hours or even in the shoulder season. We can also plan around weather. Just this weekend (early Oct) we spend a weekend in the Olympics. SOOOO beautiful! Love your channel and am always curious where you will take us next.
Great video and I think you did a good job hitting the highlights coming from a very active hiker who’s lived in Seattle 8 years. I noticed some cycling, so I recommend the annual Hurricane Ridge climb where they close the road and you get to climb from Pt Townsend. 4,700’ climb is epic!
In the intro, you mentioned some of the highlights of Seattle to visit. My husband is from Seattle proper (Queen Anne Hill & Magnolia). One non “touristy” place we always love to visit is the city park, Discovery Park, which is still owned by the Army, I believe. It was established during WWII. One time I saw an old red brick smokestack coming out from the ground. It puzzled me. Hubby’s cousin is an engineer who used to work at the park. He said it was part of an old missile bunker. It’s not labeled nor is it accessible. In the conversation I later learned the story of how Boeing built a fake city on top of the plant during WWII to disguise it from enemy planes. One tourist attraction we did recently and loved was the underground tour of Seattle. Seattle is always cool to visit, but the surrounding areas you all hit are always better in my opinion. I’m a lover of the great outdoors kind of gal.
We love your channel. We went out west this summer and stopped at Medora. We watched that video when it came out and my husband and I put it on our to do list. We finally went this summer with our kids (7 & 9) and we loved it! I tell everyone about it!
Hi Trish and Mark. My wife and I are also RV campers, and absolutely love the adventure of traveling and camping. We found your channel a couple of trailers ago and have enjoyed your adventures very much. The content is amazing and the music and editing are top notch. Keep them coming. 😀
I live between the 3 and I'm headed to Olympic next week for my birthday. I just found your channel, subscribed. We say the mountain is out on a nice day where we can see it 😂 It's Pike (no s) Place 💕
I was reminded while watching this video tonight that you guys stayed overnight down the road from my house last year, I think, at Indian Trails Campground in Pardeeville, WI. Did you know you were only about 10 miles from John Muir's childhood home. It's a little county park just north of Indian Trails. The homestead isn't there anymore, but there is a nice little trail around the lake, which was his backyard.(Ennis Lake, Marquette Co. )
Deception Pass is our local, go-to campground, and we also kayak at full ebb or flood tides in the Pass. We thought we'd just missed you, as we are heading up tomorrow for four days. I concur with all your recommendations, speaking as a local!
Great video. We have camped at Newhalem more times than I can count (Deception Pass also😊). However, you might want to check your ferry information. I don’t believe there is a ferry from Port Townsend to Vancouver Island. The Anacortes ferry used to go there but is no longer going all the way to Vancouver Island until sometime in the next 5 or more years. There is a private ferry (the Black Ball) from Port Angeles. Otherwise you have to go to Vancouver and take the BC Ferry over.
Being home-based near Olympia, WA... I'm going to suggest to some rv'ing friends of ours that we visit these spots together, but we'd probably have to divide it into two separate trips.
This makes me want to go back to the Seattle area again! We have been twice but didn't get to visit Mt. Ranier either time. Love your videos, especially the day-to-day ones!
I’ve lived in WA my entire life, you definitely hit the high points! Absolutely stunning wilderness here. With the exception of Seattle…it smells like urine 😅. If it’s a bucket list item, sure, otherwise, would not recommend.
You need to add Steamboat Rock St.Park and The Grand Coulee dam with its light show. Lincoln Rock Dam. Leavenworth is a Bavarian Village worth a visit.
Ballard locks are still in Seattle. Ballard is one of Seattle's neighborhoods. Could of drove by the largest building in the world too. But that's in Everett, not exactly a tourist destination.
Correction ~ wonderful video, but the mentioned side trip to Victoria, BC (with your vehicle) is on the Black Ball ferry out of Port Angeles, WA. Not Port Townsend. It’s complicated, and you can - eventually get to Victoria from Port Townsend, only on foot…. all the more reason to visit often and with plenty of time to Enjoy!
I remember going up mount rainer in our 35 gas motorhome. Wife said it was a short cut from vancouver to vegas lol. Well when i got to the top and had a snowball fight with her in july it wasnt to funny any more lol. I was the only big rv i seen
Had I known you were passing thought Port Townsend I would have bought you a coffee while you waited for the ferry. Moved up here last January and hope to get back to Arizona before the winter. Beautiful but I'll take Havasu in the winter and Prescott spring, summer and fall. Safe travels.
Did you really say Mt Rainer can be done in a day? No it can't unless you just want to drive up one side and take a little peak if the mountain is even out. Crazy! I lived in Seattle and have been there dozens of times since the 70s and have not even scratched the surface! Just to be technical Ballard locks are not outside of Seattle they are outside of downtown but the equivalent of N 45th street and Seattle goes up to N 145th street. FYI for those who may not know taking the side trip to Neah Bay is not part of the National Park, Cape Flattery is on the Makah Indian Reservation, a permit is required for hiking and beach combing is not allowed.
I enjoy your videos very much. But I noticed that some time back on one of your trailers you were using a Hensley Hitch (Orange one) and later on you were using another hitch. What made you quit using the Hensley and when you did use it, how did you like it? FRED

