Hunter’s like him are the reason why I still keep hunting
which state is this video filmed at?

Facts
This shows how hunters are one of the best things for our environment
Couldn't agree more!
REAL hunters!!
Anybody who doesn't agree with this clearly has never Hunted because Hunters are the biggest conservationists that I've ever met they care more about the environment in the animals and it's all about the procurement of meat it's an understanding that they're taking a life for food . I don't think I've ever met a hunter that was just a killer
People that argue against hunting are ignorant. These keyboard warriors that want to end hunting have never had a true intimate moment with nature. I’d be willing to bet that a lot of them have never set foot in the depths of the woods. We respect the lives we take and are grateful for the sacrifice.
whaich state was this video filmed at
i wasnt expecting to get sad when i clicked on this. but as a hunter, i agree with your decision 100%. good for you man
The sad thing for me is that I’ve never killed a deer
@@jacksonmeads1161 your day will come eventually it is not an easy task
The fact he got sad over that shows hunters do care
Boston Voorhies we really do man. Every animal we harvest we appreciate very much
Why didn't he not kill him them 😂😂 lol
amazing ethical experience,, what hunting is about ,,awesome job
Then they wouldn't hunt them
@@christianblazers959 it waas suffering
Megatron bred a lot of does,,may be there is a Megatron Jr growing up on your farmstead
Minitron 😂
Construction Specialist 😂
starscream...
Hey remember Megatron always came back in the movies so?
He deserves a 🏅....purple heart even
It's like TH-cam knows the start of the season is right around the corner by recommending this to me
Kevin Michael same, I’m soooooo ready for opening day
Me to wacky tacky it will be my first season hunting rifles
Kevin Michael same
They do, its called an algorithm
Here yet again
This whole story brings so many emotions. Excitement, pain, joy, relief just hard to put into words how this season must have felt for him. Crazy how things happen sometimes
Makes you wonder if he fought with Megatron.
Thats what i was wondering man.
Scott Morey 100% what I as thinking
Same thoughts from Wisconsin!🤔
Would be really ironic if that is what happened.
I was thinking the same thing
I know this video is two years old and I have watched it several times. You can literally feel the emotions of Colton through the camera.
Blessing in disguise man. Even though you don't get to shoot your target buck you still found him and you helped another one out.
Absolutely. Thanks for the comment.
You avenged Megatron while simultaneously putting a beautiful creature out of a world of pain. What an amazing story! Congrats man!
I was hunting a 190" deer for 3 years. Tons of pics. Never saw him until last year. Finally had him at 21 yds last year with absolutely no shot. 4 days later he got taken out by a car. Took the wind right out of my sails. It sucks but it happens. You still ended up with a great deer, so congrats.
You did the right thing with the injured deer, my compliments and thank you.
Hell of a story! My condolences on Megatron. I felt your pain when you found him. Much respect for you sir.
What an emotional season. Being a hunter you went through the highs and lows of what it is all about. Great decision to put that warrior out of his painful future of survival. Congratulations wish you many more blessed and safe seasons brotha
Way to go, even if was a smaller buck, we as hunters as you said, conservationist, have a duty to put cripples out of their misery! In some cases it means burning your buck tag, in my case I was issued another tag by the warden. Great story and footage, thanks!
I applaud u for putting that buck out of his misseory and not letting him suffer
Great video. Great story. Colton I dig your stories a lot. You’re an fantastic outdoorsman. Appreciate your passion and respect for the deer you hunt.
Super Adam that’s my name also btw today’s my birthday
This is why I love hunting and how cool this guy is
I hate it when people call hunters like me heartless I love the deer where I hunt anyone who thinks this go on a hunt with someone them droping that prize buck theres such a wave of emotion going over you my heart broke when I saw megatron
Ya everytime I hunt or fish I cross myself with my finger and say may God have your soul
He really wanted to cry over that poor old guy there. Much respect sorry for the loss man. Glad to see that you pushed on and got another big guy.
That’s terrible that he died like that but it was almost like he knew to fall out in the place you made for him it’s crazy how things like this happen
Injured deer always go to water or old creek beds
Wish there were more hunters like this guy.
Your a good man for one not giving up and not letting that buck suffer
That's an amazing story. I'd love to see them mounted together on the wall.
If it was me I’d personally not mount megatron for I didn’t kill him and instead just butcher him
I dont know why but this is somewhat emotional.....he has been after this buck forever and he finally got him on September 11 2019!! This just might be a hunter thing but this is amazing! Great job man!!! Once in a life time buck!
