I have been full carnivore now of over a year. I was keto before that and watched you guys a lot and you really helped me. Now I watch you because I really like you two. I like the people that you are. You have integrity, you're funny, honest and upfront and that's hard to find these days. So I will keep watching you guys and keep giving you a thumbs up! ❤❤❤
I really appreciate when you guys show viral recipes/trends and give your take, tweaks, and opinions. I'm not on TikTok or any other social sites like that so I never hear about any viral trend or recipe until I see you guys try it. I've been looking for recipes to use up all the riced cauliflower in my freezer so I can't wait to try this this weekend. Thank you!
I would try making a double recipe and the flatten it to look like a potatoe pancake. Flip it half way when baking. I bet they will come out crispy and delicious- Luv your channel❤️Hugs
Happy to hear that you are finding more uses for Cottage Cheese. I just made a double batch of the Boiled Egg Hummus which I increased the spices with more garlic, Cumin and an entire lemon for every 7 eggs. So happy that you introduced us to it.❤️❤️
Sounded intriguing but didn’t want to make an entire recipe because I simply wanted to try some for tonight’s dinner. So…I modified the recipe a bit. I started with a packet of a snack steamed cauliflower (Poshi brand) and added about a tablespoon each of cottage cheese and cheddar. (I did mash up the bits and heated it in a dry skillet) Added garlic and more pepper- the packet already has salt & pepper - and a dash of cayenne. Simply fried it as a patty in some bacon grease. It was yummy as a side to my leftover bbq ribs. 😂 My version sounds easy here but I learned a couple of lessons - don’t try to flip too early and don’t use a weight to keep it from shrinking. Really, I should have known better! It tastes good though. 👍🏻
I dry my riced cauliflower on parchment in the oven from frozen. It absolutely works! Extra tip: don't forget the riced cauliflower in the cold oven before you go camping for six days. 😨
What about flavouring it with some toasted gelatin, like Chris Cooking Nashville discovered? Apparently, that's what imparts the roasted root vegetable flavour to keto dishes Also, I wonder if deep-frying them might make them crispier on the outside… gotta try
Today I made carnivore cheese balls - 2 eggs 1/2 cup Pork Rinds (Finely Ground) 1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded) 1/4 cup Mozzarella (shredded) 1/4 cup Parmesan (shredded) 3/4 teaspoon Baking Powder 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Place in the over at 400 for 10-12 minutes. I think it made about 12. So good and very easy. They puffed up to a decent size. It said you can also fry them.
When I took cake decorating lessons 50 years ago, from the most in demand cake bakery in town, we found out the secret to her delicious cake recipe. Unbelievably she used cake mix adding butter extract! I often use it in low carb almond flour baking. Unlike real butter, a little goes a long way.
I'm old school. I grew up eating cottage and still do. Cottage cheese mixed with a few sliced cherry tomatoes, some arugula, and a little blue cheese dressing is my go to high protein light dinner.
What a great idea! Can’t wait to try it. Growing up, tater-tots were my favorite and mom used them in a variety of casseroles (a staple of poor folk like we were.)
You could roll your tot batter into a log like infused butter, in some plastic wrap, then unroll and slice your log into tots. Maybe put the log in the fridge to firm it up (in the plastic wrap) before slicing? That's what I would try to get the perfect tot shape.
I got my Dash multi mini waffle maker and today I made your chaffles for the first time. AWESOME. I made them with only a bit of salt and Italian Seasoning then topped them with Guacamole I bought at Costco. It comes in individual containers of 2 carbs each. I counted 2 caffles and one Guac as a 3 carb lunch and I am satisfied. It's a good day! Love you two.
I kind of wonder if spraying the tots with oil part way through cooking in addition to turning them, would result in crispy texture? This looked really good. If I make them I would cook them longer to hopefully attain that elusive crispy texture. Thank you Emily and Sarah! You are the best! 💜💚🩷💛💜💚🩷💛💜💚🩷
I just went to the grocery store and they were out of cottage cheese, all brands and sizes. I have never seen this before. It is a big store which usually has lots. Is this cottage cheese thing catching on even with non keto or low carb people or is it just a coincidence ?
I cook my cauliflower rice differently: I dump it in a pot of boiling water to parboil it about 1 minute (until it goes back to a full boil), drain it in fine mesh colander and press it with the bottom of a ladle until no more liquid come out. Then I microwave it for 4 minutes. This will get rid of the smell and the moisture. You can add a bay leave and/or slices of ginger to the water also to help reduce the smell. This works for me every time...
Back in 2000, I went on a tour of the Jelly Belly factory. The tour guide said that the buttered popcorn flavor was either you love it or hate it. There was no in between. My son loves it, and I hate it. Back then, cherry was the number one selling flavor.
I have been playing with your chaffel recipe. I have added diced onions, seasoning and mashed potato flavoring to some, (kind of like a hash brown) and others, I have gone sweet with sweeter extracts like cake batter, lemon, almond, or vanilla, along with a touch of sweetener, and eating those as waffles with syrup, cream cheese, peanut butter, etc... A sweet chaffel with cream cheese, crisp bacon, and a sprinkle of swerve brown sugar is amazing.
