+Widow Honestly, Widow...I think it is BEAUTIFUL and POWERFUL that this five year old girl is comfortable/at peace with the prospect of death!! I'm sorry it doesn't seem like you are able to grasp the helplessness of everyone involved in this girls disease! It's not like if she "chose" to live through another cold and her medical team was able to revive her if necessary, that she would one day be able to receive a transplant or a cure would become available for her disease. She has a genetic defect ("disease") that she was born with that keeps her nerves from working properly. She can't walk, stand, move her arms well without assistance, eat, or even BREATHE unassisted! She will continue to get worse, be able to control LESS of her body, and SUFFER MORE until she DIES ANYWAYS!! Her decision will (sadly) cause less hardship and sorrow on her parents in the long run. She’s not just a princess or Queen. She’s an angel. Julianna Snow passed away in 2016 alongside family members. They say she died peacefully. May she Rest In Peace ❤️
I just found this story about her 10-10-20 on a Saturday and I am so hurt to see her in such pain; she's tougher than about anyone I know or have known and she has such humor and love and immeasurable strength and resilience. Julianna is and will be forever in my heart and thoughts. Forever 💕🌻
Its. Bc she's still little and doesn't know life very much. Plus with her religion it was easy for her to make up her mind and not scream for her life that she does not want to go. Rip
Yeah me too. cause it's kind of unexpected I guess, like guys think they have to hide their emotions so you know their heart is truly broken when they cry.
I just searched for an update and I found this on CNN's website: "In the early morning hours of June 14 (2016) Julianna passed away. "She died at home, in her princess room and in my arms," Moon said. "She died exactly where she wanted to die." "She went after 18 beautiful months [in hospice]. She didn't go after a year of horrible hospitalizations," she added. "I take comfort knowing that it happened in the way she wanted it to happen."
I'm hoping that she's happy in heaven, and also, her family who had only a little time with the Princess. Btw, thank you, Helpful Mike. You're very helpful.
I have been having some real troubles in my life and had a terrible day today. But just seeing the bravery from Juliana and their parents, I realized that I am so much blessed right now. I randomly got this video recommended right now which is 8 years old just when I was feeling so down. But seeing her gave me bravery. I pray for their peace.
Some people get really confused by the like button and think it literally means you like it so they think if they like the video it's literally them saying "I like that this 4 year old girl is dying" and other people are just assholes.
shayla the sheer bravery of the whole family is such a beautiful beautiful thing to have witnessed as sad as her story is, no one, especially a child deserves to die in a morbid cold white room when her inevitable death approached her, when she was able to spend her time at home where she belonged. So many people are commenting as if the parents euthanised her when they simply let her be at home with loved ones. This broke me big time 💔

Some people really didn't bother listening to her points on staying at home.. she would've had a 0.0001% chance of living at the hospital but as she said it was uncomfortable and didn't like it there, she was much happier at home in her room surrounded by family. She passed away in 2016, don't hate them.
My grandpa was in a lot of pain when he had a thing sticked down his throat so he said he would die instead of having the procedure he had lung cancer the thing sticked down to his throat was to help him breathe
That’s true, I truly believe her parents made the most hard and loving decision by respecting her wishes. At least she died at her home surrounded by the ones she loved and the ones who loved her.

