I joined horde randomly when i was newer before I really knew anything and im so happy i did. Everyone was so helpful when i was new, so much that it made me wanna be like that so now I'm a caretaker and help newer players as well.
As a fellow Solo/small-gang PVP enjoyer and content creator, I found the video to be greatly amusing and it perfectly encapsulates the state of null blocs in 2024. In terms of PVP, Brave, Horde, and others offered great PVP content several years ago. Now, however, as you have seen for yourself, they only care about “zkill green” which is why they absolutely stomp anyone who ventures into their space, especially with Marauders. Null blocs utilize “strength in numbers” i.e. bringing a massive blob of F1 monkeys. I didn’t want to be “just another number” and instead I prefer to fly solo/small-gang, retaining that sense of individuality, actually having fun piloting your ship (i.e. not just F1). I am new to your channel but see that you have done a solid amount of Solo PVP as well, so I’m sure you can understand the gist of what I’m saying. On the other hand, you might not be familiar with the idea of small-gang playstyle. Small-gang can be defined to be flying with
Pandemic Horde is offering all possible oppertunities to his members a Nullsec Alliance can offer. There are all kinds of PvP not only blob fights, like some people claim. There are several FC's running roaming gangs and other stuff. But you don't have to do PvP all the time. You are not forced to do anything by the Alliance. You can do your own stuff if you want. There is a bunch of PVE possibilities starting from guided newbie mining events. Experienced players can easily make several hundred million isk an hour in different ways, supported and secured by your alliance mates. Yes, there are rules. But you need rules if thousand of players interact with each other, sharing the same space and resources. Pandemic Horde is extremly Newbie friendly, makes it easy for his members to explore their opertunities in Eve step by step, helps them to grow and getting rich. Without bullying other Eve players by braindead asshole moves like other Nullsec Alliances.
Dear Ami, here is a comment from another fellow German eve player: I play EVE since 4 years and am a member of PH since 2. I can see some of your critic points but I also see your video critically. I'm having a pretty good time there and Horde has lots of sigs, groups and other content if you apply for it. Being a newbean and only having a few systems to rat in, is a thing I criticize myself. Yet getting into a gated corp is no struggle at all. I've got accepted into a German corp a few days after being in PH which immediately opens all doors, no more requirements but a background check. And as said: other alliances are much more strict with their applications. So, as soon as I got to know my stuff, I joined lots of PVE and PVP sigs, had lots of fun and most FC's explain the current mission... If not, just ask. And being in a massive alliances also doesn't mean that you can't solo or small gang anymore... just leave your sheltered home and visit some low sec or enemy territory. Horde doesn't even forbid you to fly with independent groups or NPSI groups, as long as you don't shoot allies...obviously. I fly with all of these guys you just chatted with and they are nice people who explain everything. But us germans we are a bit stiff und weird and I can imagine that you appeared like a sniffer dog. But yes, that "don't feed goon propaganda stuff" is weird. I've been following eve politics on reddit recently and its totally weird, from both sides. You know, I don't want to contradict you in every point, it's just that I think your picture of PH is very incomplete.
Thank you for that. I did highlight many advantages of being in Horde and at the end in the video, I do recommend joining Horde if you're up for PvP. It's not all negative, and it's always just my "little" perspective on things - which could be wrong. whos perfect`?
Thank you for your points. Love your videos and the honest feedback you give. I joined a nullsec alliance only 3 months after starting Eve. Was a very hard learning curve as we were in FIRE coalition and I lost all my assets in that war. Our corp then joined Goons. I really enjoy Goons and just wish our enemies woukd fight more often. Recently we've had a lot of fleets where we go out and then put enemies don't fight. Got on the X47 KM last year that was lots of fun
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb they’re probably talking about goon home defense fleets against horde roams, where the same thing you noticed from horde home defense fleets applies. Certainly last time I went on a 40 retri roam to goon space as a horde member and we refused to fight their 120 man harpy fleet, people were pretty pissed 😅. Really it’s a tough balance to strike, it would be great to have fleets of comparable numbers so the bigger fleet fights happen more often, but the defending side also has the need to protect their space so they often overform quite a bit. Occasionally an fc will come and sit still shooting an ansi to “ring the dinner bell” which can sometimes get a reasonable form (since they’re not threatening the home turf, just waiting for a reasonable fight), but even that doesn’t always work and they just get outformed anyway. It’s tough to get good fights in eve when 90% of battles are decided by numbers/ship comp before the shooting even starts.
My corp joined Goons, and it was a fantastic experience. You should do one on your experience there. Goons have changed a TON since my first impression of them 15 years ago!
Since you're in the MJ Beanstar area anyway, ask about the Northern Coalition. I got recruited by a corp in that alliance straight from HighSec. Yeah there's a background check on your account, but it's pretty smooth.
There were many FCs for whom respect and 'gf' in local chat were more important than blaming the opponents who had already lost. They called it code of conduct in fleets.
She didn't even say it was that bad. After watching the video I was willing to give the corp a try but after seeing all these comments from what I assume are various horde corp members it made me not want to do it
Mostly ex horde corp members. It's shit. If you want to do the nullsec newbie group experience join Brave and fuck around or join a small group. Horde is just exploitation and bots.
Hi! I regularly leave and return to EvE, now your videos made me return again with a fresh character, so thanks! I used to be part of large null-sec groups for short times. I really loved to participate in large fleets, even tho I usually was only an e-war frig or tackler following the pilots with the big toys, but it felt I was part of something big and important. However, I really hated the rules and regulations of such groups. I can't do this in X system, I can't do that between Y and Z timeframe. I can't join to a fleet because I have only a t1 version of one damn module instead of t2. No matter otherwise my ship is perfectly fitted, one module is not perfect and I can't join. Last time I left the game I had to register on at least 4 different websites, 3 discord servers, gave my api code to at least two different parties and when I tried to join a fleet they said I can't cause I need to register on a fifth website, create a cold clone ingame and link it to a server.. I didn't even understand half of what they wanted from me and at that point I totally lost it and just left the game alltogether. Never again... Bigger corps and alliances just makes your life harder and suck the fun out of the game.
