- Follow along as I diagnose and repair this 2012 Ford F650 with a Cummins ISB engine. Previous mechanic had already replaced the EGR valve. Truck came in with WGR system faults.

I’m actually in school to become a Diesel Mechanic so I love watching theses videos.
Glad you like them
How long to be a diesel mechanic?
I've been working at Volvo trucks dealer as spares department for a while. Made a switch now to work as a mechanic. You are still young, I give you few pieces of advice, wear personal protection. Gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection are must. Also, when changing dpf cartridges, wear proper mask. Don't destroy your body, with chemicals and bad ergonomics. :) Seen too many mechanics retire early, by destroying their bodies. 😮
@@ifgezroxy thank you for the advice I really appreciate it.
I did learned the importance of wearing proper PPE when I got a piece of metal in my eye and got a rust ring lol.
Why is so hard to find someone that have this kind of skills!!
I have been in couple of places and they haven a rip of

What about checking and cleaning the commonly plugged “especially with cooler failure”pressure sensor ports?
Cummins egr coolers are garage. Always finding coolant leaks with the egr cooler.
Love the videos, 6 pack on me. ❤
Thanks!!! 😀
Because is the best engine
on the medium duty trucks can you do EGR deletes? I know for light duty trucks, like the rams you can do the deletes on the 6.7 diesel, not sure if you can do it on the medium duty?
Could you make a video on your tool box? And what tools you have?
People also have no idea they have ford semi tractors/trucks that came with any kind of engine you wanted from the factory. Just like any other big truck a ford could have came with a Cat, cummins, detroits can all be in a ford.
Love your content where is your shop located
I have an electrical issue on my kenworth t680
Paccar engine.
Every time i turn on my ac my check engine light turns on. For some reason it trigers accelerator pedal
Code (spn 91)
I want one 😅
What seems kind of sad about this one is that it looks like an imt body on a service truck… 🤔
I feel like the owner mechanic should have caught this unless it’s a shop truck for you guys or a bigger company who didn’t have the staff to work on it. Either way, Good work man.
This one was a bucket truck if I remember correctly, or a digger.
The two bolts on the back of that EGR cooler can be rough.
Yessir. Especially when it’s all rusty and crusty.
I have a 2019 International 4300 series with the Cummins engine and a Eton transmission automatic 7-speed with 190,000 miles and 4,600 hours on the engine. It runs fantastic but my only concern is when I go up a long hill my truck struggles and runs max 45mph struggling. Is that normal or do I need to ask a mechanic to max out the power in the engine with software?
Little late here, but unless you're pulling a ridiculously steep hill then I'd say you have an issue, do you have any fault codes showing on your dash? I'd bring it into a shop, but for a quick check you could look at your air filter ( don't just trust the restriction guage as they can get stuck, actually pull the filter out and bang it on the ground to check if it's dust packed) then check for any boost leaks, ie damage to any of your cac hoses, loose clamps etc, and check the air compressor feed hose as they like to blow near the bends, then using a flashlight look for any signs of soot around the exhaust manifold, turbo mounting face, and egr cooler etc. Any of these things can and will cause a low power issue, could also be a restriction in the fuel system, so check your fuel water separator, and main fuel filters aren't old/ getting restricted. Hope this helped if you haven't already figured something out.
Do car c7 do this?
I have a 2012 Hino. It seems to have lack of power and it won’t regen can help me out 🙏
Start by checking your fueling on engine is the injectors ok not over fuel? (rolling coal) Also air filter not clogged? Egr stuck? Are you using the right oil? Check injector in the dpf.... When you try to regen is the dpf getting hot enough? Hows the noxs sensors reading? hows the dpf pressuse sensor? Also if dpf is to clogged dpf wont regen.... Remember once youve carried out regen you have to replece engine oil and filter.
Hello friend to good video this help from mechanic but your country name
I have problem with isb 6.7....coolant temperature gauge takes 1 hour to move a little bit up, when cold runs cold, when hot outside running on hot side(no overheating) but hot. I changed thermostat and fan clutch, cap, nothing. Turbo works but weak. Do you have idea what could be? Can't figure out 3 months
Have you checked fuel filters?
@@JimmyTheProstitute yeah, I change that often. Temperature dropped and didn't let me do regen, so it put me in derate bc of low temperature
@MarcoNiki I would check your thermostat. Sometimes they can be faulty out of the box. Also delete your emissions its gonna cause a lot of long term issues. Maybe check exhaust brake function (weak turbo problem). Otherwise not sure might save you money to get it looked at.
What’s your coolant temp showing on data PID. The data temp is vital for running performance and even won’t regen until engine is up to temp. May use a laser thermometer on your hoses and at thermostat to check for accuracy
Love the videos! Just starting my TH-cam channel and it will be about mobile breakdown repairs and situations. Do you use anything for your shorts editing? Editing is a pain lol
What if it’s not leaking anti-freeze ? Can you do a simple clean then ? @AngeloZ32
Yes
Use the wrong oil and you will case these problems also
Make more frequent videos god dammit!
Sweet. Not the taste for sure😅
