Incredible really, ive never seen another concert like that before or since.

But apparently they ended up using the first take anyway! lol Glad we got to hear it twice though!!!

I feel your emotions. I only heard this version last year on the radio. It was 9am February 13th 2021 and my husband and I were on our way to his sister's house to join family (during covid restrictions) to wait for the hearse carrying his 53 year old sister and take her to her funeral. We looked at each other and wept. I held my husband's hand and said we need to be strong for the rest of the family now. 💜

Shows that Elton John is a true pianist and professional, to be able to play another person's song, in pitch as the person who wrote and sung it (Joel), even though he sings in a completely different pitch normally. I would never thought of this being played as a straight duet on two pianos; and the fact that they are different pianos and be able to keep to each others time and pitch. True musicianship and rare to see.

Although I have seen Billy Joel 6 times (the last time at Hyde Park on 7th July 2023) and I have seen Elton 3 times, the concert tour with them both performing together at Wembley’s old stadium was my biggest disappointment as Billy was unwell and had to pull out on the day. Fortunately the night was saved by a tremendous virtuoso performance by Elton who carried the whole night by playing both his own and Billy’s songs. Quite a few people in the queue turned and left but he was amazing and did everyone who stayed proud, especially when he moved everyone from the cheaper seats to the nearer rows. Billy is a great performer but on that night Elton played his heart out and really win my respect!
These two are 2 of the very few and greatest singer/ piano player and song writer Artists to ever play. As a piano player, I aspire to play like both of them have learned from each of their own uniqueness and style. I love both of their special artistic techniques to the piano. Both of them are of the very best!!!
Too bad 'Billy' is such a pain in the ass, no longer recording because he is no longer a happy man! It's his way at being vindictive towards the fans! 'Brinkley' dumped him, so that's why he stopped recording! Yes, & she even brags about it! Go figure, so no 'Billy' you were never doing what you loved, because if you were you would still be doing so! Go crawl back under the rock! And that's coming from some one who was your biggest fan! What a huge let down you turned out to be! And the worst thing about it, you don't care! News Flash, NEITHER DO I ANY LONGER! The last time I saw you was during 'The River of Dreams' tour! It was time number 8 I saw you live! Go figure, Another one bites the dust! GO AWAY!

Sounds like an amazing time that you will never forget.😊
Ein unglaublich guter Song der viele Menschen verbindet, wie man hier sieht !!!! SPITZE und einfach geil, könnte ich stundenlang hören ❤❤❤❤❤
These two are 2 of the very few and greatest singer/ piano player and song writer Artists to ever play. As a piano player, I aspire to play like both of them have learned from each of their own uniqueness and style. I love both of their special artistic techniques to the piano. Both of them are of the very best!!!
This is amazing! The two best pianists together! I have to add: I love Elton's hair here. He finally mastered his look! It's confident and casual.
It's a really good song. Also this combo is amazing.
What a great performance! Two amazing artists together, singing from the heart. It doesn''t get better than this.
GO AWAY!
I am a fan of both Elton John and Billy Joel, and this video makes me smile.
A wonderful combination!
This may have been the last time Billy sang this song in the original key. Brings back great memories.
He sang it in the original key until 2003 or sometime after.
These two gentlemen, legends, have long had the greatest backup bands and orchestras in the industry.. always magic, the music. What a brew, these two. Wow!

Elton and Billy, two awesome ,talented and gifted men performing this great song together , it can't get any better than that is right!
THIS IS TOO ICONIC FOR ME TO HANDLE
They both seem so happy to be there playing this song together, it's really a bittersweet song but they are both playing it cheerfully like they are just having a great time.
This is amazing! 2 legendary singers and piano players performing together
Epic.
In one word the perfect description and a complete understatement. In truth, the English language doesn't contain words to adequately describe this performance.
"Piano Man" always makes me hopeful, I don't know why but this song motivates me . I feel little bit a sentiments in my heart and my mind is full of positive too. This is magic song
I absolutley love these 2 guys. Wrote some amazing songs. Great singers. Would be on bucket list to meet these 2
It is astounding. That way that Elton John makes this song his own. It is astounding
I remember back in the 1970s when Elton and Billy were doing their thing. Always hoped they would join forces and perform together. And so it came to pass. Fantastic.
