    Started working from home in March which was way before the date I planned to actually quit. When I lost my job, I went into complete panic mode because I didn’t know what to do; I didn’t have many clients and my shop was only getting a sale here and there. Then I found your channel which helped me so much with getting organized and setting up systems to streamline my processes. My business is growing slowly but steady and for that I’m truly grateful. Thank you Latasha for sharing all the gems with us 🙏🏾💕

    I started using cold DM’s on LinkedIn consistently about 2 months ago. I try to remember emails I hate to get and do the total opposite. Thanks for the freebie tip and videos. Will definitely be trying!

    If we think in a positive way, those emails are a great learning experience as you said. But seriously, that example is exactly what you shouldn't do. Valuable recommendations as usual, Latasha!

    Hey! Latasha.
    I'm a big fan of yours, i really love all of your videos. I literary watch your past videos i've missed uploaded on years ago like this one.
    I’m a small social media manager who started just a few months ago, and I focus on helping very small business owners. Despite my efforts, I haven’t received any responses so far.
    I’ve spent a lot of time improving my cold emails and follow all the recommended steps, except for personalization using names. Many small business owners don’t have their names listed, so I often have to start with "Hello."
    I don’t know what i'm doing wrong. I hear people get clients but to me it being unrealistic now and frustrating.
    I'm losing all hope 🥺

    Hey Latasha! Sorry, this is unrelated to this video, but I had a question and didn't know where else to go to ask you 😂 Question: How do you determine that a client isn't for you from the discovery call?

    This is a well timed video! Haha I have started building a small list of potential clients to cold email in the coming weeks. I will definitely try to add video to them! Most freelance clients I’ve gotten so far have been through networking.

    Beautiful way to start the video off and mitigate some people's thoughts on what your aim/intent is (well-worded). Great example as well and always a pleasure to simply listen and learn from you and really liked the suggestion of first "offering a compliment." That's definitely a great ice-breaker and segue into what the goal is. Wishing you all the best and two thumbs up on this one!

    I absolutely LOVED this video. Definitely taking a second look at the way I send emails. What would you put in the subject line?
    Not sure if you’ve already made a video on this, but how would you go about going to businesses in person? How would you introduce yourself/pitch yourself etc.?

    • @thelatashajames
      @thelatashajames  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like to keep subject lines short and sweet! Here are some ideas: blog.hubspot.com/sales/sales-email-subject-lines-that-get-prospects-to-open-read-and-respond

    Thank you so much for this video!! I'm a bit on the awkward side, lol, so you giving a concrete example is great. I've just started looking into SEO as a possible side hustle/career change and this sounds like a great way to stand out from the basic pitches that business owners probably get all the time.
    On another note, do you think the success rate of an SEO pitch would've been even higher had they specialized/were passionate about your niche specifically? From an outside view, it appears that all SEO experts kinda do the same thing, so standing out seems difficult.

    I've received a similar email but didn't take it seriously because they didn't address the email to me. It was something like Hi as well. I also found it interesting that they didn't include their own website, so I could take a look at their work. Needless to say, I passed on their services.

    I feel like the only thing worse than getting those cold emails is the cold DMs...they seem even less personalized and more copy-pasted 😬 personalizing it - and like you said, adding a name - can really go a long way! No one likes to be treated as just another row on a spreadsheet 😅

    • @thelatashajames
      @thelatashajames  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep... DMs are usually the worst! 😆