I just printed out this recipe from another site and was going to try it. I saw your video and decide to let you try it. So glad I did. You didn’t hurl so I guess it is safe to try. 😂
I was just thinking, don’t know if anyone has tried or suggested using radishes as potatoes. They taste like potatoes if you boil them . Replacing cauliflower with radishes. Just a thought.
I found recipe online where it is baked at 425° F - 450° F, for 15 to 20 minutes. I didn't try it yet, but I think it will make it crispier. Also, I think air fryer could do the trick. Thank you for recipe.
Cauliflower- I cook in micro. Then when cool, I strain with cheesecloth, then it dry cook in pan, then it make whatever. I was thinking surely the cauliflower could be combined with the cottage cheese somehow- thanks! Tried this for chips, but they never crisped up, so used as “skins” in mashed potatoes. 😂
Hi Girls! Happy Friday! These look very promising. I’m still not back to keto yet but plan on starting in a day or two especially since I’m breaking out with eczema again. Eating keto and clean clears it up. That mash potato flavoring says it’s highly concentrated. Do you think you put in too much or is it just better to leave it out altogether? I value your opinion you know!😀. Oh and what do you use for keto ketchup? Thanks for another great video! I’m getting some wonderful ideas when I finally bite the bullet, lol. It’s so hard cooking for just one person. A bowl of cereal is so much easier! 😂😂Have a nice weekend!❤❤
I would love for you to do like a Taco Bell Mexican pizza and even more a Taco Bell in Charito I love them both but haven’t tried to ketofy them yet. Love you guys you’re great you’re funny you’re awesome!
Maybe try adding some Keto Chow Baked Potato flavor? Or, just make tots out of leftover Chris Cooking Nashville Carnivore Mashed Potatoes. I bet that would work!
These look really cool! I could totally make a batch of these to go beside my monster cheese burger party!! 😋 * I'd love to see you girls try the frozen chocolate candy bar that "low carb love" had made. It was only 2 or 3 ingredients, & they looked delicious. I'm just wanting to see regular down home people (( like yall)) try it first! 😂 🙏 pretty please, with Splenda on top
Perhaps cooking the "tots" in an air fryer would crisp them up better on all sides?? Also, I've found that regular cheddar (yellow) is bitter tasting to me, so I've switched to white cheddar or even mozzarella to eliminate that taste.
I wonder if my freeze dryer would help with the cauliflower smell? Cook part way, then freeze dry. Then use the dry cauliflower in recipes. Anyone tried that?
I wonder if you could bake them first, then dip them in oil so they get crispier all over... 🤔 Seems like baking them first would help them hold together in the oil.
I bet if you were to take the tots out after they baked, sprayed them lightly with oil and then put them back in the oven at 450 degrees till brown (5-10 min) it would have a closer texture to tots. Tots are technically cooked twice. First at the manufacturer and then at a higher temp when you get them home. That will likely fix the texture issue. Hope this helps! Also thank you for your videos. They are terrific. It is nice not having to test everything for myself!
My feeling is....if you don't like the smell of it before cooking than you won't like it afterwards. I also would have cut the size in half and flip them so they get really brown on both sides. Good job ladies!
I wonder if they’d be more crispy and tater tot-like if you fried them in some oil after they came out of the oven or rolled them in almond flour or something like that and fried them in oil, skipping the baking…. 🤔 As always ❤❤❤
What about making a keto poke bowl - I like the poke salmon bowl I cooked your riced cauliflower to make the base which is rice, that we aren't to have. I'm planning to build one tomorrow for lunch
Can't wait to try these! I wonder if you sprayed them with oil spray, maybe they would crisp up...? Also, your trick of a Tbs of potato flakes for lower carb than real tots version 🤗🥰
These look amazing with so many jumping off points. I’m wondering if you froze the shaped batter then dropped into a fry daddy how much closer to a crispy tot would it be? Yes, extra steps but could be sooo worth it. Also wondering as I watch you recommend pan cooking the cauliflower to remove moisture, could the riced cauliflower go into cheesecloth and be put in a dehydrator to remove all moisture?Just some random thoughts. Love your content. Thank you.
Wow, that looks so good! And simple, too. I think in a past video the two of you added a small amount of some instant mashed potatoes to something to give it a potato flavor. I wonder if that'd work well here. Only one way to find out, I guess. 😎
I’m not crazy about anything cauliflower except either a cheese sauce over it. I wonder what would happen with a daikon radish that was minced in the food processor? I would try it but I live in the sticks all the radishes are dark red here. 😉
I'm definitely going to try these. I got a really good deal on cottage cheese this week , and one I bought has chives in it , which I think will work well. Thanks for the inspiration.
I like cottage cheese a lot……right out of the tub. I tried the chips…didn’t like them. I tried the ice cream….didn’t like it. I don’t eat tater tots anyway so it’s not likely I’ll like them this way. Lol. I’m thinking to try the cottage cheese pancakes (which still look like pancakes) or I saw a cake made with cottage cheese that I might try. But every time I open the lid of the cottage cheese carton I just eat it as is. Simple. 😁. Thanks for all your recipes experiments. You’re fun to watch.

