Join me on an epic adventure in the low sec system as I embark on Day 1 with a brand new character, armed with zero skills and some skill injectors. Right from day one, those locals didn't give me a warm welcome. The local heroes were far from pleased with my arrival.They started off by hurling insults, talking trash, and even threatening me, but guess what? They failed miserably! Just a bunch of empty threats.
I am doing some PvP runs in my Orthrus using different fittings with both my one-month-old character and my main character in EVE Online. So far, I have managed to kill a total of over 3 billion ISK worth of targets, including an Orca and several Hurricanes, using my Orthrus. Additionally, I successfully took down a Raven without getting shot down myself. - เกม
Attacking a 1.000 dps raven with a 15.000 EHP Orthrus is maybe a suicide run. But you never know :-) it's always possible to achieve unexpected results.🙂
It was a nice catch. My only advice would be to think about the rats in the area and what the target is most likely tanked. In this case it is blood raiders and he will be mostly em with some therm tanked, so your missile selection would be better, I'd suggest kinetic or therm!

But I like your video's, it was nice to see some pvp rather than just theory. I've done lots of low sec pvp in the past so it is something that I hold close to my heart. If I can try and impart some knowledge then I will try =)
I maybe be wrong, but I guess auto missiles would be a great defense, if you have three dampeners on you.

A good advice when it comes to pvp is not to be affraid to lose a ship. That doesn't mean you have to lose it, but if you do, learn from it, and you will become a way much better player than if you don't engage cause you're scared to lose a ship

As a super noob to the game this finally gave me an idea of what PVP looks like in EVE -- seems like it requires lots of knowledge.
*Everything* in EVE requires lots of knowledge. Skill points and ships are only the tools, you definitely need to know how to use them properly. PVP is probably the most intense gaming experience you will ever have. However, engaging in PVP (consensually or not) is the only way to gain that knowledge. You can watch videos for years, but nothing replaces actual combat experience. Build 10 cheap T1 frigs fit exactly the same for PVP and go out and lose them all. You will learn something new each time, even if it's "well, don't do *that* again!"
Thats why you find space friends and they tell you what to do and where to go while you learn :)

Side note a proteus 'running' from you could be for a multitude of reasons but age of a toon means very little these days.

As a miner it stirs some fear but nice kills. The Orca pilot has done the forbidden by piloting a ship he couldn't afford to lose.
Maybe I should also get a dirty venture and try my luck on my fellow miners xD
I'm the orca pilot and I literally just bought it an hour before this. Just finished the skill and I scouted out the system the day before to see the traffic. I was already mid warp when she warped to the mining belt.
I also made the money back the next day and bought a new one lol
mining in low sec is never save...wasn´t there "code" killing miners in high sec?

This is something similar to one of my theory’s, expect it was tracking disruption rather than sensor damps. But this seems way better.
damps are bad ...but works you can kill at least nearly every BC with it
I always wondered how PvP-ers make isk, and ransoming makes sense.
Ransoming and for sure the loot. With PI its + 200 mil / month. DED sides in low sec.
Now this is a new way of entertainment... keep it up!!!

People forget to have fun in games and not be whiny/cringe. Im going to try some of these different pvp fits and excited to do so.
I was more than a little surprised when the Orca just sent out hobgbolin 1s to attack. I can afford to replace my Orca but don't go into low sec. I also have 5 infiltrators IIs and 5 Vespa IIs, usually for ratting but if I was attacked they may be able to do something. Compact shields. Well they do say fly what you can afford to lose

the best drones to use against orthrus is warriors. their base speed is 4k ms. so they can do damage to the ship. the issue is you can use your drones on the warriors and kill the damage. just keep orcas out of low sec.

just threw this in pyfa to look at what 3 sensor damps at lv5 skills would do... outside of getting really unlucky you are damn near impossible to hold down 1v1, im sure groups are a different matter if they have competent tackle. Cruisers max lock is under 30km BS is under 40km, little bling on the disruptor and you are good out to 42+. Not to mention that the orthus is faster than most, especially with a bling MWD/snakes. gonna have to try this out at some point, could get into some good shenanigans.

Well, he doesn't know how many skill points someone has... Initially, you can only see the character's age, and I can't fly a Proteus either

Orca fliegen aber tech1 Combat-Drohnen starten... wenns wenigstens ec-300 gewesen wären^^...wer im lowsec nicht ein bisschen in richtung pvp fittet gehört gepodded. Und der arme Orca -noob wollte grade zu seiner Mining gang fliegen bzw. war im warp wenn Du in den Belt gekommen bist, shit happens.. aber trotzdem gut gemacht!

In the raven fight, wouldn't it be better to keep distance instead of orbiting it? It allows for more precise and easier distance management. I don't know the ship you're flying, but I assume it's faster and more agile then the raven. It has been over a decade since I've played eve, so perhaps I'm misremembering something. What's that music btw, I assume it's one of eve online tracks?
I don't like the forward and backward movement when keeping distance... I think with orbiting, you can adjust faster. Not sure 100% maybe you´re right
Orbiting makes the missiles apply poorly so that you have time to adjust

I've been playing for 3 month now and consider myself a somewhat new player but I will never understand how ppl do not realize they are getting hunted...maybe some guys disabled combat scanner in d-scan or something idk.... pretty good job tho!
but that happena 90 %. I mean, low-sec PvE and mining can be easy as hell. 1. Always be aligned. 2. Watch D-scan. 3. Watch local. Very easy.
I thought in Ami you said to leave the *ventures* alone and only go after Orcas? I'm really surprised that Orca pilot came in to fight, especially with T1 Hobgoblins. And those other two ventures were like "surely this PvP fight won't include us in LowSec?" /fail

checking lock range....i think cane is 60km with 3 dampeners it goes down to 22km orbiting at 25km he´s dead

Insgesamt nice ist es natürlich weil es beim arbeiten laufen lassen kannst, aber beim aktiven spielen langweilt es schon. So bin ich auch auf dich gestoßen, recherschiere nach Fightmöglichkeiten in alle Richtungen :)

In todays EVE Online, the age of a character means nothing since the introduction of skill boosters, combining that many of new chars are alts/smurfs of older players, that already have the resources for that. The argument of age do not matter, is not a relliable information. Just like you can be a different person behing this content.
Many of players in EVE Online think they own systems, just like some of them that were threatening me when I was solo roaming Null Sec, I just said "I dont care about your threads, what you're gone do? Hunt me, destroy my ship and pod? Nice, you just grant me a quick trip to High Sec where I will by more ships and I will come back. And I assure that I will start creating problems to any of your ship, even you mining fleets." Some tried, until they realised that was better to leave me alone. One thing I realized, how so many alliances panics when a solo neut enters the systems. As an example, the Raven pilot made a big mistake, you do not do the mission close to the acceleration gate, where anyone can tackle very quickly, whth that ship you must be at range.
Do not take as a critic, nonetheless this is very good PVP, fun and a very good set of information that you provided. Sometimes I cross that systems because I do not have patience to haul by highsec, takes to much time. Maybe we will cross sometime. Fly safe.

Still cant believe you have local stacked..... Also "Shift+Click" heats modules so you don't need to press the tiny green button to heat them.
The cool thing is, there are like tons of ways to Rome and I just play the game however I feel like, believe it or not
Character age means nothing in Eve any more. When they introduce injectors and extractors it took that away entirely.

I see something I could be able to kill and I Yolo. That's the fun in it for me. Besides the zkill thing wouldn't work on me. I fly different fits all the time. Each to their own I guess, that's the beauty of EVE
