I love that you released this video as I was thinking of changing my Raffine midrange deck into a Malcolm/Tymna deck. And now I have a good decklist to compare against what I’ve thought of for a deck! Good job on the tournament as well and keep the great videos coming!
RogSai pilot here from that match. My deck gave me nothing but mana gas the rest of the game. Sad times. feel like i should of just waited for the next players turn to shoot the adnaus - mindbreak has been a new nightmare. GG!

I'm glad I managed to get into the top 16 of this tournament with that agreed upon draw, but I wish I could have gotten a chance to play my Etali deck against you!
Still waiting for for eminence to fix rules and points for draws. Glad you got in but sad to hear people drawing more than playing. People riding that 11 points to get in

On the blue farm in top 16’s turn 1 gamble: if you have something like a lotus petal in your hand and you need it to cast your gamble target, play the petal out before you cast gamble. The odds of gamble going badly are always higher if there are two cards you don’t want to discard rather than just one

Thanks for the vid. Inspired me to switch my lotho Abel shell to Malcolm tymna. Offered a lot more consistency with tymnas draw in the command zone. Ended up finishing top seed at my lgs 36 person tourney today.

No doomsday? I run doomsday in this deck and have had a lot of success w it! What’s your opinion on that card in tymna Malcolm?
Any reason for Talion? Is it to cover multiple cmcs after you flicker? Or are you covering a specific cmc with getting the one activation?

What do you think about Charismatic conqueror? I really like it in my list as it makes a ton of life-linking bodies for Tymna or is a decent Stax piece for your opponents. Plus Delney doubles the triggers so your opponents can’t stop you from getting at least 1 vampire. Have you also tried Bolas’s citadel? I was running Ad Naus with a similar build for a while but because I wasn’t Nausing for a lot I found I just got better value from Citadel and really like it so far
Did you consider any higher cmc bombs like hullbreaker, consecrated sphinx, or like a sheorold?
How good was the 1 drops? I was playtesting the deck and kind of hemmed and hawed. I actually played Recruiter of the Guard to find Delney more often in my build as well. Looks like a sick list.
Hi Ian, as bye's were mentioned in this i was wondering if you have any thoughts about different systems there? (Maybe a topic for a podcast episode?)
My LGS has recently started hosting weekly cEDH tournaments which is absolutely awesome but the logistics of it all are not super fleshed out yet but currently a bye is worth as much as a draw (1 point) and depending on player number the bye sometimes goes to the first rather than the last player because we ususally don't get more than 6-10 people and the idea is to minimize the times where 1 person runs off and instead increase the chance that there can be an interesting cut to top4 where everbody still has a shot at the bigger prizes.
Would be interesting to hear your thoughts

Only changes i made to your list is cutting kambal and blood chief for delay and mana drain. Wanted more Omni negates especially with everyone trying to win with grand abolisher or creature stuff

The philosophy of your TM list is really similar to mine. I hadn't thought about using Kambal and Bloodchief Ascension. How good do you think they are in the list? Kambal triggering twice off Delney is pretty hot.

Question for you, is it worth playing midrange without blue white? I was thinking of a temur midrange deck but I feel like white is severely missing when it comes to mulligans. (Esper and trouble in pairs)
It is a viable way to approach midrange there are just certain tools that you will rely upon instead that may attack on a different axis, usually heavier into creatures

I dont know where to contact you but have you talked about the spoiler of tiny bones enchantment? I think it just makes sisay better cause noy you dont need to have aminatou, bolas, and teferis enchantment, it opens up two spaces on the list, can you give your thoughts on that
Also you can draw it, not like the game you draw bolas and had a lot of trouble around it

Do you think it is a good play to turn 1 seat 1 go for the ad naus and roll the dice or better to wait and hold out for clearer opportunities?

A bye in a cedh tournament vs a regular magic tournament has to be 4x as better, which shouldn't b acceptable right? If u need x wins to top cut and your chances of winning are cut in half basically because of multiple people then the bye is really powerful.

Congratulations! Knocking it out of the park with these non-meta decks!. I'm going to my first tournament with atraxa at the end of the month. Working on putting in more interaction and layering my win cons so I can pivot more.
What about playing doomsday? It's one more 1card wincon.. also i tried a package with counterbalance, top and citadel, and i know you love the balance top sinergy hahah what do you think about that?

Yo ! I've been brewing since delney got leaked ive been having success with grim hireling anf time sieve. Grim hirelings activated ability let's you put a minus 1 on himself making delney see his trigger!

Breena is also good because you can make pirates other than malcolm bigger and it will still double trigger Breena and malcolm.