I would ad chopped jalapeño and roll it in pork rinds
I looked at the oooflavores website, and they suggest just one to three drops per cup of stuff to be "mashed potato" flavored.
Smash them in the chaffel iron and then you got waffle fries ! Seems to steam out even more water and we did a little shredded in top and bottom. Of the iron so they are delicious! Kinda had hash brown vibes .. we love making the tots in the chaffel iron then after brown chop up w some corn beef for old fashion corn beef and hash if you ever had it missed that. It’s a big southern favorite. But we love your show as always and continue to air it here at health and wellness for the troops !!
What a great idea!! 🤗
Wow! Do you use the same mixture?
I have been full carnivore now of over a year. I was keto before that and watched you guys a lot and you really helped me. Now I watch you because I really like you two. Same here! I don’t eat most of what they make, but I just love their videos. They have great humor and enjoyable content.
Thank you both, that’s really sweet :)
Same!! ❤
I use that mashed potato stuff in my mashed cauliflower and I think it helps a lot to me.
How has your carnivore journey been??
Add some sour cream and chive to the mixture with some bacon bits.
Ooo, that sounds really yummy!! 🤤🤤🤤
Exactly what I thought!
Cottage cheese is turning out to be 2024's answer to cauliflower. It's turning up in everything!
So true! I loathe cauliflower, so I’m happy to see cottage cheese take over.😅
Well they have the same marketing team!

