Good having you back in N.C. Yeti, and showing us these almost unreal shots of the flood ravaged Asheville. It's truly unbelievable what the force of nature did to that community. So very sad.
@@lisafollowingthemagic yes this is so sad, but you what is really sad? Outer government….for not helping get this mess back to some semblance of normalcy! Contact your government officials!
Thank you for doing this video. I live on the river just east of here and we are still trying to rebuild our home but so many of our neighbors have nothing left and it is heartbreaking.
Hello Christy. My heart goes out to you and your community. 🙏🏻 Seeing the flood damage in person sobering experience. God bless you my friend. Thanks for watching.
@HitchHikingYeti Thank you. It has been devastating, but I'm still so grateful that we have our lives. Everything else is just stuff. God has been so good to us through this, and our community will build back and be better than ever. Thank you for all you do, I watch so many of your coast videos on repeat because when we're not down there, I miss it! ❤️
Thanks for posting the update. I’m local to the AVL area and I posted a video not long ago about my aid runs. This needs to be in people’s vision so that this area gets the help that it needs over the time that it’s going to take. The news is not doing us any favors.
We some supplies up there. I also watched a bunch of videos and that whole area of the arts and then down to black mountain to lake lure. We have stayed in all of that so when it happened we sent some supplies and money up there. Thanks for taking us through no one really would have thought. Even parts of Henderson ville was completely under water in the low lying areas. We stayed in a rental recently and all the roads were washed away all we saw was dirt road patches and one way roads due to the roads washing out
I am planning on a quick day trip to Lake Lure area in the coming weeks to show the progress there. If travel is possible I end my video in Hendersonville.
I am just so heart broken at the amount of devastation that happened to this & surrounding areas. It will take years for the areas to rebound. There are so many great stories that have come out but just exponentially more sad stories. So many people let down by insurance companies, government (federal, state, local), and greedy company owners. So many missing and probably never to be found.
SAD 😢 praying, 🙏 praying 🙏 the people are able to restore their villages + towns. Someone said here on Ytube there are 40 different villages + towns destroyed 🙏
That sounds correct. I know the northern mountain areas got hit hard too. I have friends that live in the New River area that flooded. And not to mention Lake Lure was destroyed close to Chimney Rock.
I just subbed 👍+ set bell 🔔 Thank you Sir, please keep us updated as media isn’t telling us anything. I’m from Florida 34 years and experienced Hurricanes 🌀 but nothing like what you all have gone through 😢 The POWER OF THE WATER WAS HORRIFIC. Also someone here on Ytube said there were 3 different dams released, or water would have flooded above?
I do know that the rivers were already in a flood stage before Helene hit. We had heavy rains days before. I don’t know much about the dams. I have heard all kinds of conspiracy theories as you can imagine. Thank you for watching. Have a good day.👍
Yes the French broad River surrounds Baltimore estate when u get time please do the area of Biltmore outlet area I usually stay on that side would like to know how there faired. Biltmore was spared because of the elevation it was on.
I drive a truck for a demolition company from Johnson City, Tennessee. We cleaned out the restaurant called Cava in the Biltmore village area. I believe at least 2/3 of everything will have to be demolished and rebuilt.
They have all been here, many times. You have to understand that the priority list is massive... The restoration of water, for a city of 95,000 people, was priority 1, followed by the restoration of power. Just east, half a mile, from that bridge in Biltmore is a power substation that had to be completely rebuilt. There are numerous bridges and roads still being worked on. I live here. The amount of work that has been done is significant. There is still much to be done.
Asheville 💪! Keep our friends in a Western North Carolina in your prayers.

Thousands of lives lost, survivors losing their homes and the state taking what is left of their property. Very sad.
PermaPastures had independent water testers…the rivers were like battery acid so be careful
Thanks for information.
Also the closest McDonald's to the hospital... I'm Spruce Pine...
