I know it’s some armchair quarterback But 5:57 when Tyler attacked cam with manglehorn and kinnan Dylan could have activated forbidden orchard to give cam an extra spirit to kill kinnan I don’t know the contents of Dylan’s hand but it’s an interesting line
Love the misstep on the sol ring, ive done that sooooooo much, and almost unanimously ive had at least one person mention how that isn't optimal, BUUUTTTT denying 2 mana in perpetuity? They're wrong, well played sirs
It depends on the other players and what deck they are playing, if you are against 2 turbo Naus decks misstep on a none turbo sol ring is probably wrong
Oh that's great! Some of my favourite decks. Never liked the jam of Kess, but I have been playing Armix/Kraum for a long time and recently, I've been dabbling with Tivit. I've been playing grixis almost exlusively for 10+ years now. Thanks for the episode!
the thing with Tivit is that it's a Timmi commander in disguise because it's a big mana creature that is very splashy, but it does things that can end the game very quickly
You guys are great and I wait all week to watch your post before I go to work every Sunday morning. Please continue to provide us with unrivaled CEDH content.
Been playing MTG for few years, haven't got friends to get together to play MTG only when I go to my community game shop, I like to try the commander Kinnan, great game hope to learn from watching you guys.
Not watched yet but glad to see another kess game on the channel, thinking of taking kess to an event in october as it'll be a bit less threatening than t&k Edit: i don't play jeweled lotus in kess, is it worth it? I've got one but never felt it was good enough in kess
“Gay to win” that’s amazing 😬 ima have to get one lol Edit: how do y’all always have like 4 counters in hand? I can barely find 2 throughout the game -.-
I’m not reading all the comments but there’s a misplay on the wishclaw activation at instant speed. It’s only allowed to be activated at sorcery speed. I can’t be the only one who caught that. Love the videos though fellas!
Say what you want about Tivit, he still needs to have the mana to resolve onto the battlefield, and then gets the ETB trigger, but then has to deal combat damage. So as long as he can't hit face he doesn't work. Kinnon meanwhile it's good that when Seedborne Muse resolved SOMEONE did something (gilded drake though?) and literally can go infinite in multiple ways real easy. And at two mana with access to green kinnon is difficult to keep off the field. Tivit needs a bunch of things to go right.
That campaign is there for 12 days and then that batch will ship. After that a new campaign will start and ship roughly 2 weeks after that. That will continue until the end of June
Im telling yah man, if dylan is playing kess for the 1-card consult wincon, he should run krark-si. I used to play kess for the same reason and have found much more success with krark-si.
I used to think the same thing, but I was corrected recently on this! If you cast it using flashback, it goes onto the stack, but the copy effect is a part of the RESOLUTION of the card. So, if the original copy is countered, the spell doesn’t resolve and the copy effect doesn’t occur. Google “Sevinne's Reclamation ask a judge” for a more specific breakdown that explains it much better than I probably did.
Draw pass with no land drop, the rng gods not kind that first game cam, I believe in the you that will win a game one day! Lololol jk jk you're a beast of a player
Seemed like a lot of triggers were missed, but since it's a may i assumed that once the cmc was known he skipped the triggers to save time? I could be wrong though i stopped paying attn after that assumption
4:56 everyone kind of fucks up. Ian flashbacks Sevinne. When he does so Devine's copies itself. So there should be two Sevinnes on the stack. Then Dylan Spell Pierces said Sevinnes, when there should also be another copy. Semantics, but it matters in breach deck when you Double target UBreach with Sevinnes Flashback

Sorry I might be dumb but when you flashback sevinne's rec ( 4:52) you also make a copy of the spell (its a may ability but thats the second time I see it being forgotten on this channel) , so you have to choose two targets, and then you can pass priority, so the spellpiece should have countered one of the rec right ?

