What was the scent wick the 8 pt sniffed? I’ve gotten away from using scent for mature bucks, have you had luck with mature bucks on the specific scent?
I liked this video its hope for youth hunters and public land. Hunting shows usually have rich old guys that pay big money to hunt a 200 inch on 12 acres.

One of the best documented hunts I have had the privilege to watch. This was a true joy as we got to come along on this journey. I acted the same way when I tagged my first black bear, yet to get a whitetail of that size, but I been chasing one on my family's 35 acres for 3 years now. Amazing, good for you, I appreciate and respect that you did it all yourself. Where I live in Maine rack matters but first thing most people ask, "what did it weigh?" After the first encot, makes the second one all the sweeter. Amazing job, amazing video, congratulations.

I can’t wait to see what he is this year. He never showed up until late October early November so I’m anxious to see what he looks like this year.
Love the video. Bucks get huge in Iowa for sure. I use scent lock hunting gear product and activate carbon and I pay no attention to the wind. Never winded.