Large fleet engagements are a drag. Sure, sometimes you're making history. But they are so slow and frustrating due to the server lag and Time Dilatation (TIDI). It's no fun to die to odd timing quirks and have your machine crash because the client (let alone the server) can't handle the load. I prefer low-sec where the fleets are more manageable.
Hi, how nice to see a video of yours again, it's always a pleasure, I really enjoy your way of making videos and approaching the EVE from a casual and direct point of view, without any restrictions or disrespect. I love your videos. Regarding Pandemic Horde, I guess it happens the same as in many places, I'm a player since 2006 and I've seen how everything changes. The fear of spies and the lack of imagination in the game has made that the large PVP is simplified to hit F1, a shame, because this way you never learn anything new and you end up having sheep in your army instead of wolves. What I like most every time I play EVE with more people is to be taught to sharpen my claws and teeth, not blindly follow an order that I don't know what it leads to. Pack or solo... be a wolf my friend.
As someone who ran low/high alliance, but also alts in main null blocks. All have restrictions and thus to be able to either freely enjoy or access all parts of eve space it often best to have alts in both empire space and null sec etc. Even used to News camera fights on twitch for a while but live battle coverage can be anothering thing completely. Interesting to see how Horde - so there basic recruitment upwards. Politics of not showing, talking about stuff - filming, or even fair fights was always hard. Still takes me a while to loose the old mindset of Pandemic I had when they were rented MErc roaming around null to what in recent years is Panfam etc.
I've been in sigma grindset since the catch days, a little over 2 years now, i guess. Back then i did whatever i wanted, and the requirement from sigma or rekking crew was minimal but always fun. I do logi so fly the scimi, try not to die was basically it. Then we moved to Paragon and Esoteria and became "members of imperium" (which, well on paper to me we are but I do not see myself as a goon) and it's pretty much the same, i still do whatever i want. It's only way more blues than neutrals and we're "encouraged" but not really required to do anything except be in CTA if we can (i.e. don't crab while CTA, but that's easy to cicumvent, some people just go offline for 30min and then "oh i guess missed fleet" and go right back to crabbing. Nobody cares), but they do advise normal stuff like dread alts and don't go running about in your super or 15b rorqual in the timezone when everyone is asleep but you. It's pretty relaxed, I'd say.
Home defense fleets for sure arent for honorable fights. They are to keep space safe and functioning. Every minute a hostile fleet is around is a potential loss of income and potential loss of infra or ships. As nullsec is a N+1 kind of pvp style, outnumbering is simply the go to strategy
I've been in a smaller null sec group for 100 days and had a great experience overall. Sometimes it's frustrating not having the security to do some of the PVE content I want to in peace, but the people all know each other, there is a much greater element of knowing your corpmates and enjoying their company, and i get the level of PVP content I want to without feeling overwhelmed. I think EVE would do doing better if it supported smaller null groups over blobs.
I do Belive that home security fleet are ment to be unfair... The goal is to remove the intriders guarantee safety and discourage other intrusion... We should see it as a "player concord police" kida thing... Also... If you have a huge fleet you cant really say hey you stay doked wile we having fun... Better to disrizpect intruders than your own members
4S is recruiting! Gf btw. I fly regularly with the tengu fleet at GSF. I feel your video is fairly accurate and describes well what null sec life can be like. If you do get kicked perhaps join the other side and compare views? Could be a interesting video.. Fly safe.. Peek
It's not worth it, they demand full API and they didn't even accept a player who had a break from Eve and was flying for EG squad. You have to meet a number of conditions and they send copy paste nonsense without giving any reason for the refusal. Monika, it's a waste of time on 4S
@@waszka1 4S upholds an active and friendly Corp atmosphere. We take the fight where content is and try to not lose too many shops on the way. If you initally active and friendly then we would have re accepted you back. I'll let you figure it out. Good luck on your next venture.
@@gripenn thx for response, I was active and I am active. I don't like the way I'm being treated. If someone comes to you, fills out the entire survey, gives you full access and receives a rejection in the form of 1-2 sentences of copy paste, it's not OK. I still don't know why I was rejected xD
I've not played or seen an EVE community video pass by my screen in a while, and this was rather fantastic! I do think about EVE sometimes and if it could be something I could play again...
I've been playing Eve on and off since 2011. I spent quite a bit of time In different corps that lived in Goon space and after a long break. {You never really leave Eve, you take breaks from time to time} I joined Pandemic Horde. So far I am having a blast. I feel a greater since of freedom than I had in Goon space, and there are far more systems available to all members than those 4 systems around the keepstar that you start in. Dozens and dozens of them. I doubt I will ever explore them all. That's not to say I didn't like living in Goon space. But I feel like I have more freedom here. Also the central trade hub in Pandemic Horde is much more active and well stocked. I put it on par with {In terms of size and trade activity} the Amarr trade hub in hisec. Blows Dodixie out of the water. My take is: If you're looking for a very disciplined and serous pvp fleet experience than the Goons have a lot to offer. If you're looking for freedom to do whatever floats your boat in nul without any strings attached in a friendly environment. Then I think Pandemic has more to offer than even living in a large renter corp in goon space. IMHO
Nice explaining Ami,I am self looking for big Corp that cant get war dec like old Brave Empire but I saw they were closed ,I like to do my things and some times join them in low sec and 0 sec I don't need any thing from Corp even I help Corp if I can with joining them in fleet ,its game for me but I see most require many things from you and for me its game ,unfortunaly couldnt find any Corp for me so I play solo
i started in like 2011 (maybe 2012 idr) and joined Test as a 2-weeks fresh pilot, they were in Delve at the time. i didn't even know i could group my guns. i think as a new player, joining a nullbloc can give you a jumpstart at learning a lot of the game mechanics you wouldn't normally get into if you stayed in highsec. the 'blue umbrella' gives you easy access to relatively decent income as a newer player, and you meet a number of different people. i think i stuck with it for about a year, and just got really bored tbh--it's just not for me--each day was just line ships, logi or if you're involved in the cap wing, maybe dropping a dread or triage. i appreciate a lot of the smaller groups at this point, working in small gangs, playing a more specific role, lowsec/wormhole focus. i think i would have just been watering down my own experiences in eve if i had stayed solely in a nullbloc--but everyone's looking for something different out of the game, and i respect that.