I think children are smarter and more aware than people give them credit for. I think the parents did the right thing asking her what she wants and discussing it to make sure she understood.
Well the parents also kind of told a bunch of lies, saying "You're goona go to heaven, and you're goona see us there", etc. When in reality they didn't know for sure.
Yes her parents were so loving I don't think some people realize how hard this was to let their little one make such a choice because being a mother and a grandmother I just can't even imagine how hard this was to let go
There is evidence showing this poor girl crying and screaming in agony because they cant knock her out for her procedures at the hospital. So she has a choice to either go through that horrific agony again and again and again just for a few more weeks to live or she can let go and be safe and warm and happy at home in her room with her toys and family. Which would you choose?
Did you watch it until the end and hear the letters from one of her nurses and one of her Doctors? These are incredibly loving parents who have nothing but their daughter's best interests at heart. Your comments are cruel and undeserved. It is obvious that you are not a parent.
dekatch you are clearly not a parent!!! Do you have any idea what it's like to watch your baby suffer....if she chooses to be at peace then it's a hard decision but they want her to finally have peace
It's human to feel this. I'm glad to see she was ready to go with grace. It's just sad for the parents to see her last moments then seeing a lifeless body. All of that life and living memory, gone.
Thanks for updating us. It’s okay to hurt. Praying for you to feel better. She’s absolutely adorable and I know she’s in heaven waiting for you to join her there:-). God bless you.
It should make you cry because if anyone here had a true relationship with Lord Jesus they would have noticed the God-given signs of abuse and neglect example theatrical crybaby. Glitter has been scientifically proven to be extremely bad for one's respiratory function and system the girl cannot breathe on her own and doctors and nurses and the parents are letting her play with glitter. So if there is a place for children in heaven that is different from grown adults it is not coming from people like you or her parents and doctors. In other words your tears are not filled with beneficial emotions. You don't want the truth you want to be theatrical with your tears.
@@jamesfiaco4922 i'm not sure if this is completely correct, but im pretty sure that she breathes with the support of a ventilator system, which is supposed to cover her inhaling area. seeing that it covers only her nose area, probably so that she can still eat and drink, she would logically only be breathing in through her nose. so the glitter that she was playing with couldn't even get inhaled through her nose, being covered by the ventilator, and it wouldn't be more than an annoyance if it got into her mouth. also, this is definitely not a case of neglect or abuse, because if a person in this condition was treated poorly, they honestly wouldn't have survived this long.
@@960t-wn7lo You almost have a good argument however if you inhale something through your mouth it will still make its way to your lungs. you say no neglect well as a father even I make sure my daughter has constant consistent above average clean air for inhaling in the way of an Austin air purifier, okay her breathing apparatus is not filtering the air. Secondly I have water filtration for cooking and cleaning hydration and bathing. In addition to making sure my daughters hygiene products are made to the highest standards of quality organic all-natural non-genetically modified making it earth friendly, even her bed is organic earth friendly at the same time high sources of nutrition which allows her body to have all the vitamins minerals protein so forth and so on it needs to function at its best. Which includes being able to adjust, adapt, respond and recover to any and all situations internally and externally in the most efficient way that is possible. Those are just a few examples of the steps I take to maximize on my daughter's health and maintain that level of healthiness. So even if the glitter was not a form of neglect every other precaution I have mentioned validates their lack of care look glitter is definitely not healthy therefore you don't need one to touch it because it can leach into the skin pores get absorbed into the bloodstream. I learned this because beauty supplies cosmetics leach into the skin pores get absorbed into the bloodstream overworking the right left kidney stressing out the liver and all the other organs to the point were doctors specialist and leading physicians have determined unanimously concluded that American women are far more likely to develop thyroid problems versus European women okay? And that has zero to do with everybody so-called charming personality and primarily everything to do with the standards of quality America has the lowest so how about that being a form of abuse and neglect lack of care for children being born in America.
The part that makes me want to cry is the lack of care she got in a controlled environment versus the lack of care the common basic average normal child receives because America has more school mass shootings than any other country in the world. Either way your tears are not helping any child prior during or after. Because you have a predetermined systematic response to life-and-death which prevents you from understanding such. In other words her understanding of heaven have been made possible by those who have already lived and died in accordance to make it happen. Your life is lacking such devotion commitment passion play full determination so forth and so on etc. etc. and that stems from you never being properly educated about intimacy simply being only exposed to a generic synthetic desperate aspect of sex making it not possible to be true towards love honor and the creation of life. If you would like to cry about these facts now would be a good time. Because when you live for the moment it is gone im a instant.
@@jamesfiaco4922 late reply (to the one that starts with "You almost have a good argument however..."): for the inhalation of the glitter through the mouth, i don't know - i'm not sure how the device works, but unless you know the exact information about her case and how the ventilator device works (if that's the case please inform me), i don't think you can assume that she can still inhale through her mouth at all, or that the device isn't filtering the air. to add to the argument i made in my previous reply about the glitter, her parents aren't "letting her" play with glitter. they are making it POSSIBLE for her to play with glitter, since she can't move her hands on her own. they hold her hand out to play with the glitter, obviously being careful to keep it away from her face (shown in the video). there are no "accidents" of concern that can lead to her getting it in her mouth, unless if her parents accidentally slapped it in her face, which i don't think is realistic considering most adults are allowed to drive cars. also, i'm making an assumption here, but maybe the parents could have taught her how to breathe through her nose with her mouth open, because that could prevent anything from happening too. for the rest of your argument, the way you treat your daughter is of no concern here, and neither is your argument regarding it. again, unless you know the exact details of her case and her treatment, you can't assume that she wasn't given proper care in those aspects. realistically, she would have, and would probably also take extra medicine for her immune support. (remember, it isn't just her parents involved in her treatment, it's about the doctors and nurses treating her as well.) also, glitter getting into her skin and causing organ shutdown is really not of any concern here either, for 2 reasons. for one, her parents and her had both decided that the next time she would get sick, they would accept it and let her pass, and while they try to prevent it from happening, it seems in the video like the sicknesses still happened. i don't know how long of an exposure it takes to get organ shutdown from playing with glitter (tell me if you actually know), but i think it would take much more time for that to happen than the next sickness, which i think the parents knew, which would be the reason they might not have really protected her from that. besides this, most glitters are approved to be safe, and the only thing i could find related to glitter-organ shutdown was about a non-approved nail polish in the philippines: www.fda.gov.ph/fda-advisory-no-2020-1671-public-health-warning-against-the-purchase-and-use-of-unauthorized-cosmetic-anha-focus-glitter-nail-polish-003/ (tell me if you know more about it). children play with glitter regularly in schools and at home, and as far as i'm concerned, most of them are fine.
Looking at her room and the way her parents treat this little angel, you could tell the immense effort that her parents put into making her life worthwhile and made the best of the little time they had, its always a sad day when a life is lost.
Everyone should stop fighting over this. The parents wanted their daughter to be happy with her decision and thats that. Edit: I wrote this when I was 11 lmao. anyway, I'm 14 now and I still stand by what I said 3 years ago. I am sure i would agree with the ones disagreeing with me if it wasn't the daughter's decision. The daughter herself made the decision and I am sure the parents were devastated and tried to convince her but at the end it's the her choice on what she wants to do. She probably didn't want to suffer and for someone who has been in the hospital for the majority of their life, I'm pretty sure she knows suffering than most of us here. She saw death as a better and more peaceful option and made her choice. What has been done has been done rather than fighting about this we should wish the family the best and hope their daughter is safe and happier.
namas thapa what is wrong with you? Parents are supposed to protect their children and do everything they can to keep them alive and well. This is downright stupidity that they chose to allow a five year old to make that decision. A child is obviously going to choose the short term option. The treatment sucks but in the long term would have been better so obviously she is going to want to stop doing it. A 5 year old doesn’t understand the implications of what that would do. While children as they grow should be allowed to have more freedom allowing a five year old not to mention your own child to essentially kill themselves is child abuse. My apologies for the comments against religion I am atheist myself but respect other people’s right to their own beliefs. However I disagree that you should allow your child to make such a decision because of your faith. Also Ashley if you believed I was ignorant for a 13 year old then you haven’t met many 13 year olds. I was angry I admit and didn’t convey my opinion in the best way but that doesn’t change the fact that instead of disagreeing with me and backing up your claims you just said “oh your ignorant.”
Mark Neill true butt she would have a horrible life suffering and suffering. it would be torture. the poor girl would go through hell. she would cry and wish it would stop.

