    You are a great teacher Sarah! I love how you run us though the steps and you explain why you do the things you do! Thank you!

    I love your tutorials! I have NO watercolor background at all! My first time ever painting.
    I got the November box and I this is my 3 rd paint. I cam able to follow you but I have to go back many times. It would be helpful for people like me to let us know in advance some of the skills we need to practice ahead of time and what tutorial to watch. For example how to make trees or leaves. I would practice before painting the landscape. Just a suggestion!
    I have been home bound due to a serious foot surgery so I decided to take advantage of this time and learn something new. I am really bad but I have fun! Thanks !

      This is great feedback Marissa! We will see what we can do to share ahead some of the concepts that would be helpful to practice and see if we can't get some video or photos to help support that. So sorry to hear about your foot. We sincerely hope it is healing well.

      @@LetsMakeArt I like the whole box. My Moose turned out so friendly looking and my 13 year old really liked the landscape. I did the leaves as a card and did it for each season. It was a really fun box. I wish I had done it ages ago instead of this week! (I did the leaves when I got the box but the other three I did this week).

    I love the reflection on the river, but I really struggled with the foliage, and the hardest part was making the place where the trees meet the ground look good.

    I may have missed it but what kind of tape are you using here? It seems to lift of easily without tearing your paper. This painting is beautiful by the way. Thanks for this.

    • @LetsMakeArt
      @LetsMakeArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sarah is using Holbein Soft Tape. You can find it on the website here: www.letsmakeart.com/products/holbein-soft-tape-1-2-width

    This is probably a very basic question, but what's the purpose of transfering outline with the tracing paper? Is there a problem with sketching the outline directly on the watercolor paper?

    • @LetsMakeArt
      @LetsMakeArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are comfortable sketching the outline directly, totally go for it. The biggest benefit of transferring and outline is if you aren't comfortable drawing or sketching.

    Could you use a larger oval or square brush instead of the round 12?

    • @elisabruxvoort2190
      @elisabruxvoort2190 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A square would definitely work! I'm sure an oval would, too. The ovals I've seen seem to hold more water and I struggle with water control so I personally would avoid the oval hahaha!

    • @LetsMakeArt
      @LetsMakeArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can't hurt to try! Sarah likes to use the round brushes because they allow such a variety in use. You can get a wider swath with the belly of the brush or thiner by using the tip.

    I love this, but I can't get past the white sky - to me it really needs some sort of at least a suggestion of a sky. How would you add a sky? A light wash ? one of the first steps?

    • @LetsMakeArt
      @LetsMakeArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, a light wash before your trees go in.
