When I bought my 99 new, I thought it was huge. Little did I know what the current generation 4runners make it seem like a small sporty car. I have both a 4rd and 5th gen.

I am the original owner of a 3rd gen 1999 Toyota Limited 4Runner. I love mine so much, it’s getting repainted and will be brought back to brand new specs.

As a pandemic project, I am doing the exact same thing, except I am pulling off all the body trim so I can repair some rust. The running boards came off also (for good) Looks much better without.

You did an amazing job on this video. Well spoken and detailed. I have a 1997 in Red and an '01 Glacier Metallic Blue. I agree that the 3rd Generation 4Runner is a vehicle that anyone interested in a rugged and highly competent vehicle with massive amounts of aftermarket support, this is the SUV to own.

I love my 4runner... I have 260,620 miles on it. I don't know if I should give her up because her mileage is so high but I have deep loyalty to my 4runner that I want to be with her when her time is up. 😓

@@solidsnake8331 dude my 1996 4runner has 350,000 miles and she's running just as strong as when it came out of the factory keep the oil filled and fresh and this SUV is indestructible.

The rear diff lock was just an option. You could get it on any 4WD SR5 or Limited Model. It was offered only from 1996-2000. I have it on my 1998 SR5 4WD. You could also get leather on the SR5, but you didn't get the power seats. You still had lumbar support. Wood accents were available, but they looked terrible.

i have a problem with mine, i dont know if normal or not considering the year of the truck, but mine is very "jumpy" i mean when i m in a gravel road with some ups and downs you can feel every hole of the road, or even when you are driving on a normal street if you pass over a hole it feels like a hit, every mechanic when they see my truck says that is in perfect condition, but i m not sure! i m using 30 psi on my wheels
