- Today we're painting Landscapes! We'll try out two different color palettes, warm and cool.
Thanks for joining me this year in this watercolor journaling journey. I hope to paint in my journal most days of the year and invite you to join me. We don't need big resolutions, just gentle intentions to tend to our creative soul a little bit everyday. And learn a little something along the way.

I love how it travels too!❤️
I love them both but if I were to be forced to choose, I'd pick the warmer.....very striking! I really enjoyed this 1 theme, 2 different mood type of painting session. thanks for sharing, Shana.
So glad you enjoyed them. Thanks for watching.
After I worked the lavender I had fun doing these ❤lots of interesting colors. 😊
Love them both 🎉🎉🎉
Beautiful, both of them.
I love this!! Can't wait to try!!
Amazing pictures. They seem to want to tell a story. I can totally see those trees in a landscape coloured like that. I magine a hot summer in a valley in the Alps. A dry spell is just ending with the humidity so high that you think you have to chew the air, which is smelling of the thunderstorm to come. At the same time the sun is setting, painting the sky in the moste picturesque and cheesy colours available. You have taken shelter and watch the rain come closer. You see the steam rising, obscuring the view and enhancing the magic of the sunset. Next morning it is still raining. You look outside and the grass is juicy green while the clouds hang low in the mountains and the lawn has puddles where it had dust the day before. The air is fresh and cold and smells clean and wholesome.
Um... Yeah that had to get out 😅 pictures from left to right of course 😁
I love those stories. 😊 thank you for sharing.
That's a tough call! I'm loving the mood and feel of each one!
Thank you.
Both are beautiful!
Lovely! You're so right about contrast!
Contrast is everything! 😁
Fabulous. I’m drawn to warm colours but love the misty cool dreary one.
Thank you. I really live the warm colors too even though I’m usually drawn to the cool colors.
Lovely
Theyre both so beautiful!
Thank you.
They are both awesome 😎
Thank you.
My plan for today is to do these.

Why is it so difficult for me to paint loosely?
Everyone has a default style. Some folks struggle with loose and some folks struggle with structure. Try not to over think it and walk away several times while painting. Keep practicing and you will get it. 😁