Thank you we need more people like you forsaving the animal
nice shot. i'm very glad you put that buck out of his lingering misery, i've never wanted to see a shot hit true in a video as much as i did that one!!!
Maybe he killed megatron and Broke his jaw in the process
kevin easton no he definitely did
These animals actually fight to the death like that? I'm not a hunter I know nothing about wild game.
Zach Ryan Yes
@@SpitFactsAndThenDontReply all the time, it's sad bc usually one ends up very wounded and in pain
Good thing he put it out of it’s misery then let it suffer
I’ve watched this so many times never gets old
What a great video!!! The emotional roller coaster of finding your target dead, then having an encounter with an injured deer that probably was the culprit...phewww...I can’t say this could have ended any better imo.. Keep up the great job guys!!!!
This honestly brought tears to my eyes
It’s so sad to see animals in pain
Always nice to see another respectful hunter good stuff bud
Man what a loss. Great story and glad you honored him on your wall, well done. Truly a great animal that was special to you. Hats off to Andy for giving you that push to get back up in the tree, I think a lot of conservation sportsman have experienced the downs of being a hunter and need that extra push sometimes. Thanks for sharing.
That was seriously the best hunting video I've ever watched. A story of a good chase of a certain buck and the heartache of losing him. That is outstanding hunting morals to take the wounded deer out his misery. Y'all keep doing what you do best!
Thank you Lawrence! We have some more really good hunt breakdowns coming up!
This stuff makes me heart broken. In reality, hunters have the biggest hearts out there!
True outdoorsman. Gave that deer the most ethical/clean kill it deserved. Like you said, it probably wouldn’t have made the winter. You did that deer a favor. And also love how you still mounted the other one. I would have done the same thing!
I'm guessing that the one you shot with the broken jaw is the one that possibly killed Megatron. Two bucks fighting over does... It's very rare that one will die and the other will walk away with no injuries. The feud is over for now - until two more young bucks compete over does... Broken jaw and Megatron were legends... Thanks for showing that you care!
My respect for you is through the roof!!! Really shows your character taking out and animal that is suffering!!
Never know he maybe the buck that had gored Megatron and got his jaw broke
You never know!
Welp let’s hope so. The little turd..
My seasons open this weekend for bow
I'd be willing to put money it
What does gored mean because I dont know
This was one of my favorite videos from you guy's yet!!! Awesome job man
Thanks Kyle! More great hunt breakdowns coming soon!
Optimus prime is walking around somewhere. Set your sights on him.
😂
Shock wave ...
Big Daddy Rabbit lol exactly
Or Bumble-Buck🤣😂🤣😂
Beautiful animal, but what’s even more beautiful is your respect you have for the outdoors and for megatron.
You know that's probably the buck that killed megatron with the busted jaw megatron probably busted his jaw when they was fighting
Yes
I absolutely love this video very emotional for any bow hunter and what a great way to end a season and make that choice to harvest an injured buck congratulations
You are a real good example for every hunters ! Hope people learn from you ! 💙 🦌
I love your passion and respect for the deer! Need more people like you around. You rock!
Very thankful you made the choices you’ve made. You sir are the kind of person I’d love to hunt with, because we think alike.
Good story!! Thanks for taking us along.
Dennis Blake Wilson @ really cool
I can’t even imagine losing a deer like that. I even got teared up seeing him like that. So glad I’ve got to experience the thrill and passion of hunting with my family, especially my dad and brother!
Watching this video makes you feel like going hunting I want to see it Megatron shake dish deal for me you and maybe he did God works in mysterious ways
Much respect for taking down that wounded buck.
Beautiful story! Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed the post. Thank you for sharing. Nice to see solid foundation and entertainment working together.
What an incredible experience man, sometimes things just work out.
A few years late but man I just want to let you know how happy it makes me to see good hunters still out there. Class act to put him out of a life of misery.
Keep on doing what u r doing man. You are a great hunter, with tons of respect.
Great story! I have only been hunting for 9 years now and haven't had a deer yet with that much time and emotion invested. Had to have been hard. I just got my PB last season . 300lb 9 pointer, he's my first mount.
He did the right thing and harvested a beautiful buck by doing so
Techniclly he got both... he got a salvage tag.
There isn't an animal rights activist in the world that cares for deer the way that a true hunter does. It's a hell of a thing. I can't tell you how many times I've sat there and thought about the depths of ending a life with my bow. Hunting is one of the most respectful ways you can honor wildlife. EVERY being on this earth must take life in order to live. It's the respect for the animals that set us apart. Watching this video, I felt every emotion that this guy was going through.
