Sarah, The spoon trick for paper tears works like a wonder. My edge of the Hisbiscus paper tore. Luckily for me you had given me an idea. I tried it with cold water and a heavy teaspoon. I loved this...especially the narration of the whereabouts of John Stamus Fly. Crazy thing happened at the end of your video.....a bug fell out of my hair onto my painting. Not joking!!! Going to try this one again. Seems I always do better the second time around.
Dear sarah, I just want to say that the way you say hibiscus, is perfectly correct in my language, dutch/flemish... so when you think you pronounce a word incorrect, think that in another language it may be correct... so don't worry... And plural, also nothing to worried. Al the fuss about is it Cactae or cactusses, both ate aloud in English language. Same for al those kind of words... so I use cactusses because I dont like the word cactae. And although it is a word that comes from Latin and in Latin the plural is cactae, it's a word that now is English, so that's why we also can use cactusses. I love the hibiscus. Mine in my home is true vermillion. So beautiful. And the fun part is that the flowers come around xmass... when there aren't much flowers in our cold nature... thanks for the tutorial.

Read on a Kindle. I look up words despite the fact that I know the meanings, but sometimes I’m not sure of the pronunciation. Also, it’s super easy to look up definitions!
Just an idea I've used before in my bullet journal (not sure if works on this paper - I've used it on 120g paper). If you have an iPad, open the image on your iPad and turn the brightness ALLL the way up and there's your light box.
I have a vintage oil painting someone painted over white bobby flowers over pretty pale original pink hibiscus flowers I've scrapped of the white paint and have a faint pink flowers left I've got to fix my painting 🌺

Well, sometimes I join in 😁. While doing this project, I was on my paper while the vid plays and K was telling you how "hibiscus" is pronounced with the "h" sound in the beginning, you thought he was making a fool of you but you said it anyway and WE LAUGHED TOGETHER! 😂😂😂😂Thank you sarah and K!
i love this project so much but somehow mine turned out not so good after the layering and the edges 😔 will probably need to practice more. Anyone has issue laying too have suggestion to share ?
Mine was an utter failure.... I think it was difficult and I think of myself at advanced level.... The leaves were done in a way I've never seen before - painting around white space; couldn't make it look good no matter what. Oh well.
Oh, Sarah, do I ever relate to reading a lot and never having heard a particular word spoken aloud, the meaning of which I'm very familiar ....I totally embarrassed myself with the word "poignant" which I at first pronounced "poig.nant" hitting a hard 'g' and emphasis on "..nant." I felt like such a doofus!

That could work! Another trick is to put your phone flashlight on and place your phone under a glass baking dish. You can also use a window as well.

Try using resist on the veins and the stamen and it’ll help so you don’t have to be so careful painting around them. Good luck!
