Little did they know, he played "Loser" while making it look brand new. So impressive
Wow! Great catch
@@VanCough he said it on his tiktok
I'm actually confused because the title says he made something original but the video only shows him proving that anything can be made into music. He didn't really say that it is a brand new. But then again, I didn't really saw the entire episode. So I'm not sure if the title is a click bait or he actually said that he will create something brand new but wasn't shown here in the video.

Talented, handsome, and funny
I love Jimmy's expressions when he excited and surprised at the same time , 😂❤️
You can't just not love Jimmy! His excitement is contagious! So much love, respect and attention shown to his guests! Man is a legend! 🙂

Hahaha I don't know him and already love this guy's pure excitement
I need that 'oh I am not done yet' like confidence.
I love how the band was already on it and and picked up the loop as they transitioned to commercial. These guys right here….
👍🏻 These session bands on TV shows are all super legit top notch musicians. They’re the real deals.
They were because the whole thing was set up before. You can see Charlie does not play on record all the chords and bass notes from the loop (and there is no camera cut during the sequence), which means it was composed before, and so The Roots could definitively listen to the track before.
Even if it's not full improvisation, it's still a fantastic performance from Charlie and The Roots is still a great band.
@@StuckLogo thought I was going mad as I noticed an extra note lol. On the first layer he plays, there is an extra note right before it loops that he definitely did not do, you can see his hand movements. Still very cool to watch though. Love the roots also.
@@JAKE_E_C yeah and thats way to fast putting a kick drum like that, its already in the track it was just muted

Dude is a musical genius!!!
No this show is rehearsed and pre recorded. He’s talented but grow a brain Reshail
LMAO! This is so easy I'm so shocked that people are so amazed by this. Homeless dudes banging on trashcans make better music
If you're a musician and have been practicing notes and tonality for a very long time. This is actually pretty easy. A great musician can hear music in everything, it's like a piece of their own body. But man I didn't expect how good charlie is until now
yeah, it’s always a cool party trick to pull out the garageband lol
Honestly, this guy is so talented. Love the way he created beat. #charlieputh
Ya doyou also love the way it was rehearsed and acted out?? Grow a brain
It's very easy lmao

I have perfect pitch as well, and I’ve been saying the same thing Charlie just said for years! Anything and everything that emits sound has a musical tone/pitch! Some people thought I was nuts. So satisfying to hear a big time musician finally prove it en masse.
love Charlie's reaction when the band starts playing the song

I am amazed at how that bass line just automatically finished the last bars on it self. Sounded amazing. I’m mot saying it was all theatrics, but maybe it was prerecorded right before the show… 😅
It absolutely was :)
Still cool because he probably created the sound before. But a lot was prerecorded
Thank you! Glad someone else seen this!
Yep it definitely was. There were multiple parts that didn't match or were new. Still really cool tho
I was coming here to say the same thing and wondered if anyone else noticed. After a few playthroughs it was clear that this was prerecorded but it was still fun and I've seen his TikToks and they're amazing.
Clearly he's insanely talented but this was all smoke and mirrors.
Obviously it's prerecorded but it should be taken normally right?....cause it's a TV show......they can't suddenly play a wrong thing here which has no melody
I loved how excited Jimmy is while he is doing all these stuffs together hahahaha
2:40-2:45 give me always vibes . Pure talent
I like how the bars just finished themselves and he played just the first few notes
Was thinking the same. Either it was already pre recorded or the video is edited and we didn’t see him record everything in real time…
Thank you! I Thought I was the only one 😂
The guy is still a monster, but that was weird
Someone had to say it lol.
He likely just had the midi and instruments ready, played on the armed tracks and turned on the saved tracks when it was time. It doesn't matter anyway, we all know he can do it. It's a remake of his song "Loser". For the show though, it's a cool bit.
@@Ramkatt thats true. You’re not wrong my brotha. But now we all know jimmy fallon is scripted heh heh..😅😂
This clip is actually an inspiration, my dad is a known dj in the late ninety's to around 2000s and still does gigs now but I've never really held on to types of music for longer than a week, and now after gathering this, and realizing I have connections and equipment through my dad I've shot back into Bandlab, dads handing me down some equipment, and I think I'm actually going for it fr this time.
