Sarah was my introduction to watercolor and while I’ve worked with other teachers and mediums, this video reminds me that she remains one of the best teachers. Inspirational work with excellent explanations - not just “do what I do”. Thank you, Sarah!
Did this one today. It is my 120th day painting daily. So November 7, I started painting every single day. Some days its just drills and one day I did an entire subscription box! Thank you for these great tutorials and for being amazing!
Congrats on such a big accomplishment. 120 days of painting that's incredible. We LOVE that we get to be part of your creative journey. What project are you working on next?
@@LetsMakeArt I am trying to finish up all my subscriptions boxes that I have. So yesterday I finished up the Crisp and cozy boxes doing Autumn River and the Moose. Today I'm doing the Hydrangeas to finish up that box. I have a tendency to get really into new hobbies/ interests, get a lot of stuff to do them and then fizzle out. So I'm trying to use up all the kits that I have and actually finish some projects. I will paint the Peony soon. I keep dragging my feet because of how hard the Facebook group makes it sound. And I want to do a large painting of my own based on Our Lady of Guadalupe in honor of my daughter, who died 3 years ago on April 18. Her death is what led me to watercolor painting and I have been painting daily as a form of therapy. A way to bring joy into the world the way she did in her short 4 months of life.
Please can we do more still lifes like this? I took my last art class in 8th grade. I only discovered I LOVED painting during the pandemic. I'm lacking so many of these fundamentals and am not sure where to find them. Keenon took the words out of my mouth at 18:00 ish. I don't want to learn them by drawing (other than a quick sketch to paint over) because I'm not interested in drawing. I just want to paint more realistically! I learned a lot from this one. Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing your giftings so liberally. You are my favorite inspiration these days. You make painting with watercolour achievable, by making it less overwhelming. Thank you so much!
Thanks for this tutorial. I will definitely paint this apple. But I will not pay attention to the stem, because I’m not better than you. And that it’s ok, I’m not mad about… plus I’m a lazy painter, so my apple might not even have a stem at all. 😅 Thanks
My first time using the boxes, but not my first time painting and I’m struggling with these ink based paints. They don’t seem to spread as easy as other paints. Like they soak and “stain” rather than move easily. Any tips?
Napping people .... 😂 ..... ok next challenge .... painting hubby while he's sleeping 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think he would going to kill me if I'm doing this .... 😂😂😂

Oh wow! We are grateful to have been a part of your journey. Thank you for painting along.

@@mandypittman1154 I'm so sorry for your loss, Mandy. I hope you're still finding healing, whether it's through painting or something else. Take care.

Maybe someone twisted the stem off?

Can we ask what type of paper are you using? Is it the paper from the box?

You totally should do it. Still life and all.
Mine is just lucky that my skills aren't there yet. So much napping. So many opportunities. Some day!
