I enjoyed this video a Great story was told ,the fellow getting his first buck ,the humble admission of the shot being back and the Great Buck at the end awesome !
First buck at 77!! Awesome hunt. That hunt reminds me of old school hunting camp before we were all focused on chasing giants. Great hunt and congrats!! The GQ story was great to follow as well!! Congratulations to both hunters and Josh for grinding it out for the film. Keep up the great work Midwest whitetail
Glad to see that old timer getting his first buck! It's great to see young fellas taking time out of their season to help somebody else get their first buck even if it's a little beat up just shows the character of a Fighter in my book. I wish that buck didn't have his rack all busted up but Grandpa didn't seem to mind one bit. God Bless.
I been hunting with my pap since 8years old but every year since 12 when u can get ur license first.. and this year was my 22nd year hunting with him paps 74 and im 34... i dont even care about deer when we go together lol i just love my pap man... 77 first buck thats fucking awesome yall... blessings from ohio an pa
204” Iowa monarch falls...... literally!! Great hunt guys. The whole team is amazing, it’s different without bill for sure. It’s also amazing in its own sense where you guys have taken this video series too!!!! Josh.... I do believe you may be one of the best outdoor video editors I’ve ever watched, the story telling for the team is amazing and the videos are excellent. It’s be great if you guys could do more educational information with the hunts. With yours, mikes and Jared’s knowledge I’m sure people could learn from it. Keep it up man!!
GQ - what an amazing buck and an amazing story! Congrats to Lee and Josh, a great team effort. Love Midwest Whitetail and Chasing November. You're such good story-tellers and definitely help the hunts have an emotional impact. That passion you have, and many of us hunters have, shines through and through.
Am I alone on this or does anyone else think that the impact after the back ran off the ledge was actually what killed it? That was about to be a longgggg track job with the shot that was made. Either way, what a stud and the guys hunted their asses off.
@@robert4th100 There is no rule that says you can't have a little luck when bow hunting. First of all to stop that running buck and take a shot that quickly is extremely difficult. Have you ever had a buck jump the string? They're so fast they can duck under your arrow faster than you can say AHEM er .... and if it didn't die from the fall he'll lay down and die with some time. Congratulations, great video!
@@jonmaakestad6688nobody said it wasn’t difficult, nobody said a buck can’t jump the string. He simply stated he thinks the fall off the ledge is what killed that buck and honestly I think it’s what killed that buck as well. That shot placement was extremely back and that would have been an extremely difficult tracking job and may even been impossible track job. I’d say he was extremely lucky in this hunt.
Unbelievable camera work, great shots of close ups.. What a deer to have a chance to harvest it..congratulations guys it's not easy as you make it look..
What a clinic on GQ. To be so close to a giant everyday and maybe not see him. Ultimate chess match and it seemed you guys were ahead the whole way! And to be God be the glory! Awesome!
That's immensely studly congratulations from a hunter who knows what it takes to get big deer to live and breed on an available piece of property. We now know how hard it is to get others on the same page..
I feel a bit better now. I had exactly the same thing happen with a branch on the biggest buck I've ever shot at (had a video of it and had plenty of pictures of the buck, was a 130" buck which is big for where I hunt). After I shot and heard it doink off I realized what happened. In the moment I never saw the branch.
got lucky enough to watch 2 videos from midwest in a row where the deer was shot pretty far back lol might be time for some more target practice, nice deer though!
That buck has Mulie Hybrid traits. People say that whitetail and mule deer don't or cannot interbreed......I beg to differ. That's like saying that a cockier spanial can't be bred with a beagle. BS! My older brother killed a hybrid in Northern Mo. It was a big 10 pt. that would have been an 8 pt. if it weren't for the split tine forks. Anybody know how mules are born? You breed a horse with a donkey and you get a hybrid Mule which are sterile.
Why on Earth would you be crashing the antlers (not horns) together when the buck is looking right at you?? lol No wonder he left after initially being interested!
Just to confirm the previous comments, yes that was the worst shot you've ever seen in a hunting video. Horrible attempt at a decent harvest, but thankfully there was a cliff close by that the deer could run off of to finish the job. Congrats to the old timer that harvested his first buck!
What's with the background music - it ruins hunting vids. If I wanted to hear music I would have searched for street musicians. But I searched for hunting videos and instead, everyone thinks they have to have some annoying music blaring. I can't hear or understand most of what the hunter says. Just film the hunt and give it to us as is.
First buck at 77 years old........thats very cool! Its never too late to start!!
He might not have just started. My pap hunted for years and never got a buck.
The desperate yell to stop him before you shot was badass, i cant imagine the feeling, beautiful buck
That is so Awesome , Mr. Cole got his first Buck at 77!!👍👍
Yall and the drurys the only hunting i can stand to watch anymore so keep up the good work
What a monarch, and some fast action ,no margin for error, u are blessed...........
Awesome buck pop, big guy for sure. Congratulations

Thanks for watching!

