This Star Wars cinematic tribute intertwines the stories of Anakin Skywalker and Kylo Ren. It showcases the similarities and differences in their paths to darkness by comparing and contrasting them to Darth Vader. The video also draws parallels to the relationship between master and pupil in both stories as Obi-wan and Luke Skywalker struggled to keep their apprentices from turning to the dark side. This cinematic shows how Ben Solo's path can easily be synced with that of young Anakin.

Ben felt abandoned by his parents and his uncle, and he found solace in Snoke because Snoke paid attention to him. Even if that attention was harmful. Ben is noticed for the first time and wants to stay in the limelight, so what does he do? He strives to be better and stronger. Vader was a perfect embodiment of it. Ben would naturally try to emulate him.
Anakin's sufferring turned him to vader.
Kylo's suffering turn him back to ben

Luke kind of mirrored Anakin in the Ben Solo scene where he tries to kill him. Luke saw the visions of what Ben would become and Anakin saw the visions of Padme dying. If Anakin ignored the visions and didn't do anything about it, it wouldn't have led him turning to the dark side and Padme would most likely live. Same thing with Luke. If he didn't try to kill Ben, nothing of what we saw would become true.
That's why it's hard to beat destiny. Because we think we change it but we are just making it. So in the end Anakin, Luke made their destiny by thinking they could change it.
One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.

Just realized Kylo never got yellow sith eyes, even in his darkest moments. He was conflicted the whole time.
@Jaylen Inthalangsy-McGeachie Not every sith is a "Darth", that's the title granted to the most powerful Sith Lords. Savage Opress was a Sith, but not a Darth since he was just a measly apprentice. Not every Sith also has yellow eyes, only those who delve into the Dark Side fully and take proper advantage of dark side abilities. Count Dooku had normal eye color, and that was because he became a Sith for mostly political reasons (he could still use most dark side abilities because unlike Kylo he wasn't created by Disney). Kylo wasn't able to use Dark side abilities, nor Light side abilities properly because he was an indesicive weakling rinsed by the Mouse. Honestly he was the only semi-respectable character in this entire trilogy and I hate what they did to him.

@@justkrish5481 Disney doesn't understand Star Wars. The characters were great and their backstory was good, but the movie execution was shit. Actually, I liked The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker, but The Last Jedi was disgusting. And also that they ruined the reason Darth Vader died for in The Rise of Skywalker. The end to the Original Trilogy was great, that a Sith Lord saves his son from the evil emperor Palpatine and dies in the process. But Disney had to ruin it. And they should have made the Rise of Skywalker more interesting, considering that it was the last movie in the Skywalker Saga.

I disagree, this shows perfectly that at least Disney got one character right with Kylo, his writing was beautiful, it was spot on in connecting with the prequels and specifically his grandfather Anakin. Its too bad Rey's writing wasn't as good but for me the sequels were all about Kylo, and just his character and development makes up for a lot of the bad.
This really pulls attention to how rey truly had no place in this story

Anakin is the better character by far but kylo was by far the best one in the sequels although then again he was kind of a cardboard cutout of darth cadeus from legends

Kylo fell to the darkside because he was essentially an outcast, his parents sent him away once they felt some darkness in him, his uncle became almost an emotionless robot by following the dogmatic rules of the Jedi, and the only person who "understood" him was Snoke (Palpatine).
Whereas Anakin was born a slave, his mom got killed, he was also an outcast in the Jedi order (only person who understood him was Palpatine), but what ultimately made him turn was Padme's death (which he arguably did).
They're victims for similar reasons: lack of understanding and compassion. In defense of Kylo, he betrayed his master without seeking outside help & tried to make the galaxy bend to his will. Whereas Vader never betrayed Palpatine until his love for Luke compelled him too.

it wasnt anakins force ghost, it was manipulation from sideous. i dont think it was ever really announced to the galaxy that vader had defeated sideous, im pretty sure it was just assumed that luke had defeated them both. with that in mind, it would be easy for sideous to manipulate kylo into thinking his grandfather was setting him up to be a new vader

I’m pissed at Disney and JJ for having him redeemed and then killing him off right after he truly found his place. However they made a character that I truly enjoyed watching grow over this past half decade and his background is amazing.

Apparently it was supposed to be Anakin who turned him back, that's why they even had footage of Hayden Christensen in RoS, but KK changed like 70% of the movie.

