  • Yusuf Choudhury is brimming with energy and fun.
    But he was born with microcephaly, literally a small brain, which has left him with learning difficulties.
    When he was born, doctors gave a grim prognosis telling his parents that he might be so affected he might not even know they were there.
    However with his parents' help, he has defied medical expectations.

    My goodness. He is just as normal as an average child and he speaks very well. This young man is showing the world that not all children born with microcephaly are incapable of living a fairly normal life. Aside from his life sustaining meds, he seems very normal and very active.

    My youngest son was diagnosed with microcephaly when he was a baby. We were told he had a low chance of survival and if he did live he would be seriously disabled. He also was diagnosed with mild CP and moderate Autism. He was critically ill his first four years of life and they said he had an "unknown" syndrome. He attended regular classes and graduated high school with a normal diploma on schedule. He also got a certification in Gaming Programming and is age 20. At around 11 years of age they did a microarray test and found he had Duplication 15q Syndrome. He walks, talks and is very smart. His only issue is working around his Autistic problems but he doesn't let it stand in his way.
    Our boys and others like them, will show the world that having a head smaller than "normal" will not prevent them from being just like everyone else.

      I agree with you Janice. Its even better if both parents are equally involved. But at least one is great. Some parents dont seem to think that is necessary and look what happens, kids grow up to be horrible beings(Not all, cause I didnt get attention as a kid and was mostly on my own)

    Wow. It's fascinating that there are different types of microcephaly in some respect. Some children are in a near vegetable state, but this child is able to communicate well and is very active. I guess it depends how grave the condition is in each child.

    • @judithabregana9931
      @judithabregana9931 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Thats we cant compare each child.. Everychild is unique. And has different in severenity.

    • @Memers4lifee
      @Memers4lifee ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well no each child takes it differently depending on how badly the zeeka virus affected the mother. Also depending on how large the brain is. The microcaphaly is a brain disorder not a medical disorder it directly affects the brain by shrinking it and therefore making other disorders grow and expand within the body, forming a dangerous c9mbination my sister has it and she has autism, epilepsy, adhd, ocd, add, you name it and she has it

    Microcephaly comes in varying levels of severity depending on how much of the brain fails to develop. Most infants born with with microcephaly or anencephaly die within a few hours or minutes after the birth. This boy has a reletively mild form of microcephaly. For a child with microcephaly his head is fairly large. Most other children his ahe with microcephaly cannot move much less speak or learn. This child is very lucky indeed

She is one of the coolest girls I've ever known. She's aware of her condition, but she doesn't let it hinder her. relentless5321 are you going to be ignorant cause I can talk and write?!! 😡😡🇯🇲😡 that's because I'm born with microcephaly does not men I'm stupid or retarded and I don't have a virus I was born this way. There are many dissabled people like are smart in some ways I never use to talk but when I was 8 and up I learned how to even writing and I'm good at writing and making my own jewelry or fashion clothes and drawing and painting and take care of gods animals good and better. I even wrote my own song lyrics and make music beats. People should think about that before pointing and ask questions to see if you are born that way and a lot of people do become ignorant and say I'm not cause I can write good and some people say im a retarded girl or women cause I can't read. I am not alowed to go to collage like I'm 22 years old right now and all I can do is be protected cause I have microcephaly but don't have a stupid Zika virus so all I can do is write and dance and create other things and I have a Etsy shop. Maybe cause my mother believed and never give up teaching me to talk. I could not walk back then eather cause my right foot is bigger than the other cause I was born that way.
      I'm really getting tired of bully's or people asking questions to see if I'm telling the truth but I am speaking the truth. People are just ignorant.😢😢😢😢😡😡😡😡🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

    This kid reminds me of my self, I have the same condition but got never diagnosed in the right way. I'm from Morocco but live in Norway, I was trying for so many years to find out about my deformity condition, my parents wasn't attentive about this and was just ignoring it because maybe they though I was developing well so that's why I never got diagnosed I guess. Fortunately, I had special abilities and was self-taught and learned very quickly in differing things, but the theory part was difficult for me and I struggling very much with concentration and communicating with others and also behavioral problems and hyperactivity. I do not know what causing the type of this rare condition, but I blame vaccination.. thanks God that my brain was developing almost 100% although I have low IQ.. but I'm thankful.

      beilive me or not such energic kids have multitalent in many things, I had multitalent in almost all kind of sports, they was shocked because they saw how I adapt and learned so quickly just from watching anything and learned it in a second. I played professional football "soccer" in 2 division already at 16 year, but at that time I was living in child institution and was in child welfare system and they took me from my mother when I was 10 years old after my parents got divorced and lived there til I was 18.

    Sorry they shouldn’t make this is normal like we all look forward to have a child that’s disabled it’s very difficult and challenging I would have aborted a disabled child

      i think that yousef is a very different case. he can very well live a normal life, and will likely be able to sustain on his own as an adult. for severe cases of microcephaly and other disabilities that completely limit any capabilities of life, i think that termination should become less taboo

    He'd be a genius without this condition, although his cerebral cortex size was diminished due to the condition, he still functions like a normal kid.
