@@andrewhuang I only saw the last few words in the title, so it looked like a threat of violence. Then I thought it said "I can," so it looked like braggadocio about your limitless producer prowess. #LPP Either way, I'm here for it! 🍿😸 #820

For anyone that's curious the technology is called "concentrated solar power". It's more expensive than photovaltaic solar panels, but might be easier to add power storage to. Essentially you just have to keep a hot thing hot. They also might run by heating up molten salt which then is used to boil water. I'm guessing Andrew was heading to California or Arizona.
It melts salt as a conducting element, and they use it to heat the water, beacuse heating water with this much of an energy "directly" would cause a lot of trouble
I think the lights at 5:01 (What are these?) are solar-energy towers. basically its a tower which surrounded by mirrors that point to the top of the tower, where salt (if I am correct), is heated and so powering the station.
Wow ! Android release is soon? Here you make some people happy Andrew! Nice work! This app deserves to be on all platforms and this is a really good news for Android users, thank you and your team! 🧡🧡
This is not possible in android because android doesn't support real time audio sample processing. I mean android has a severe latency compared to Apple phones, tablets etc. First, android phone companies need to make their phones with a real time audio sample prossesing. Then it will be possible. Otherwise they won't run apps like this. Said that. Don't ask to Andrew to make his app for android. Instead, ask to samsung to make their phones with real-time audio sampling prossesing like Apple.
@@ronmarek1548 What the actual hoax are you trying to spread rn? Try any DAW on android before jumping to conclusions like that. Android supports real time audio sample processing. Is it instantaneous? No, but it's also not for apple devices, or any device.
The Android platform is notoriously difficult for music app developers. I hope that releases from Flip and Koala samplers are a sign that things are changing… or the programmers have evolved. 😼 Two years ago, Microcenter offered me an invitation to the Cool Kids Table for just $300. I strongly dislike many aspects of the consumer culture enforced by Apple, but I gave it a try. The iOS ecosystem is light-years ahead of Android when it comes to tools for music, especially thanks to their Audio Unit v3 framework. Yet my iPad has even worse file management and backup options than my old Moto G. I can't make music without storage. 😤 That iPad was my primary computer, until it became roadkill two days ago. 🤦🏿♀️ I guess I'm Team Android again. 😭
Your work, your genius, is always such a joy to watch. I know you have your detractors, but great artists all through history did, too. Leave them behind with your sonic booms and embrace the future of music.
When i heard the first beat, without the ambient sample, it really reminded me of Teardrop - Massive Attack, such a sick beat you made on the plane too.
Listening now... Can't believe I somehow missed this song, it's gorgeous. And, yeah, very similar rhythms. Was... teardrops used as a theme song for something at some point? I wanna say one of those "Law and Order" type shows? House! It's House M.D.! I KNEW I recognized that weird chordy thing (harpsichords are cool lol). Man, y'all got some great taste in music. lmao
Watching you make a track in real time is one of the most fun things to watch for me. Especially seeing you create something out of aaall kinds of samples! And the result sounded great!
I can’t even tell you how much I appreciate you disclosing that you developed the app. There’s so many TH-camrs starting side hustles that are constantly plugging them in their videos and because it’s their own company they don’t have to show that it’s sponsored.
I love this video! I spent a whole day once making a 'kitchen noises' drum set with 64 sounds to drop into my drum machine. I ended up using it more than most of my other kits.
I'm glad to see another Flip video, I bought Flip right when I got an iPad Air 4 last year, and I've loved it since. It's one of the best DAWs I've ever used, which is awesome for a mobile app with touch controls.

This reminds me so much of "Water". I loved that song so much even thought it was kinda cheesy. That main chorus melody with your singing was perfect. That skill to just take something and make music out of it is awesome and I can't wait to see more of it.
Hay Andrew, this app is amazing and the closest ive seen to a functioning mobile DAW. Two things I'd change. 1) More than 9 pads/tracks as it's nearly impossible to create a track with just 9 samples. You could do some sort of subfolder system where holding down on one of the pads creates a subfolder with 9 more channels/pads. 2) Automation is really finnicky when working on phones, so more grid locking would be amazing for that. Keep up the good work thanks!! 🙏
Thanks for the inspiration. I really want to try chia pudding now. Also thanks for always being so motivational. Will sample some things with my daughter today. ❤
what are those at 5:00? that looks like a solar farm used to melt salt to store thermal energy to boil water to drive a steam turbine. the movie "Sahara" act 3 takes place in this type of facility
What are those? You ask near the end of the video. Those are concentrated solar power plants. Basically they have a bunch of mirrors all pointed at a tower to shine the sun there, which is used to heat something (lots of different options) to generate electricity .
Yesterday I'd never heard of Chia seeds, and today I've researched how incredible they are for your health and bought a pack from my supermarket. Thank you Andrew 😊
Ohhhh a "old time Andrew" flavor ! I Like that. Very nice beats, it's surprising to see how much life and emotion you can put in your beats, they could be the core of a full track by themselves and not being redundant. Eager to see the next "episode" ;) Take care of yourself brother.
Those glowing towers in the desert you saw from the plane are a type of solar energy plant, an array of solar panels in a ring focus on a large boiler on top of a tower.
I’d forgot I’d even got this app (as I have way too many already) but this is guaranteed to make me use it tomorrow and the next day and… Awesome. Cheers. Lee
I was watching this like "two beats? I know how this goes, Andrew's about to make a beattape or an EP over the course of this video and tell us where we can find it" then it ended and I was like "aww". I know the next part will be worth the wait! Awesome to see you flippin' stuff and making music as always
Ooh, neat. I've wanted a 'light' sampler to maybe start getting into things, without having to go through the rigamarole of importing and sorting onto my computer. Might have to grab Flip when it comes to Android.
I got a hot tip for you. The app should be free. It should be limited To a certain memory size so people have enough to play around but not enough to create huge songs. Maybe like a 4-track. In the 15 years or so of the mobile era I’ve bought maybe three apps total outright. However I’ve bought dozens to start it is free demos that just needed a payment to upgrade to a full version. And I can tell you I’ve been much more willing to spend more money after I’ve been playing with a demo. It would be hard for your developer to find a few ways to limit the full version and make it unlockable. I do know the technical side of selling it out right you just need to upload it to the App Store. But then having an upgrade Apple version means you would not have to have a backend server Checking authentications so maybe it would be best to have a demo app and a pay app.
I’ve used the app a few times. Pretty good, has a huge amount of potential with all the features. The UI is a little complex for me though, I’m slow. 😂