Sunday nights wouldn’t be the same without a little KYD. Our dog enjoys watching them too whenever Charlie and friends make an appearance.
Informative and witty,
the *narrator* of this video is really good.
I'd keep her on the payroll. 💰
I love these type of videos when you compile where you have visited in one state. It really helps with planning our own itineraries
Love this episode. Spent 17 years stationed at NAS Whidbey. When you are around something for so long you take it for granted. You guys made me realize how much beauty there is there. To a have to go back and take it all in. Safe travels and please keep up the great videos.
My daddy was stationed there in the mid 60's... I got my love of camping from that part of my childhood 🥰
We have followed you guys for years. We love how well you have edited the info. It is fun, informative and humorous. I will say...I SURE MISS CALEB. He always cracked me up.
Thanks for highlighting the positives in our state. The hiking here is amazing.
My stomping ground. You did a nice job showing some of the local treasures.

We just spent three weeks on the Olympic Peninsula - fabulous! North Cascades looks amazing too.
Love the mixed in flashbacks of the kids. Trish’s sundress in the last shot is gorgeous. She’s beautiful. Thanks for another wonderful video.
One of my lifelong dreams is to tour through Washington state in our travel trailer. Thank you for providing the blueprint for that dream!
Perfect timing! Just booked campsites for 14 days per park; Mount Rainier, Olympic, and North Cascades. Thank you!
Really missed you guys last week!
I look forward to every one of your videos. Thanks you so much.

This makes me homesick. I grew up on Whidbey Island and your itinerary hit sooo many of the highlights of the area. Beautifully done.

I for one, loved this video with glimpses of your kids from yonder days. I bet while you all were editing it, enjoyed the footage from memory lane.

We lived in Washington state for 23 years. Beautiful state to camp!

Hope you are having a real good french time!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Back to your regularly scheduled program!!!

That was some beautiful scenery and some places that leaves me see how awesome God is.
That shot of Caleb feels like last year. That went fast.
I watched that episode when it originally aired. Weird, lol! 😊
Happy Sunday y'all!!🎉
Happy Sunday funday KYD FAMILY!!!!!!! Love your videos and Trish hope you are thriving in France!! You got this GF!!!
What did we miss ? Are they in France now ?
@@Lisa-qu5rv From watching their instagram I believe Trish is doing a Culinary school there for six weeks.
@@Lisa-qu5rv per the FB posts she’s taking classes. Maybe they are not there now? 🤷🏻♀️

Yer always on our minds - Thanks for all you do and taking us all along. - Cheers!
I love it! You guys taught me some new stuff and I lived in Bremerton for 4 years! Nicely done!
One of our favorite things is watching your videos in our camper! We are enjoying Cumberland Mt. St Pk in Tennessee. Love your channel!

Yes

Correct. Not expected to be back in service before 2030.
We had a reservation on Blackball, but changed our mind we learned it was going to rain all week.
Ten days?! We spent 6 weeks each in WA and OR this summer! Great video, as always.
I waved as you drove by...but Charlie didn't wave back. Heavy Sigh....hahaha...welcome to my hometown (State). Love the video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery!❤
Waiting for a Michigan Euchre Cabin rental… 😉♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸 Prayers for your property in Florida. This next hurricane looks like it may be something!
I love the 10 day itinerary themed video. Hope to see more.
Thank you for sharing this! You’ve added another destination to our list!
Being home-based near Olympia, WA... I'm going to suggest to some rv'ing friends of ours that we visit these spots together, but we'd probably have to divide it into two separate trips.

So great meeting you guys at the distillery.
Missed the video last week
Nice stuff. Loved all the memories
Love the Pacific Northwest!! ❤.
I’ve lived in WA my entire life, you definitely hit the high points! Absolutely stunning wilderness here.
With the exception of Seattle…it smells like urine 😅. If it’s a bucket list item, sure, otherwise, would not recommend.
My cousin has a lot to do with the artwork at the train/rail stations. My goal next summer is to go visit. Thanks for this info.
Your videos are truly amazing. Look forward to seeing them
I absolutely love your travels!! Great commentary, videography, and ypur love for nature!!😊😊❤❤

Happy Cooking in France! Loved this video!❤️
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL !!!! Wassup Charlie. Pets and hugs from the Heaths❤️
Stay safe and thank you for all the great adventures. We will watch the old ones. When are you starting the next season?
I LOVED that music!!!!
I have to agree with you about Mt. Rainier NP. It is my number two favorite. (Yosemite is still my number one.) Great video!
One of our favs, Tetons is my #1.
Nice recap. Especially for us newbies to the channel.
Mark, thanks to you I have now become a “Level Mate Pro”… my obsession with a level coach has become ludicrous. Hahaha… PER Steve

Love you guys...love your videos!! Good Stuff!! Stay safe!!
You missed Steamboat Rock State park in central Wa next to the Grand Coulee Dam. Maybe next time

Nice list! Would check out some of the forts and tv campgrounds around Puget Sound.
Beautiful imagery. And BTW, thanks you for reminding me I forgot about North Cascades when I went to Glacier. Road trip!
I enjoy your videos very much. But I noticed that some time back on one of your trailers you were using a Hensley Hitch (Orange one) and later on you were using another hitch. What made you quit using the Hensley and when you did use it, how did you like it? FRED
Love the PNW - great video. Thanks