I really didn't have an easy time in Pandemic Horde, but I still tried to paint a neutral overview for you. Here are some comments that i was facing with: "DON'T get surprised if you get booted and blacklisted for spying." "DON'T record any comms!" "DON'T upload any feed from Horde" (Oh, I will!) "We DON'T want to fuel the Goon propaganda machine." "The ONLY two explanations for hiding ISK transfers are 1) Hiding RMT (Real Money Trading) 2) Hiding funding transfers to spy accounts." What are your experiences with 0.0 sec alliances? Is it worth joining? I'm looking forward to your feedback ! 🙂
i am in iron whales in goons, these guys are great no real requirements. however you do need to give your esi. tons of programs in goons that help teach you the game. they even give isk to fc's that want to learn. tons of classes each week. we even have tons of sub groups in the alliance. let me know if you wanna know more. maybe you could make a video about goons. also no one really cares what you record. we dont really lose that often though.
hello, love the video! wanted to mention on the PVE part their is about 48 systems available to the brand new horde member, if you see the map of C3J straight from MJ it connects to a a bunch of green systems.
I was in horde over a year and regularly lead home defense standing fleets in USTZ. Had a lot of friends there and we killed it in PvP! Went on a filament roam one time and accidentally killed one player that apparently was "Blue" to us, even though they weren't, and leadership failed to pass this information down to us grunts lol. I had some random guy from leadership I had never heard of jump into our comms with an attitude - I legit asked "Who are you?" and he banned me from PH immediately without even saying who he was. I still don't know to this day lol. I paid for the guys ship that we killed and they were cool with it, but PH didn't care and still banned me and my whole fleet of 16 players for causing a "Diplomatic Issue", even though the pilot/corp guy we killed was cool and said it was an honest mistake. Real morale here is PH leadership has a weird ego, tread carefully. If they turn their backs on you for whatever reason, it makes it really tough to get into any other major corporation. Luckily, I got picked up by a reasonable group :)
DId you stop making content for Eve? Ive been enjoying your videos recently but noticed you haven't posted in a while. Hope you're still enjoying the game :)
I agree with many of your points, as a new player it would be very hard to make a living and have fun in null sec. The money makers are very slow and uneventful. I think that some people may like the play style of being a f1 button presser and watching action unfold. I dont agree that lowsec is the best, im baised but i think wormhole corps are the best. Lowsec can have many ups and downs and is very dependent on the amount of bling and money you can play with. In wormholes, most fights are brawly and more dependent on intel, not how much money and factoon ships you throw at it. Thanks for the video, it was very entertaining and have a good day😊
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb yeah it can be spooky I just never fly any ships that I can't lose on a wim. I hope you make this type of video into a series and overview all of the playstyles in eve, it would be very interesting to see your opinion!!
Haven't played in several years, but was the last corp I had a char in. Wasn't a bad corp then apart from almost everything being based around a US timezone...
Descent video, just returned to mess around a bit and joined PH. No offense intended but you are a bit naive in your thinking. Big blocks aren't looking for fair fights in their backyard/home turf, they are looking to protect their territory. An opposing FC that shows up in a Big Block backyard is (a) looking for soft targets / easy kills (b) expecting to get blobbed for stepping on a big block home turf because it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Oh and spy's in big blocks are a problem, everyone has them and restrictions are a way of life.
Great video that made me finally decide to give null sec a try after years of playing. Created a new character and applied. Rejected with no explanation and was told in the public channel they will not discuss the reason. LOL.
I'd think they would be a bit paranoid about everyone and everything. You might also be expected to spend plenty of time doing what they want/need you to do. Thats to be expected. My experience even a small Corp was this, every time I logged on, I was immediately pinged in Corp chat. Someone wanted me to go and mine with them. Mine all day. Every single time. We did diddly else. I could not even log on just to go and rat, without someone wanting me to go join a fleet and mine. After a while I got tired of it. I simply wanted to do something on my own. I also felt that the ore was always going to someone. It's not like it sat around in the corps station for Corp use. It was already gone. We got paid for are effort at least. Still, it felt like a second job.
Usually it goes like this: you go to staging with 20 ships and Horde feeds ~4bil before a 100+ man fleet arrives and kicks you out ^^ Pros in null are making that isk, cons are you need to follow other peoples rules. I never joined a big group.and I don't want to. But I'll go solo or with some friends to Nullsec one day when the Minmatar Republic dies or something like that.😢
To be fair, there are plenty of "green" systems in neighboring regions, and they're only a few jumps away with the ansiblex networks, so new folks have access to way more than 3 systems. I haven't been with PH for that long, but I've spent a long time with other large and small nullsec groups over the years, the opsec stuff is pretty standard in any null group. You should try joining a wh outfit, that lot are the pinnacle of eve paranoia. I think your criticism of nullsec life is fair, and you're right, you can blanket bomb the same criticism across most nullsec groups, except maybe brave? brave are just special in their own special way, they're like the little train that could, but they're still a nullsec group. Eve is rarely fair, never mind home defense fleets, but it is so dependent upon the FC too, they need to want a fight and not just chase the opposing fleet off so everyone can get back to krabbing... fighting or krabbing... the eternal dichotomy of null...
You are awesome! Keep up the great work! Transparently "reporting" should never be met with backlash if you were up-front about it in the first place. On a side-note I actually landed near Ami from a WH the other day and would have stopped by to "say hi" if I had been PvP fit. I will try to be prepared next time and "greet" you there hopefully. o7
as a member of WH corp. we rather do pvp in hole than chasing bots in null... because usually response fleet is as you said 4:1 or people using third party soft for intel channels so most of crabs are already hidden at citadels..
I actually have spy characters in 3 huge alliances and I regularly sell info and whatnot to each of them lol. There are several easy ways around their silly backround checks.
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb ah sorry I'm in goons, I re-read that and can see how that would come across like that. If you could, I'd be interested to see you join all 3 major blocks then decide which is the most fun
I know that Imperium has Brave Newbies for easy access to 0.0, without PvE restrictions. Does a similar corp exist in Pandemic Horde? One with api/background checks but very casual approach to the game (like Brave Newbies)?