"dont worry, god will take care of me" has to be the most heart-warming but most heartbreaking thing to hear from your kid, especially a 4 YEAR OLD. She didn't deserve to earn such a little life like that, bless her heart cause it should've longer.❤
I Believe that our god that we believe and our savior will take care of us either way. Once your time comes I would think of it as being at peace no worries, relaxed and free. If we think about it our body is the part that hurts not our soul. We should no she does not hurt anymore and may she rest in peace.
Shantal Blaze I know that this child knows pain and suffering. She can’t eat or run or play with her brother. A cold can kill her for goodness sake. I’m a 44 year old woman with multiple chronic illnesses and I wouldn’t wish my pain on anyone, but this girl has had pain her whole tiny life. She probably has a better grasp of life and death than we do. Her mom laid it out pretty clearly for her. I sobbed for most of this story. I can’t imagine how hard it was to try and make the decisions that her parents have. The doctors and nurses are all supportive of her passing peacefully at home in her pink Princess room. I think that she deserves the dignity to choose to be comfortable at home. Either way it’s heartbreaking.
I'm an atheist and i think i would've had done and said the same to the kid, beliving in a good place after death for a child is way more conforting than what will happen in real life.
@@AtheistMorax You say there is no GOD then why are you alive why are you able to walk or see or move your head there has to be a creator and that is GOD JESUS CHRIST do you no who created your home you live in no you no the person who created your home had to have created it because your living in that home and if they didn't you wouldn't be living in your home that's the same with GOD you can not see him but you no he is there because you are alive you can do the things you do daily so come back to CHRIST for he truly loves you and cares about you and he wan'ts you to be with him in HEAVEN if you accept JESUS CHRIST as your Lord AND SAVIOR