I bet finishing them off in the air fryer would have crisped them up.
I don't have an air fryer but that was my question. Thanks!
maybe a spritz of avocado oil and into air fryer? But I'd go for those just like the twins did them Looks easy enough and common ingredients..
@@anoldladi Ghee for the butter flavor
@@OhGeeWillickersMister that sounds great!
Air fryer!!
Hmm, so if the mashed potato flavoring smells like butter... I think I'll just use real butter.
I would try making a double recipe and the flatten it to look like a potatoe pancake. Flip it half way when baking. I bet they will come out crispy and delicious- Luv your channel❤️Hugs
Great idea- looks delicious- I appreciate that you guys scour social media so "we don't have too". 👍👍💟
Try adding nutritional yeast to one half of a batch
What does that do to it?

Dry cook method is the best!! No going back ever!
Raddish hype!!! Raddish chips, radish mash, baked radish, maybe I'll try radish & cottage cheese tots. Can't stand cauliflower.
I love baked radishes! Sadly I can only get teeny tiny ones here, they are still my fave replacement for potato too.
It looked more like a Cheddar bay biscuit??
Maybe you could add different seasoning and change it to that instead of a tator tot ???
Maybe air fry them to make them more crispy.
Didn't you guys try adding instant mash potato flakes awhile back? To the cottage cheese chips, I think 🤔 maybe you should try that here.
That’s a great idea!! 🤗
Doesn’t that negate the whole purpose?
@@GenRNIt’s just a spoonful in a whole recipe. Not much.
@@mellocello187 ah, got it. If it had more I’d just as soon have real tater tots. 😂
Love how y'all are riding the wave of the cottage cheese popularity! Thanks for another great recipe and all the fun antics!

What if you sprayed them with a little "Pam" before baking?🤷♀️
Thanks ladies for your content and time!
Emily, you gag was priceless! I love how you both are so genuine! Thanks ladies! -Evette
Mashed potatoes are such a favorite that I doubt anything can replace them. I am like you guys. Just eat them for what they are
The dry cauliflower works ..I dont like cauliflower at all... but I tried your dry method and wow what a difference it made

Lifeway Farmer cheese vs. cottage cheese might work well for this recipe, too. Fun, informative, entertaining channel. Love the Keto twins! 🤩

I cook the cauliflower rice and take a tea towel and ring out the rice to dry it out.
Definitely try their dry cook method, it’s a game changer for real
Put them in a pan of olive oil if u want crispy
What if you sprayed them with avocado oil before cooking?
Hmmm I’m not sure!
I think that I would also make them flat and have a potato pancake kind of vibe. They would be good with a little sour cream.
I just went to the grocery store and they were out of cottage cheese, all brands and sizes. I have never seen this before. It is a big store which usually has lots. Is this cottage cheese thing catching on even with non keto or low carb people or is it just a coincidence ?
Yeah, I’ve seen other high protein content using cottage cheese, it’s extremely popular right now not just low carb
The faces when trying the ones made with flavoring - so funny! You are both awesome. Sending you so much love!
Thank you
Hmm now I'm wondering on how to do those in the air fryer

How about pan fry? and to have it stay together adding the chickpea flour or the Xanthan gum?
I’m curious if a tsp of dehydrated mashed potatoes would be a suitable substitute for that weird liquid? Would it be too carby?
I usually strain cooked cauliflower rice through a nut milk bag to dry it out before adding sauces but I def want to try the dry cook method!
You should try the last 10 mins instead of putting it back in the oven, put it in the air fryer.
Maybe you should have tried frying them to make more crispy?
Really enjoying your videos (going back to watch all). You're not only informative but also very entertaining. 😂😂
I wonder if finishing them in a fryer would crisp them up? Interesting recipe! ❤
I don't understand the need for baking. Why not just form the tots and fry them like potato latkes?
(With a lot less oil!!)
As neither one of you already enjoying that"fake" potato essence, is day dump it.. Cut the ties. Good idea for those of tater tots.
Just saw a recipe for cottage cheese, chocolate chip cookies! On my list to try, but they looked good.
Jelly belly buttered popcorn is awesome they are my favorite 😂.
Maybe if they were rolled in pork rinds before cooking they’d go crisp?
Yum those do look awesome. 😋No potato flavoring. I never did buy it and now I really won't. Thanks again you wonderful girls ❤
Just spray some avacodo spray, should brown them up !
They look really good. I wonder if they would get crispy in the air fryer. Thank you for sharing.
Spray them eith oil before cooking & maybe they will get crisper.
Why don’t yall try some of the mashed potatoes flakes like you put in your cottage cheese chips
I used to love tater tots.
