- Thanks for joining me this year in this watercolor journaling journey. I hope to paint in my journal most days of the year and invite you to join me. We don't need big resolutions, just gentle intentions to tend to our creative soul a little bit everyday. And learn a little something along the way.

Ik ga dat zeker proberen met veel plezier. Top idee. De manier waarop je met het werkje omgaat nl het is een schets en geen foto. Schilderen is een totaal ander medium dan fotografie en dat zeg je op een manier die zo vanzelfsprekend is wat ook is. Mensen in mijn vrienden kring hébben slechts bewonderering voor schilderijen die evengoed foto's zouden kunnen zijn. Ik ben het er totaal mee oneens. Schilderen is de kunst om met verf en penselen een fantastische wereld te scheppen zonder de blabla van de zgn kenners die niet veel over de ziel van de kunst weten.
Ik hou van u lessen omdat ze juist die positieve mentaliteit belichamen. Jij bent éé n met je verf, water en papier. En soms zeg je "be brave", dat laat me glimlachen en denken :
Dat zal ik zeker zijn want ik wil iets leren.
Als je er zin in hebt, zou ik graag nog eens een cityscape van je leren en of werkje met boeken en een uil bv. Ik hou van beide zeer veel.
Een huis zonder boeken zou voor mij niet mijn thuis zijn.

Haha. Sorry I was missing. Unfortunately no big fabulous vacation. Just a very busy few weeks at the end of the school year for my kiddos.
This is a great tutorial thanks Shana . . . . especially as I'm a Brit (although from down south and not near Manchester). Can I please ask what would be a good substitute for Dioralyte Yellow? I've tried to Google but it's not giving me much help! I use mostly W&N and Kuretake . . . . thanks!
Hi there. Thanks for watching from across the pond. The best substitute from Windsor and newton would be New Gamboge which is also a warm yellow.

I can't quite understand the name of the yellow you use. I was searching for it online to compare to the other yellows. Can you help????
Diarylide yellow is the color from QOR. New Gamboge or Gamboge yellow are good substitutes in Other brands. You want a warm yellow.