You sir are a great all around guy, with a big heart! I thoroughly enjoyed this video, very touching.
This has to be the most amazing Hunt video I have ever watched. Truly amazing..!!!
Damn it sir, I'm sorry u lost ur buck. Made my eyes tear up bad. God bless u.
My respects to this man this is an amazing way to show your sport
I can only imagine how it felt finding Megatron. Was it hard to keep hunting?
Yes. Colton had a touch time but his good buddy Andy Orr kept pushing him. That's what hunting buddies are for!
great video, what an amazing story..at least you were able to go out after you were down about finding him, and help another deer out and end his pain.
Granted, i have never been hunting. It's something i would love to try though. I tip my hat to this man. 3 years, he dedicated his life to find this buck. And after all that time, to see it gored and laying dead by the pond he built. That is down right heart breaking.
@Sonic Rainboom Ask someone that you know that hunts to take you. We all start somewhere.
Making a fine hunter bro. Need more like you. Im stepping up into older class deer in South Al. Nothing more majestic than a Monarch buck in his kingdom. Enjoyed!
Much love and respect brother. I admire hunters like yourself.
What a great story and video! Excellent camera work and narration.
Man, why did I get so emotional over this video?! First video I've ever seen on your channel.
Deer...story....incredible!!! Thanks fellas!
Thanks! More to come...
I love the passion for hunting and what you did was an amazing thing!
I love your channel! I was so happy to do my first review on your extinguisher call! Thanks Brian for the help!
I feel so bad he work so hard 1 like is one prayer for Megatron
Austin Beutler stfu
Man it's heart breaking for a buck of that nature to die that way and all the hard work and sleepless nights thinking about him.As a hunters we can all relate to your story and thanks for sharing them with us.You did the right thing putting that buck out of his misery.
Only 150, give me a break!!!
def not more than that....clearly you arent real good at field judging lol its only a 9 point bud
yall are crazy. id walk that deer (if it wasn’t in bad shape) all day.
on public land you wouldnt let that boy walk😂😂
not me atleast lol
Right!! Lucky to get a shot on a 140 in a lifetime! Been hunting almost 20 years, seen plenty of "big bucks." Always 20-60 yards out of range. In my opinion, the antlers taste like shit 😉
Very good video. Really appreciated hearing your respect for the quarry.
thanks for taking him.
Good thing you did there, he was in bad shape and hurting, god bless you my friend. Nice deer too!
Such is nature... Hell of a life. Godspeed, Megatron. You're a good man. He isn't the 1st big buck, won't be the last.
My upmost respect goes out to you and hunters like you. Keep doing it right, brother.
I felt your pain and the joy. Wow. What a video. Its almost bringing a tear to my eye. I love hunting
And that's one heck of a spot you made there!
Good call on taking the shot on the broken jaw buck RESPECT
Love the respect for the deer man thank you for respecting the wild life and no poching that’s the reason I keep hunting
Awesome story. True passion for hunting
Although that is not the caliber of buck you wanted to harvest, i as a hunter appreciate you harvesting that buck. It was clear he wasn’t going to be able to eat or barely drink, you did the right thing sparing your tag. Great harvest, great shot!
Awesome story! Shows how hunters care about the animals we pursue. Great job getting a story on video that hunters can all relate to.
mad respect to you sir
Thks for having empathy for the buck
That’s inspirational keep up the work and never think of quitting no matter what!
The work he did to bring in deer to the area brought in so much life. Deer, birds, squirrels, insects. Pure improvement of the environment. The respect and mercy you showed that injured buck is amazing. Had you taken him he would have had a very slow and painful death over the winter. May the Hunting God's always smile upon you.
Wow my emotions went 4 different directions.. great story to a great season!!
one of the best hunting videos I have seen
I am so sorry for what you had to endure and TRUE hunters like yourself feel the true pain of it. On top of that you were put in the position to put that deer out of its misery and stop it's pain. You sir are an ETHICAL hunter indeed. God Bless and be well my friend. Congrats on your deer sir.
Compassion brings good management. The best thing that could have happened for this one. This is right, on every level!!
👍👍👍
I feel your pain bro that would have shook me to my core too after a 3 year hunt
This gives me a new found respect for hunters.
True hunter and sportsman...salute brother!
Taking the life of an animal is an intense emotional experience (or at least it should be). This story put a lump in my throat just hearing it I can't image experiencing it in real life.