Once you join PH Inc., which is the default corp in PH and setup your services, forum, discord, mumble access etc, you can scroll through a very large list of corps within horde and their requirements. While all of them require ESI a handful of them are very newbie friendly and don't have much reqs at all.
All these people in the comments saying about rules, obligations and that you're a cog. I challenge you to go and actually join yourself and not believe everything you've read. If you leave the state owned mega corps I cant imagine its any different than a small wormhole one, you play with your buddies and attend alliance activities if you want. I figured that's how it was for all 3 blocks or maybe I'm spoilt over here with the good goon life in a great corp. The rules are: 1. Have fun 2. Dont shoot blues 3. Stick your API on the website 4. Dont tell folks there are titans in 1dq (shhh, dont tell anyone I told you) 5. Go on one fleet a month just to prove you're still alive. 6. See rule 1 Been here 13 years, not been one single activity I've ever been told I couldn't do. If I want go welp a super unless I expect the alliance to pay for it or need to involve the alliance to help me do it then I'm free to welp away, isnt this how it is for everyone?
Brave newbie defectors and using the same approach as us they were started by a PL spy that was with us in 2014 by saying newbie friendly. try joining brave newbies to get the original Newbie feeling.
I tried to join a low-sec pirate corp, and it was slower and more time-consuming than finding a real-life job. I said screw it and just created my corp and went solo.
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb The Tuskers. I applied to them and eventually decided to give up when nobody either said "yes" or "no" after twenty or so days.
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb Yeah, they're a good corp but it seems their recruitment section lacks someone active. Anyway, keep up the good work. Your videos are fun and informational. Thanks.
The maincorp has always been trash, if you wan't better experiences join smaller corps under the umbrella or the api gated specialized corps where you can get some responbilities and chance to grow.
I did a tour in Null-sec in 2009. Just after the BOB alliance got "deleted". Ended up picking one of the left over corps. They established themselves in Stain. Or were trying to. With no "blue" space to all their own and most of the players in US timezone, when I logged in on a Saturday morning to go and try and make some money or even explore the area, it was full of neuts and reds and no blues. So you sat in the station. Then when the rest of the folks logged on around 4pm my time we would go out on a PVP roam and die. When the ISK ran out I was told to clone jump back to high-sec to make some ISK and then to spend 20Mil ISK on the frieghter jump to bring my own battle ship. Then I had to scrounge, bed, borrow and steal modules to fit it.... poorly. I couldn't even find sentries and went out on the first fleet with T1 mediums! Useless. Didn't get blown up though and when I quit they did "gift" me a jump out of the BS as a leaving gift. Dropped it in Reblier! I'm considered going back out to null, but after another 5 year break I am back, but changing things up, I moved to low-sec, upgraded to 3 accounts and am trying to "nomad" / "solo" my settling in to my new home. Finding a lot of fun as the initial "fear" and nerves even undocking have softened up. The stress comes down with both successful escapes and losses. The more experience you get with both the less freaked out you are moving around. PVP. I find it difficult to roam and look and find targets. Don't get me wrong, I can find targets, but I just run out of "will" to spend time hunting them down to get a warp in and even then, I'm honestly not the kind of person who wants to kill random strange players in ships that can't shoot back. I am still self-sourcing/building/hauling in a T1 PVP ship stock pile. While the most PVP roamers who come through come from the C3 Wormholes that always seem to open in my home system and hare particularly scary... I am hoping to find a fair target eventually. I have spotted someone ratting in a vexor for example. That could be conceived as a valid combat target and also competition. I think I might just move up to a T1 cruiser, vexor maybe as I have 2 tones with excellent drone boat skills and... a third as bait. If I can master multiboxing them in combat that is. Currently I'm only building up to running 2 toons on field at once. 3 will take a bit more practice and technique.
ohhh wow - welcome back then your journey through Null-sec to low-sec, and your strategies in PVP and ship management, reflect a deep engagement with the game. thanks for sharing that !!!
Until I had joined a null corp and the alliance, I was struggling but managed to find cool corp where people are nice and want to help you, fleets are not that strict and you can play how you like. But in the end, it all comes down to what playing style does any of those alliances provide. If they require you to have certain amount of kills and you are just not that kind of a player, then you go to the next one. Sure, everybody now have to be careful about letting new players in because it can easy be the spy for the other side, but you can clearly see that even players that were fighting with others for 10+ years turn sides. So new players and spies and all that drama doesn't make sense. Anybody can be a spy and all of that can be done outside of your eve main account and away from others to see.
i agree 150% with that ! "So new players and spies and all that drama doesn't make sense. Anybody can be a spy and all of that can be done outside of your eve main account and away from others to see."
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb I also understand that they want to stop demotivation of their own people from seeing their losses by asking others not do record and publish losses, but that is not a good practice. You need to embrace the defeat, learn from those mistakes that you made, not shove it below the carpet and hope none will go to clean the dust and dirt under it. And there will always be someone that will go and look for those. Eve is really transparent game when you look at it, you can clearly see how certain fight went trough, and I really don't know how can they just hide them from players... Unless they have players that doesn't check these things and can only see them trough YT videos, but then what about situation where Goons, Init or anyone else publish their video of victory battles against Horde or Frat? They will request to shut down those videos so their players don't see their losses? That's funny :D
@@CavicBronx agree and as a content creator, it's important for me to show transparency and try to remain as neutral as possible. i am not on somebodys payroll
After the Haunting Deity zarzeckh disaster i doubt youre going to find many fcs super enthusiastic about being recorded. The being said, the southern agreement is about to end and a fairly large war is about to spin up using zarzackh power projection in the south. Imperium allies are already starting to put out spies and awoxers in preparation, whilst spinning up their propaganda machine, so im sure there is a ton of suspicion about. If you dont like Horde that much you might try Frat. It is esi gated and largely chinese, but the fcs/translators do often explain objectives and the chinese fcs are very friendly. Their fleets are also very organized but there arent as many in peace time. HD fleet encounters are also generally of a smaller scale unless the imperium is involved.