@@gabettimothee I think the thing that is confusing you is that it's copying a spell so it seems very similar to something like Storm, which reads "When you cast". Imagine Sevinne's Reclamation read "Return target permanent card with mana value 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. If your opponent controls a creature, you may draw a card". If your opponent controls a creature and counters the spell, you wouldn't expect to draw a card, but this hypothetical card is structured exactly the same as the real Sevinne's Reclamation. The main difference is that Sevinne's Reclamation is looking at a past event instead of a current event, but this isn't relevant, it's the structure that is relevant. For it to work the way you expect, it would need to be worded like this (or something similar, there are a few ways but they all start with "When you cast", I just chose the wording that matches the original text as close as possible): When you cast this spell, if it was cast from your graveyard, you may copy it and may choose new targets for the copy. Return target permanent card with mana value 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. Flashback {4}{W}
Here's my honorable mention that Wishclaw Talisman can only be activated as a sorcery, so Dylan could not have tutored for that fierce guardianship (12:20)
Most of the decks in the game are midrange decks so it makes sense that not much action was there for the first 4 turns. But interaction wise, this was a cEDH game. Just because nothing happens in the first 4 turns doesn’t mean it’s not cEDH.
Quickly realizing that my locals are way too forgiving with mana rocks and I get away with Tivit way too easily.

@@PlaytoWinMTG killing kinnan without going down a card seems like pretty good interaction too ;)

you know, i also try to say "hey let me cast tivit and ill have enough mana to help stop someone"
never works lol. worth a shot.
Fantastic game. Really shut down Tivet fast! I'm always glad to see Kess!
You guys are great and I wait all week to watch your post before I go to work every Sunday morning. Please continue to provide us with unrivaled CEDH content.
Glad to see Cam wasn't shut out for yhe whole game. That Misstep definitely hurt.
Recently getting into cedh .. been binge watching all your content .. kess is my favorite deck ! Keep up the awesome work.

Great Kess game, one of the sweetest Wishclaw Talisman activations!
epic ending. its always fun to see counter wars
Okay, I had not seen the Tshirt and Gay to Win has to be one of the best logos I have seen. Definitely gonna try to snag one
Proudly just bought a Gay to Win 🎉🎉
"What's a good one to name?"
- Black Lotus?
- Coalition Victory?
- Shahrazad?
- Or the fan favorite: Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru! XD

People should give Tyler a nickname with mentalmistep. Every video I watch of him we always has it lol
Tales end and stifle are my favorite fish stoppers after the counter battle.
Okay so let me get this right, Dylan is playing Kess, AND got the win. It's like Xmas
This is Tivit bullying! All Hail the Sphinx Daddy!
We need more Ian on your show.
I’m not reading all the comments but there’s a misplay on the wishclaw activation at instant speed. It’s only allowed to be activated at sorcery speed. I can’t be the only one who caught that. Love the videos though fellas!
That is incorrect, the only restriction is that you can only activate it on your turn, but you can do so at instant speed
Wow reading the card explains the card. I really thought it had the parentheses that said activate only as a sorcery. Thanks for that!
Why is that the perfect shirt 😂❤ I'm laughing at how this was the first video I seen today not expecting it nor complaining

LOVE the merch! Really love how Play to Win and Playing with Power has pronouns shown! It is really nice to see
Love this game, super great. Thank you fellas
I like seeing more of this bro bound over magic more often
Lol now I will have to buy a shirt and ask Tyler out.
Hell yeah it’s Sunday night. Play to Win time!
That callback making sure that it's legal this time! XD
I would totally buy a playmat with that Gay to win logo on it!
That though scour should have targeted Tayler's deck because of Dauthi Voidwalker. Imagine hitting an big thread from Kinnan.
Where do y'all get your custom tokens? I've had my eyes on them since the first time I watched play to win... that Kinnan is stunning
YEEEEAAHHH GAY TO WIN GOES SO HARD
If you need ideas for cards to name for Demonic Consultation, there's always "You Are Already Dead."
"teach by example" is cool to be condescending too =)
I don’t play cEDH but “Gay to Win” is just too funny to pass up.
Also, Wishclaw Talisman is somehow not even the most busted card in its original set.
love the merch!
Im dead that intro got me good.
Great fish combo win
I swear I heard some wizard101 music in this video
One of the best games. It’s like a Mexican standoff? What a game guys . Tivit is a messed up card
I love a counter spell battle!!
B E G I N with bonus vibration and green
Woo, love the pride plug and looks like a very fun game
wow what a brutal smash
Great game! Fun watch
Holy shit, Tyler got a few tries with that Seedborn and whiffed!? So it *does* have a fail rate :D
The Bonfire store says it's there for 12 more days, was the "through the end of June" in the video wrong?

damn Aremix/Kraum getting stomped on both times it appears on the show. not how it usually goes in my games.

Tivit giving 2 treasures and 3 clues is really that good in cedh?
That and the fact that it is almost a one card combo with time sieve
Wish claw is only sorcery
Mystic remora is outrageous with 4 players lol
literally card of the game....it drew probably 8+ cards.
