  • Back exercises will help you tone and strengthen your upper and lower back as well as improving your Arabesque. This series of back exercises will also help you find stability and correct posture, as we will be working in oppositions to encourage the muscles to achieve their full range of motions as well as engaging those others that help our overall body stability.

    I have never cursed this much in a seemingly calm exercise

  • @liliawolf1621

    i actually pushed through and did it twice! I'm on a journey to try and improve a lot in my strength in all areas of my body for dance because I feel super behind at 16 years old since I have brittle bones disease and have to take a lot of time off each year due to injuries. I'm trying to improve a lot before I audition for colleges next year and I do one if not two of your videos per day! They are super helpful and I'm hoping that I notice an improvement in my dancing soon. Thanks for all you do!

    i thought i was gonna hate this ( i usually hate anything to do with back exercises....which is probably why my arabesque is so low) but I actually really like it. It was hard and my back is sore rn, but it's a good type of sore (kinda like how your abs feel after a bunch of core exercises). I'm going to combine these exercises with the ones from your other video "Ballet workout. how to improve your arabesque". I hope I'll see some results :)

    Wow, I can barely lift my chest off the floor… I’m going to do this every single morning until I can do it with ease. I will be coming back with an update. Mark my words…

    • @chloemaria14
      @chloemaria14 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Update?

    • @sabrinatscha2554
      @sabrinatscha2554 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve made some minor improvements. I can breeze through this exercise now, but I think I might need to up the anti a bit. I can definitely get my chest off the floor now. It was very difficult for about the first week and I had to be very careful not to injure myself. My overall mood, has improved and I’m not sure if it’s brain chemistry or just the fact that I’m actually sticking to something for once, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that it’s probably both 🙂
      I haven’t seen any visual improvements, yet but I think that I would need to lose about 10-15lb first, which is another one of my year’s goals.
      I definitely feel stronger and I’m going to keep working at it. One month in, the new year is here and I am feeling positive.

    • @chloemaria14
      @chloemaria14 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sabrinatscha2554 congrats! That’s great! Progress is progress no matter how big or small, and yours seems to be pretty big! wish you the best.

    • @sabrinatscha2554
      @sabrinatscha2554 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you!
      I should probably emphasize that I’m a little bit worse off than most women in my age bracket and have to do everything within the bounds of my physical therapy, so progress would likely be a lot quicker for most. It took me almost 2 weeks before I could finish the entire routine from beginning to end without having to rest. Never give up, just because improvement is slow-going. For me, just feeling more coordinated is good enough to keep going, but I’m stronger and happier, too. It’s almost 12:00 pm here and I’m about to dive again.

      I don't know if you want my advice, as I'm not Alessia, but I used to have this problem. My advice is to work on your leg muscles and core. For example, try squats, lunges and crunches. And your english is fine. I can understand it. Good luck on your ballet! :)

    Oh, gosh, that is hard work! Good decision to put the hardest exercise (well, I find it so - that lift the arms together in fifth is just horrible!) first, because once you've done the routine once, you know this is the worst you're going to feel! Easier if you really concentrate on squeezing your butt..