Seat ( API access ) is pretty common now for a lot of serious corps / alliances. I know it isn’t the nicest experience to feel like you’re not trusted from the get go but if you were running a corp or alliance with a lot of assets would you really let in anyone without any checks? We all know the stories of spying and theft and on one hand its funny and interesting but its an understandable reaction by corps to want you to login to SEAT. You can revoke your api access to their Seat or what ever application they want to use to perform background checks. Its kind of expected that you’re not a noob pilot and you’ve heard of the theft and spying stories in EVE. You cant expect to join and be trusted straight away
If i would be a spy, i wouldnt join an alliance with my obvious spy-character. I would create a complete new account. Or i would have created 20 accounts several years ago, so that i have a choice of 60 characters joining an ally as a spy and noone will ever notice, even with API access. So imho its an absoluty stupid, ridiculous and braindead move. I wonder if anyone has ever or will ever uncover a real spy with that kind of regulation.
@@berdstet1361 i think you are 150% right.- I'm seriously considering creating a new account, completely neutral. I'd give this account an inconspicuous cv, of course without any money transfers. I'm curious to see what all those API checks will be worth then...
Yeah you're right you can do that. But how many people realistically will wait 20 years to subvert a corp that might not exist in an an allianec that might not exist in a game whos rules might change and in a game that might not exist? Brisc Rubal, what do you think - could I make a video like this one about Karma Fleet / Goons? A completely neutral one with the freedom for me to deliver my own view, my perspective on things inside Karma Fleet and for sure...without API checks? 10 days. You're the one who can open the door for that, right?
I think that the Horde director team (maybe) will be able to accept feedback and view the video in a differentiated manner. If i get kicked out of Horde, i am super cool with that. please Subscribe and don't miss out on the information in one of the upcoming videos. :-))))))))))))
In low sec PvP, i take down other players, (shoot, kill, steal) salvage the wrecks, and steal the loot. This is a goog income. Add to that some planetary interaction (PI), and you've got yourself a very decent basic income. And i am bad in PVE i lost a lot of ships to NPCs i hate the BURNER Missions used 4 webs and cant hold that fast shi*** 🙂
The politics in a fcking video game... damn... Why some people take eve so seriously, am I missing something? You should make a video about that too ;) Let's call it "what is wrong with you nerds?" ;)
That many, or even a lot of people, take a game so seriously also shows how good the game is... often confusing real life with the game. Amazing, right?
if someone tells me i have to do a background check to join a group in a video game i will politely and firmly say Kiss My A#! its a video game not a application for the CIA im trying to have fun and escape the BS of real life not inject that BS into my video game
I mean I see where you're coming from but this is EVE man. It has always been like this and considering the history of the game, the impact of some of the actions taken by spies in the past ( disbanding BoB comes to mind ), the insane metagame that occurs outside of the game I would say I see why some corps/allies have these rules. EVE is very different than any other MMO out there, a single player can easily ruin an alliance that has tens of thousands of players so the stakes are rather high. This is not new, it started even when the game was still in beta in 2002. :) But like I said I can certainly understand why people feel that way.
When Horde started, I literally just went through the interface checking "accept" on every application. We presumed that there would be spies, because everyone in PL had a spy or 10 in BRAVE. We simply did not care about anything but fun. Back in my day (the very beginning, after PL's semi-accidental conquest of Catch when Horde lived from HED-GP), the only way to get kicked was to be racist etc. or otherwise ruin everyone's fun.
While I 100% understand your reasoning for not doing ESI checks as a content creator, it is a little unfortunate as I think being able to join one of the smaller corps within horde would help resolve some of the issues you experienced. I’m a member of a horde corp on the small-medium size, and I enjoy going on fleets with the main alliance quite a bit. But when I want smaller scale PvP or just a closer knit community, my corp will often get together as 5-10 people and do small roams or mining fleets and just hang out together. It seems to me like you scratch that itch just fine hanging out in lowsec which is cool, just saying those smaller communities do exist under the horde umbrella too, either in smaller corps or “sigs” (basically interest groups). Thanks for the video! I’m sorry to hear that you’re getting so much grief about it, I’m pretty disappointed to hear that.

