Aww really! It’s a beautiful beach isn’t it, especially in summer I’d love to go there again soon 😍 and I’m glad you enjoyed the packing of the art kit! I always enjoy that part way too much I had to include it 😂
No need to snap those Neocolors! The water soluble Swisscolor crayons are from the same manufacturer and perform identically to Neocolors. They're shorter than Neocolors, so they're essentially pre-snapped for you. The color range is somewhat smaller, but I they'd be right up your alley. If you'd like to see them compared to Neocolor II, check out Frugal Crafter's video from earlier this week.
Awesome thanks for the recommendation! I also love the frugal crafters videos so I’ll take a look! But I do have this Neocolor collection that will probably last me a lifetime, I’m not sure if I need more water soluble crayons…. Or maybe I do 🙈😆
This is so exciting! I am planning to do this next weekend by the river! I order myself a little kit and hopefully it’ll arrive in time 😅 your work is so wonderful 🫶🏻
I am taking snapped neocolors out with me today. It doesn't hurt them a bit and the color is just as vibrant. You have inspired me! Thank you for sharing your process. Best wishes from South Carolina!
Next time I go out I am definitely snapping a few colours! I like that you have lots of different edges to work with when you snap them too! I hope you had a lovely out creating yesterday! Thank you so much for watching my video ☺️ - Amber xx
Oh can you imagine how cute that would be 🥹 showing all his little seagull friends!! Next time I go there will be seagull graffiti all over the walls 😂
It really was a revitalising day and I can’t wait to go and do it again! 😍 I won’t have to push myself so hard to leave home next time as I actually did really enjoy it 😆x
A lovely sketch. Great colours, and I dont think perspective makes any difference in most cases. The eye sorts it out for itself, somehow. I'm off to do do some plein air with a group of sketchers in a town, Alnwick, close to home. I've sketched on my local beach and enjoyed the various people coming up to me, even small kids. Every one of them was very kind and complimentary, the kids asked question. I love it. I hope youll do it again. Thanks for sharing your process.
Thank you! ☺️ Going out to sketch in a group sounds great! I haven’t looked into any groups near me really. I love painting on the beach but I did enjoy that it was quiet that day and there wasn’t anyone to really come up and see what I was doing. I always thought that would make me feel uncomfortable but I guess I won’t know until it happens! 😁
I clicked on your video because I'm always curious what people put in their travel art kits. I also bought one of those wonderful Lihit lab cases. Mine is a beautiful olivey green and much thinner than yours, cause I wanted to be able to keep it in my purse all the time. I just love it. I found a great YT video from a while back where some smart person used an empty clamshell that a set of a dozen Tim Holtz gears came in to construct a watercolor palette. It is the neatest thing. The little indentions hold a surprising amount of artist's grade tube paints, and because it is only about 1/4' thick and weighs pretty much nothing, I can get an amazing amount of other supplies in my little case. I really enjoyed getting a glimpse of Margate Beach. I grew up very close to the Gulf of Mexico, and spent a lot of time at the beach growing up. It's been quite a while since I've been to the shore, and I especially liked your little gull friend! I was #986 subscriber. Congrats, you should be at 1000 subscribers any day!
Oh I would love to see your travel art kit up close!! 😍 the little Tim Holtz clam shell sounds so cool! I would like to put some more time into my travel art case. I also would like to go out painting more often! I have only been out one other time since this 🙈 But planning a beach trip again soon! Thank you so much for your lovely comment and also for subscribing! Especially before 1000 😍 I really appreciate it! X
What a fun video! I just found your channel and and subscribed. I agree about perspective... learn the rules... then break them if it makes you joyful while you paint! I'm in a experimental phase lately, deliberately breaking most of the rules I learned about painting, and it's been liberating, joyful, and best of all not stressful! I love the wonky work I do now!
Thank you so much for joining me! 🥰 glad to hear you are going through your experimental phase too. I have been trying to ‘un learn’ all the rules I learned about art from my coloured pencil realism days for a while now and still on that journey struggling to let go of details 😂 But the unpredictability and excitement of my work now makes me happy every single day! Unless everything goes wrong, then of course I want to smash it all up 🙈🤣
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰 I think I’m going to get on everybody’s nerves with the way I’m talking about these sketchbooks. But they are just the best 😆 x
Of course Im watching 😄 snap those precious neocolors and continue this exciting exploration. Some buildings next time maybe?...perspective, pershmective! Loved the video, the green lights and bad camera angles.. Keep it up Ammy, you're sooooo inspiring!
Always appreciate it Helen 😘 Thank you for watching! I love my water brush and I think I will snap the Neocolors… or at least a few of them 🙈 still scary!! I’d like to tackle some buildings and make them all wonky and stuff. Watch this space 😉
LOVED that u include the packing of your art kit that’s also my favorite spot when going out to paint plein air ❤

Hi Amber, I really hope you continue this series. Plein air on the beach has to probably be, one of the most relaxing things to do. 🏖
It really was a revitalising day and I can’t wait to go and do it again! 😍 I won’t have to push myself so hard to leave home next time as I actually did really enjoy it 😆x

Good for you…I haven’t done it yet. I hide indoors 😂
So do I usually 😅 Indoors is my safe zone!
That came out great! Beautiful beach too, and how cool that the sea gull was watching you!
Thank you so much! I know wasn’t it cute, I’m sure the sea gull was just waiting for any snacks I might drop but still cute! 😄🩵

I did exactly the same. My first plein air painting at the beach last week.
Did you have a lovely time?! 😍
@@Little_Ammy_Arts I did but the place was surprisingly deserted for May.
Of course Im watching 😄 snap those precious neocolors and continue this exciting exploration. Some buildings next time maybe?...perspective, pershmective!
