I really like Kylo and the new cast, I know Im in the minority but I love the new trilogy, Kylo is a really interesting villian as similar to David Tennants Kilgrave, he is the hero of his own story and doesn't believe himself to be the villian, and similar to Vergil from DmC he believes he is right and owning who he is and helping Rey do the same is the only true path to success and prosperity.
Trust me, a lot more people enjoy the new trilogy compared to those who don’t. The ones who do enjoy it are just quiet whilst the ones who hate them are just louder.
To be fair this honestly is Luke’s fault, imagine how traumatizing it must be to be 18 and have ur uncle someone you trusted and looked up to try to kill you, to feel trapped and alone, with nowhere to go. Angry and betrayed, and having Snoak manipulate those emotions to drag him to the dark side, and by the time you realize you feel it’s too late and you’re too far gone to change.
My thoughts exactly. He's already conflicted because Snoke has been reaching to him while he trains to be a Jedi but Luke only made him worse so he turned to the Dark Side probably thinking that somehow he belonged there. Then Snoke is consistent about telling him about being heir to Darth Vader, he further cross to the dark side. He must have realized that all of his "Kylo Ren acts" are put to waste when Snoke belittled him in the Throne room especially when he was told that he's just a child with a mask.
Beautiful. Was I the only one in the theater internally yelling "you should have gone with him, baby-girl!" :) Yah, yah, too soon. But everything in me wanted it to be now, not 2 yrs from now!
WOW!!! Having watched The Rise of the Skywalker, makes me appreciate The Last Jedi even more in terms of how neatly and in depth it developed Kylo Ren/Ben and Rey's characters and the connection between them! But, to be honest, Kylo/Ben's character arch and depth is so much better than Rey's! And your video does him sooooooo much justice!!!! Brilliant job!
In trying to create a New Vader, Disney created a Vader that was real. Flawed, Whiny to the core, Hurt, Angry. He is no Vader, he is everything Vader could never be.
Many people didn't like him cause they think he was just an angry boy who was thinking that he could be like his grandfather. Anakin had his own reasons to chose dark side but Kylo didn't have.He had all the voices inside his head when he was just a child.He grew up with them and he thought his parents didn't want him,his uncle tried to kill him. He did what he was told inside his head.He is not villian he is victim.

To be fair to Luke-- Leia and Han (one or both) ultimately made that call. So the ultimate onus goes back on them, not JUST Luke.

I think this trilogy was about Ben, not Rey, also the last 2 trilogies have been about skykwalker men so it makes sense it’s about him