just joined PH and reading all the rules i can confirm, pandemic horde inc players are restricted to 4 fucking systems in the entire region, everything else is rented/restricted space. what a horrible mistake this was
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb You got lied to. Gobbins is well known for that. The other 46 systems are so far away and unprotected to be worthless. And, in fact, are pretty worthless with crap upgrades installed.
Well, you're welcome to join any other large null-bloc that I'm sure will let you have unfettered access to their space without any API checks. Oh wait...
Thank you for making a video about my alliance and for your feedback. I want to correct some inaccuracies: - There are not 4 pve systems open for trial players in Horde, there are 50. - All large nullbloc alliances require API keys due to security concerns. Horde is the only large entity that allows non-API players into nullsec to begin with, and the restrictions you mentioned are lifted upon providing API. - The hostile fleets you showed in your video were not roaming gangs ‘looking for nice fights’ but strat opses, whose goal is to either destroy infrastructure or cause as much damage as possible. They do not show up to give ‘honorable fights’. - Within the alliance, there are many special interest groups (SIGs) for different types of gameplay, including FW or smaller sized fleets. These are special subgroups within the alliance that members can join and leave at their leisure. - You claim that single players cannot matter in a big fleet. There are many individual roles that make a huge difference even when 100s of players are in fleet. Some examples would be fleet commanders, scouts, logi, cynos, coordinators, or any of the people that allow 100s of strangers to work together as a unit. - There is no alliance-wide policy of what videos can or cannot be posted. Each FC can ask for their voice to not be recorded.
I've pinned that at the top of the video. btw, my videos are made purely for fun, I don't receive any payment, so they always portray my personal experiences and perspectives. But it is like it is: I'm simply sharing my own experiences, which could be similar to those of a new player, and I present them with my subjective opinions. As a special gesture, I'll be fair and make sure to mention the Horde PVE areas again at the beginning of the next video because I know, that not everyone may will be read your posting below this video ;-)
I've been playing eve since 2005 and even for someone like me, the game is so incredibly complex that I still can't explain everything in detail. When a player has an experience with horde you should be extremely grateful and not only go fingerpointing what's wrong. Why you haven't mentioned a single word about the positive things that have been said about your alliance? Gobbins remember 2015? When you founded Horde? Wasn't your goal to make NULLSPACE more accessible to new players? Wasn't the idea to create an alliance that is open to everyone? Alliances change, policy change but Horde was the "go to place" for new player as a friendly alliance under PL. Its not a far future, when you're like every other null-sec alliances. What used to make you strong over the years, being open to everyone, is now getting more and more restricted. Over the last years you've strongly continued to lower access for basic members, you founded "Blessed Bean" and others, the initially open PH has become more and more restricted. - Where is your willingness to accept feedback? - Why not inviting her to create a new video like *This is Pandemic Horde* ? You could even offer her some ISK as an incentive. This way, you could promote Horde with an extensive reach and have a video that aligns with your vision and without mistakes.