That line hit me harder than i thought. Isn´t Obi-Wan fault that Anakin turned to the dark side, we all know that was a bit of things that drown him into this path, but watching that scene again, when they duel in Mustafar, when Anakin give that look to Obi, it was clear to me that more than a master, he needed a friend, to help him with his fears, to stand by his side with all the things that was happen during episode III, and that was when Obi failed him, not as his master but as a friend too. Watching Clone Wars, and seem how the friendship of both have grown, and in the most all hour how apart they was, how lonely Anakin was, how confusing, he needed a friend and Obi wasn´t there for him. We figure out later that was the Empereor plans set them apart, but still heartbreaking for me.

Um no offense but that's not exactly right. Anakin lost everything in his life, and the anakin persona retreated into his subconscious and the darth vader persona took over and then anakin continued watch as vader destroyed everything in anakin's life. Anakin had dissociative identity disorder, anakin and vader were quite literally two different people. Whereas ben was actually both kylo ren and ben, they weren't two different people, that's why kylo always had a pull towards the light because he didn't have a completely evil personality that had taken over his body. Kylo had both light and dark in him, everything he did was a decision made by him. Everything that anakin did after he knelt in front of sideous was a decision made by vader.

Obi wan was too late to stop anakin from going down the path of the dark side and thus failed him, luke however was fearful of it getting too that point so like his former master opted to stop him and thus sent him down that path when he realized all he had to do was trust him. Honestly iv never thought about how similar obi wan and luke were in their later years, both held heavy weights of their padawans feeling betrayed and resentful and they both blamed themselves.
Honestly one of my favorite lines in all of Star Wars is when Obi wan says “you were supposed to destroy the with not join them.... bring balance to the force not leave it in darkness.” For some reason I feel like in life we sometimes can feel like that.

Hayden is such a good actor I still believe he was the best to play Anakin and while alot of the dialogue doesn't work most of the time he killed it with his emotional acting
One of my favorite things about Star Wars is that Anakin was the “chosen one” and was prophesied to “being balance to the force by destruction of the Sith” but was heavily doubted, Yoda even said the prophecy may have been misread. After he turned to Vader it seemed like there was no hope, but in the sixth episode he kinda ended up fulfilling the prophecy.
When yoda said the propehcy was misread he means the part about bringing balance by destroying the sith, he wasn't talking about anakin being the chosen one, there was no doubt anakin was the chosen one after his test on mortis with The Father. Balance isn't destroying the dark, balance is the dark and light being properly proportionate. Unfortuantely none of the jedi could except that bringing balance may also involve the destruction of the jedi, so they all believed the prophecy meant the destruction of the sith. And yes he did fulfill the prophecy because he successfully brought balance after destroying both the sith and the jedi.

He killed his father, he got shot in the chest by chewie's bowcaster which is very powerful. we know this because it could make a storm trooper to do backflips when shot. and rey is somewhat of an experienced fighter, which we now because we see her take down two other scavengers with her bow staff. and plus she has somewhat of a connetion to the force in the force awakens. and kylo only trained a tiny bit in lightsaber combat at lukes ecademy and know his training is mainly to deflect blasters or pin his enemys down. kylo does end up holding his own in the new movies and almost defeats rey in ros until leia calls out to him. but yeah hes no vader.

In Rey's vision in TFA there were rumours that when you see Kylo it's the moment when he's recovering Vader's helmet. Interesting idea, true or not, but like too much of what JJ Abrams did with his Star Wars films it's an interesting idea that doesn't get developed properly.
I think they should do a series around the sequels like they did with the clone wars. It would answer a lot more questions like how Max found Luke's lightsaber and how Kylo found Vader's helmet. Oh and they could show Finn teaching Rey how to swim

This edit shows that Ben didn't have the power to become like Vader. He wasn't punished enough. And so when he finally saw his father in the last movie, he realized that he really did have compassion for his family, and for Rey. So when he realized that Rey was gone to stop Palpatine he came to help the one he felt most compassionate for. Plus, Anakin tried to save his mother, but he couldn't. So then he got all upset and angry. But what Ben did, was something only a true JEDI would do. Save the one they care for the most. In ( I think ) Attack of the clones, probably revenge of the sith, Anakin said he would learn to even save people from dying, he didn't learn. But who did? Ben Solo. Edit: HOLY CRAP! Thematically that sounds great. Too bad the story telling was so poor. Neither Kylo nor Rey even knew healing was possible, let alone revival. The theme demanded these events and so Rey and Kylo without explanation could heal. It was a good idea with poor execution.