Which would you choose?

@@jamesfiaco4922 late reply (to the one that starts with "You almost have a good argument however..."):
for the inhalation of the glitter through the mouth, i don't know - i'm not sure how the device works, but unless you know the exact information about her case and how the ventilator device works (if that's the case please inform me), i don't think you can assume that she can still inhale through her mouth at all, or that the device isn't filtering the air. to add to the argument i made in my previous reply about the glitter, her parents aren't "letting her" play with glitter. they are making it POSSIBLE for her to play with glitter, since she can't move her hands on her own. they hold her hand out to play with the glitter, obviously being careful to keep it away from her face (shown in the video). there are no "accidents" of concern that can lead to her getting it in her mouth, unless if her parents accidentally slapped it in her face, which i don't think is realistic considering most adults are allowed to drive cars. also, i'm making an assumption here, but maybe the parents could have taught her how to breathe through her nose with her mouth open, because that could prevent anything from happening too.
for the rest of your argument, the way you treat your daughter is of no concern here, and neither is your argument regarding it. again, unless you know the exact details of her case and her treatment, you can't assume that she wasn't given proper care in those aspects. realistically, she would have, and would probably also take extra medicine for her immune support. (remember, it isn't just her parents involved in her treatment, it's about the doctors and nurses treating her as well.) also, glitter getting into her skin and causing organ shutdown is really not of any concern here either, for 2 reasons. for one, her parents and her had both decided that the next time she would get sick, they would accept it and let her pass, and while they try to prevent it from happening, it seems in the video like the sicknesses still happened. i don't know how long of an exposure it takes to get organ shutdown from playing with glitter (tell me if you actually know), but i think it would take much more time for that to happen than the next sickness, which i think the parents knew, which would be the reason they might not have really protected her from that. besides this, most glitters are approved to be safe, and the only thing i could find related to glitter-organ shutdown was about a non-approved nail polish in the philippines: www.fda.gov.ph/fda-advisory-no-2020-1671-public-health-warning-against-the-purchase-and-use-of-unauthorized-cosmetic-anha-focus-glitter-nail-polish-003/ (tell me if you know more about it). children play with glitter regularly in schools and at home, and as far as i'm concerned, most of them are fine.
fly high sweetheart, you will never be forgotten 💕💕
Looking at her room and the way her parents treat this little angel, you could tell the immense effort that her parents put into making her life worthwhile and made the best of the little time they had, its always a sad day when a life is lost.

Well i would agree to
I would agree
namas thapa what is wrong with you?
Mark Neill you are 13 lol you are so ignorant for a 13 yr old

I Believe that our god that we believe and our savior will take care of us either way. Once your time comes I would think of it as being at peace no worries, relaxed and free. If we think about it our body is the part that hurts not our soul. We should no she does not hurt anymore and may she rest in peace.
Yeah and atheists and everyone IF the afterlife doesn't exist, then just allow us to go the extra mile please

It’s normal to die and suffer and if God could cure anyone then we would be further away from going to heaven. If your a atheist that’s fine but accusing that poor little girls God of her suffering is not ok.
It’s so heartbreaking that a girl this young has to make a choice between life, which may not be very joyful, or heaven, meaning she has to choose to die at home
She can’t even imagine how it’s like to endure death and she has to make a unfathomably tough decision