Small-gang can be defined to be flying with
Joined Goonswarm in 2011, still in, PH thx for the feeding Content for all those years and to come.
Dear Ami, here is a comment from another fellow German eve player:
I play EVE since 4 years and am a member of PH since 2.
And I should find more synonyms for weird.
Thank you for that. I did highlight many advantages of being in Horde and at the end in the video, I do recommend joining Horde if you're up for PvP. It's not all negative, and it's always just my "little" perspective on things - which could be wrong. whos perfect`?

I joined a nullsec alliance only 3 months after starting Eve. Was a very hard learning curve as we were in FIRE coalition and I lost all my assets in that war.
Our corp then joined Goons.
I really enjoy Goons and just wish our enemies woukd fight more often. Recently we've had a lot of fleets where we go out and then put enemies don't fight.

Hey thank you ! But Horde is fighting every goon fllet thats coming in, right? Did not see they run away.

PH: Only post fleets where we look good. Goons: Ye, we just fed marshals and a poggerhead - go have a laugh!

Love horde and large scale fleet fights. Trash talk is part of the pvp game. No one means anything by it.
There were many FCs for whom respect and 'gf' in local chat were more important than blaming the opponents who had already lost. They called it code of conduct in fleets.

Bigger corps and alliances just makes your life harder and suck the fun out of the game.
super cool feedack AND : NICE that you returned to the game ! i love that. welcome back !
Large fleet engagements are a drag. Sure, sometimes you're making history. But they are so slow and frustrating due to the server lag and Time Dilatation (TIDI). It's no fun to die to odd timing quirks and have your machine crash because the client (let alone the server) can't handle the load. I prefer low-sec where the fleets are more manageable.
i HATE TIDI ... i prefer low sec too...but sometimes 0.0 can be fun.
This is why I love NPC null. Best of all worlds! Syndicate for life!
I like that. At the end we are playing in the same universe, right?
thanks for the videos, they have been very informative. As a new player your corp and pvp videos are very educational and entertaining.
hey thank you and have fun with the game !
Cool video! Would totally be interested in seeing a follow up in another one, like INIT or Goons
It's pretty relaxed, I'd say.
nice input thx
I think EVE would do doing better if it supported smaller null groups over blobs.
and for sure Eve would doing better by making HS traveling safer!
Agreed - home defense fleets aren't about fair fights - they're about securing your space.
4S is recruiting! Gf btw. I fly regularly with the tengu fleet at GSF. I feel your video is fairly accurate and describes well what null sec life can be like. If you do get kicked perhaps join the other side and compare views? Could be a interesting video.. Fly safe.. Peek

Super useful video, if you have enough time and willingness to test other alliances. As a fan of NPSI, I have the same assumptions as you
i am on it
I've been playing Eve on and off since 2011. I spent quite a bit of time In different corps that lived in Goon space and after a long break. {You never really leave Eve, you take breaks from time to time}
I joined Pandemic Horde.
IMHO

i started in like 2011 (maybe 2012 idr) and joined Test as a 2-weeks fresh pilot, they were in Delve at the time. i didn't even know i could group my guns.
i think as a new player, joining a nullbloc can give you a jumpstart at learning a lot of the game mechanics you wouldn't normally get into if you stayed in highsec. the 'blue umbrella' gives you easy access to relatively decent income as a newer player, and you meet a number of different people.
i think i stuck with it for about a year, and just got really bored tbh--it's just not for me--each day was just line ships, logi or if you're involved in the cap wing, maybe dropping a dread or triage. i appreciate a lot of the smaller groups at this point, working in small gangs, playing a more specific role, lowsec/wormhole focus. i think i would have just been watering down my own experiences in eve if i had stayed solely in a nullbloc--but everyone's looking for something different out of the game, and i respect that.
"(...) jumpstart at learning a lot of the game mechanics you wouldn't normally get into if you stayed in highsec". Oh yes, thats 100% the case.

I really didn't have an easy time in Pandemic Horde, but I still tried to paint a neutral overview for you. Here are some comments that i was facing with:
"DON'T get surprised if you get booted and blacklisted for spying."
"DON'T record any comms!"
"DON'T upload any feed from Horde" (Oh, I will!)
"We DON'T want to fuel the Goon propaganda machine."
"The ONLY two explanations for hiding ISK transfers are 1) Hiding RMT (Real Money Trading) 2) Hiding funding transfers to spy accounts."
What are your experiences with 0.0 sec alliances? Is it worth joining? I'm looking forward to your feedback ! 🙂
i am in iron whales in goons, these guys are great no real requirements. however you do need to give your esi. tons of programs in goons that help teach you the game. they even give isk to fc's that want to learn. tons of classes each week. we even have tons of sub groups in the alliance. let me know if you wanna know more. maybe you could make a video about goons. also no one really cares what you record. we dont really lose that often though.

LOL.
Hmmm wodnering why PH.INC is reject so many ppl...anyways go goons or brave then
I'd think they would be a bit paranoid about everyone and everything. Still, it felt like a second job.
have you tried joining a non-mining focused corp?
Try again man, your corp was shit.
Usually it goes like this: you go to staging with 20 ships and Horde feeds ~4bil before a 100+ man fleet arrives and kicks you out ^^
Pros in null are making that isk, cons are you need to follow other peoples rules. I never joined a big group.and I don't want to. But I'll go solo or with some friends to Nullsec one day when the Minmatar Republic dies or something like that.😢
🙂

The rules are:
1. Have fun
2. Dont shoot blues
3. Stick your API on the website
4. Dont tell folks there are titans in 1dq (shhh, dont tell anyone I told you)
5. Go on one fleet a month just to prove you're still alive.
6. See rule 1
Been here 13 years, not been one single activity I've ever been told I couldn't do. If I want go welp a super unless I expect the alliance to pay for it or need to involve the alliance to help me do it then I'm free to welp away, isnt this how it is for everyone?

I have just put in my application to the hord but now I don't think I wont to know.