I agree
I thought the exact same. That deer doesn't die that fast with that shot placement even if it hit the artery in the leg

Beautifl buck. Job well done..
Awesome Lee and Josh
Awesome footage!! Love Midwest whitetail you guys put in the work and it pays great stuff
Without a doubt the best hunting videos out there
Thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed it.
Now I’m off to the woods myself!!
The big buck is awesome, but I enjoyed grandpa's first buck a whole lot more. That is what its about right there.

Enjoy watching these hunts where the hunter still misses from time to time. Just goes to show they're still human.

🙄
Awesome story! Congratulations that is one tank of a buck
Good for you, GUY!
Buck of a lifetime. One of those moments i can only dream will happen.
Surprised the giant buck didn't go nocturnal because of the hunting pressure you guys put on him.
Unbelievable buck! Really beautiful! Congratulations

The shot never killed the deer he jumped down it to the ditch and broke his neck 😂😂😂
Wonderful sight seeing your first piled up on the ground. I’ll never forget mine. Congrats my dude.
Shot didn't kill him the fall did 🤣
What kind of limb mount is that you’re using for your Sony A7iii?
Congratulations to you , what a great buck !
você e rápido no gatilho que ótimo desparro foi show 👏👏👏👍
got lucky enough to watch 2 videos from midwest in a row where the deer was shot pretty far back lol might be time for some more target practice, nice deer though!
Awesome buck! I wonder if he broke his neck when he crashed into that creek bottom/ditch. Anyway, congrats!
Young or old the first is always cool to see! Now he’s addicted
At 77 awesome sauce
That branch isn't gonna make it eve 10 yards.
If i shot a big buck in that spot, with my luck. I’ll never find him.
He prolly wouldn’t have the deer just made a bad jump and killed his self
Looks like you guys need some predator control hunts. Great buck and Congratulations!
Good hunt on that big 204 in monster
Amazing shot. Congrats…that stud stopped on a dime…for a sec.
I’ve never seen anyone move so much in the tree

lee needs a permeant translator
No crap. “Deer ran over dare. Deers like food. Maybe we see da deerzs.”
You need spell check
Thats one unbelievable rack! Lee reminds me of a dude i..used to hunt n fish with.
Why on Earth would you be crashing the antlers (not horns) together when the buck is looking right at you?? lol No wonder he left after initially being interested!
Surprised he even saw that deer as much as he fumbles around. That’s crazy. Tie them antlers together
Deer move well in rain not storms but just a regular rain
It happens man shooting in brush..it hapoens...that's hunting
blew his guts out, he wasnt goin far, awesome episode!!
Oh, he was going far if it wasn't for that cliff he jumped off of, I mean crashed 25 yards away. 🙄🙄😬😬
That’s so awesome to be 77 years old and killed your first buck. Congratulations
I'm confused here,,but no way that hunter is 77 that shot the buck that ran and fell down that ravine.
Bet you cant pull that arrow out of tree. O well thats ' hunting. I have done that too WC
What a deer! The rest is, well I'll leave it alone.
high fence?
The headline is misleading. I wanted to watch a 77 year old hunter succeed.
It is absolutely inside of this episode Stanley!
Those 2 thumbs down guys must be the sitka team. Their ratings tanked the last 2 days.
Where's Bill Winke??
What did GQ score?
203
Jared are you and lee saved?
Amen sure hope so
Guy are you saved?

When he stopped that buck and got a arrow in him I screamed so loud I woke my girlfriend up. I was even pumped. Can imagine be in the tree
Ya..that deer died when it's neck broke falling in that ravine. Only reason you gor him
what an animal?
We want Bill Wink running this show. NOT SPARKS
Well bill sold it lol and has a different show now
Coyote control!!
What a terrible shot on that buck. The shot was really rushed. But at least it was recovered.
Super lucky that deer broke his neck! Awesome way to end the chess match though

Poor deers all they hear is high way and traffic
the reason that buck walked away was because brainless kept saying " hu, hu, hu?
Big ol bait pile in the shot didn't know baiting was legal
So lucky. Awful shot.
Bl
It ain't "sport" if the other side can't shoot back. Hunters are snipers.
Steven feinberg you don't know the meaning of hunting
Sport? Looks like grocery shopping to me.
Great video can't wait till bow season opens again.
