I was 26 when this movie came out. It's difficult to describe how impactful it was and how needed it was at that moment in time. ❤

This is awesome! Parting Glances is such a gem. It wasn't afraid to go places other films wouldn't go.

Thank you, thank you! I can't find words to tell you how special this film is to me. It's a masterpiece in every way--moving, funny, and ambience for days---as my cousin Buddy used to say. Thank you again--blessings! :)

I can watch to this epical independent movie thousand times, getting it looped. To me, it means total "niche" masterpiece. Unfortunately as still underrated as the director Bill Sherwood. The screenplay rhythm and dialogue tempos are perfectly a working gem. However, the first part of the 1980s was wholeheartedly, acutely creative. The "innovative and experimental" last epoch, indeed! Now think: shot in 1985!... Are we now still living in "the Modern Times"'?... I do wonder. Thank You for an unforgettable uploading. Giorgio

I watched this around 1988 in Western Germany in our regional 3th TV program (WEST 3) and taped it on VHS video.
After the movie there was a talk show about this topic.
Sure, I lived in a time full of haters, especialy women and some liberal people.