But like I said I can certainly understand why people feel that way.
I remember when Kismeteer joined PH after after some time in goons. He literally said the same thing you said about spying and no one batted an eye.
tbh...i like Kismeteer ! hes a cool guy.
Stay Frosty 😉

Well, you're welcome to join any other large null-bloc that I'm sure will let you have unfettered access to their space without any API checks. Oh wait...
Thank you for making a video about my alliance and for your feedback. I want to correct some inaccuracies:
- There are not 4 pve systems open for trial players in Horde, there are 50.
Bro made a new YT account for this comment 😂
@@TheRock68-mi7vf Oh fuck no his goal was always to make RMT money like crazy, I was with him when he did it, I jumped ship from TEST strategic command day 1 to join him. Fucking piece of shit backstabbed all of us and went straight to the bank. If I ever get dox on him he's going straight the fuck to jail.
Playing eve for 15 years, 2 weeks in horde, one of the best community.
how do you get that red circle around the pointer?? I need this!
its from the recording tool : Aiseesoft Screen Recorder
Too bad you dont get a "storytime" like we get in any goonswarm fleet .
I'm in and I'm having a good time. Amused by all the salt and shitposting.
pandemic horde suck taken a couple weeks away for a holiday came back to find myself kicked from the clan and my sht all locked in their station when got it back most my sht was gone
join goons or brave then....i dont speak for horde ;-)
you should've showed the map for TKE, where there are plenty of non-gated systems. But I do understand you don't really care that much because you don't do PVE.
i put that information some days ago in the video description. i did a mistake with the map but at the first time i only found the map i posted in the video
Should have come to newbeans and asked or reached out to the newbean team who talked to you first. If something seems really "wrong" its probably a limited perspective issue in my experience. There arent actually many big evils left in eve as far as i can tell. And thats from someone who has been in a forever war vs goons for years (they arent all that bad maybe... i dunno... maybe they are the worsts)

@@EveMentorship Well, why not take this as a super great opportunity to review and potentially improve the presentation of maps and information, especially if many players might be having the same as I did at Horde Square? Here's how a professional company might have responded: "Thank you very much for your feedback, for which we are truly grateful. Feedback is always an opportunity for us to question our own processes to ensure that we can consistently offer optimal solutions." Aanyways I will mention the correct map in the next video.
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb we have been reviewing our maps constantly and have constant bickering discussions around them.
You looked at a single region of our maps have given no real feedback about why you did that for me to understand the pitfall. The map itself you seem to have understood well just missed the fact that we had afew more.
@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb He don't even mention the positive things you've said. Didn't you even recommend joining? After that drama here i hope player see that they should leave horde and not joining them.
Can't imagine joining a null corp just for some nerd with a superiority complex to start shouting at me during my free time playing a video game.
In all the null corps I joined 90% of players are just a cog in the machine and upper leadership gives 0 shits about you. There's always "that fc"
wormholer btw
WH is sooooo complex...
didn't have to read to the bottom to realize that you are a connoisseur of wormhole space!
wormhole btw
btw, the e in horde is silent, I couldn't stop laughing every time you said hord-ee if that was on purpose, even better

That's probably one of the main reasons why PHI characters couldn't be easily trusted.

That's probably one of the main reasons why TEST has no idea what they're doing as they were arguably on our side.

@@ThisisAmi-Eveonline-xi8fb unfortunately I have been time zone tanked from doing many Baguette fleets. I do enjoy looking at the BR’s tho. I will say that the standing fleet blob is just a thing on both sides. You can team up with a few other blues to chase a small gang out but there’s always a blob ready and waiting for some fresh t1 explorer ship blood.
@@zorgzev96 you are with karma fleet?
what is the word at 7:30, cant recognize it
"Broadcast for reps" i think
Fighting horde standing fleet is an absolutely miserable experience. When me and 4 or 5 of my corp mates go anywhere near MJ- in some navy cruisers and an assault frigate looking for a small scrap, a bit of fun flying around on the grid.. we are met with a gigantic rabid blob and then get shit talked for not wanting to fight 75 people
well yes...standing fleet has high numbers.
Well you flying into a high pop area with ppl siting waiting for a fight. And when you throw a few juicy steaks on the front porch your gonna get a reaction from alot of hungry wolves 😂
@@ryanhendrickson7346 wolves are always hungry its like my laprador dog..hes eating 24/7
@@ryanhendrickson7346totally understand but what I think gets lost between nullsec blocs and small gang pvpers is the fact that many small groups that look for a “fair” fight just go to places where they know there are people that are relatively active. They know they arent entitled to an even fight but they hope that other players are somewhat like-minded and will bring similar #s or not upship into marauders INSTANTLY in hopes to have some fun clicking buttons in space opposed to anchoring and pressing F1.
Like.. we get it.. we’re in your “home”. We dont care about sov, we dont care about shooting your structures or ansiblex, we dont even care about stealing your ESS rat loot, we just want another group of a similar size and composition to come have some fun.
Its easy enough for bloc’s to reship, you live right there just grab another and come back. But to instantly deny content and fights to other people looking to PVP simply because theyre in cruisers and then standing fleet is undocking vargurs and lach’s and huginns and logi.. its fucking cringe. And then wonder why people dont want to come fight horde or goons or frat bc its actually aids.
@@ryanhendrickson7346 “waiting for a fight” is the key word. Just.. take a handful of guys and go out on your own and look for one. You dont need your supercap umbrella and 100+ guys behind you to have fun

So i told the guy to F off while he was "disciplining" me in VC. So is it worth joining? No, not at all. Is it even possible to join? No, not at all.
