After Chain of Vapor resolved there were still two different lines that could have won: bounce E.Witt for Great Oak Guardian, or Crop Rotation for Cradle and then bounce Woodland Bellower for Destiny Spinner.
I totally love the opportunity to put a face on some players that usually feature on the channel (Zeb). As an additional note i would love to see Ashani on a future video!
spicy line that Cal missed in response to Bane of Progress, engineer the cloudstone away to get back cursed mirror as a copy of most likely Atraxa. Draws him a bunch of cards and then leaves him with an artifact to use for engineer again on his turn for curio since the mirror would be a creature when the Bane of Progress went off.
This was such a fun pod. I love games where you can really tell how much fun the game is, it's a great encouragement to people who might be hesitant to get into cEDH because it seems so serious.
I like these kinda games the best, where we see everyone and get to hear, it's perfect to learn easier and if you have a slight mistake help each other 💙👍🏻
It probably didnt matter much, but the orcish bowmasters never dealt damsge to safekeeper, so cal never should have amassed orcs 1. Love your content, and the energy in this episode is dope :D
Three of my favorite decks, ones that I personally own and play all in one game! Selvala, Inalla, and Atraxa. Interesting lines people took… but Magic is hard and lines won’t always be perfect, GG regardless.
I like that too. But instead of.casting Crip Rotwtion at all, there was a win with Eternal Witness getting Great Oak Guardian (GoG ETB untaps all of your creatures without targeting them, so Selvala's shroud wouldn't be an issue.)
Wait I’m confused A) i thought nature’s claim was only allowed on artifacts and enchantments? B) if they’re playing commander, i thought you were only allowed one copy of each card that’s not a non-basic land, so what’s with all the sol rings?
27:11 you have 12 mana available and no one has any more interaction. You can win from here without ever giving Archivist another trigger: activate Temur Sabertooth, returning Eternal Witness to hand (BTW, Sabertooth's ability doesn't target. I only mention because you said you were activating it "targeting Hyrax Tower Scout" at 26:27) Eternal Witness, returning Great Oak Guardian to hand Great Oak Guardian, untapping all of your creatures now you have unlimited mana and creature power bounce Ewitt to get Finale GG!
You can also Crop Rotation for Gaea's Cradle bounce and recast Bellower, finding Destiny Spinner activate Destiny Spinner, animating Cradle Saberooth/Hyrax/Cradle = GG
Why do I feel like this was recorded a long time ago? Also, don’t you think it’s a conflict of interest when you’re sponsored by TCGPlayer this episode but you’re usually sponsored by Card Conduit?
That 2 mana for both the creature cost and the ability can be spent elsewhere or held for other interaction, but I think more importantly, it doesn't advance your gameplan to win. Sure removing 1 combo piece *might* shut down 1 player, but there's still 2 other opponents to deal with, and this also assumes that there isn't another line in the deck for that player you hit with Rootwater Thief. It'd be another story if Rootwater Thief actually let you USE the card you removed. It's the difference between "a card that helps you win" and "a card that helps you not to lose," and Rootwater Thief, Extract, Bitter Ordeal or similar effects are the latter. They can help you not lose a game, but they won't necessarily help you win one.

I really wonder how one can look at this incredible game, with win attempts and interaction and grind and twists and turns all over the place, and then get annoyed with the literal last 2 cards cast in the game. It's not about which cards seal the deal. It's about how they got there.
@@fnx.M The excitement is death with those two cards. The game should had at least should last 3 to 5 rounds more. The interaction is wonderful in the format but the combo kills the late game and how you can really enjoy more of the game.
Holy crap Atraxa Table Police 2024
Dang, I forgot we recorded this one. One last good hurrah for me on Playing with Power :)
Where did you go? :0
dont be a stranger now always good to see ya on here
@@davidew345 I retired from the team! Was time to do other things, as fun as PWP was for the last few years :)
20 hours ago. This is a rerelease for the public?
@@TheSpiritombsableye I commented before the video premiered, which anybody can do but people usually don't haha
This is a small thing, but I really appreciate that when they put the card on screen they really try to match the art to the card actually played.
I love that this is like Command Zone but for CEDH and a little less game-showey
Holy cow that Selvala turn! Idk how the game didn't end that turn. ❤

That was a really great game I loved all the interaction, almost everyone had a chance to take it multiple times!
Legend says Ryan did actually have 7 pieces of interaction
I like these kinda games the best, where we see everyone and get to hear, it's perfect to learn easier and if you have a slight mistake help each other 💙👍🏻
Ryan's interaction are hysterical I was laughing my ass off on that Boseiju

That game was hilarious. Thank you for always putting out quality content, and best wishes to cal.

This is such a fun episode. I'd love to see more like this!
this type of video is amazing yall are hilarious
Thanks for watching!
shows how many different kinds of people play MTG love it
Ho2 am i just finding out about this Masterpieces series? I love seeing thePwP team getting to play face 2 face. We will miss ya Cal!
I was really hoping he woodland bellower into a dosan for the win lol
This was a blast to watch 🥳
That was super fun to watch and was a very interactive game that had so many really cool points
That Boseiju....
Literally the best announcer voice ever!.
I have never seen someone have this amount of interaction in my life
32:12 Triple sol ring lmao
Get Play To Win on! Glad to see the channel is back. More Lotho!
Amazing game! Well played, you guys!
Exciting game! Fun to watch.
Great game! Loved this episode
I loved this episode 😍
Where do you get those sweet treasures from?
I don't know how the internet feels, but I far prefer this live play format over the edited play by play commentary.
This was a lot greater effort and cost, and the return wasn’t worth it. We did away with the series.
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG Ah. That's too bad. I guess you'd have to have multiple cameras and mics, therefore more editing time.
Awesome game. Can I ask what the story is about that Zur that's in two pieces?
Previous episode where Alana tore it in two.
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG I must have missed that episode, time to go watch it
I think I like E Zone off the croprot over cavern and a combat. Dope game!!!!

Absolutely wild
good stuff ryan

But that's all easy to say in hindsight. To be fair you attempted several win lines and got shut down again and again. Well played to the end!
Love how ryan handle all deck
❤❤❤ Oh yeah!
That’s the best Atraxa deck I’ve ever seen
Ryan the Goat
I’m so so confused on where the sol rings and chrome mox came from
Mnemonic betrayal. Zack destroyed all artifacts and enchantments the turn prior.
What kind of coin was that for the crypt flips?
It's our coin!

Suuuuuuch a good game. ❤
Hey it’s cal!
Ryan, King of not letting people play magic haha
Inalla let’s go!!
i play almost the same selvala deck but i run dosan the falling leaf..very strong card in cedh
8:21 should have tapped Ashaya for G first.
Why do I feel like this was recorded a long time ago?
Also, don’t you think it’s a conflict of interest when you’re sponsored by TCGPlayer this episode but you’re usually sponsored by Card Conduit?
Not even a little bit. You're allowed to be sponsored by two separate companies. And neither is a direct competitor of the other.
I was wondering why people don't play rootwater thief?. I run it my tribal deck, and he always delivers.
Because it costs a shit tonne of mana

Man I miss Folger
Discard another snow covered mountain
The audio is awful, whatever is bangung into the mic should be stopped.
Counter culling the weak? But is a mana source, it plays as an interrupt and spellseeker is a cost of the card. It couldn't counter it.

The laughing is EXTREMELY loud like destroying mic quality completely. Great vid besides that
