- This video is about a 1978 Datsun 1500 Ute GN620 which was driven into a shed (in a state of disrepair) some 20 years ago. 2 Years ago I started it up for the first time in 20 years ( • 1978 Datsun 1500 Ute G... )! With the clutch driving became better. I think the back tank is damage and that's why the engine is stopping. I am a big fan for you bro and I like your videos keep going bro. 👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤

Great achievement DrewFixIt, I reckon you work towards making the Datsun 1500 road worthy with the view to make an Australian transcontinental crossing. Cement it in Aussie legend.

@@DronologyAustralia I'm actually thinking we should get it running reasonably well (fuel, clutch and brakes a must), get it registered and do some coastal 4WD tracks locally first. What do you think? Are you interested in filming some aerial shots if I do this? DFI

I been searching to see a radiator like yours. My father bought a Datsun that has the same radiator. He is in El Salvador and I’m in the US. I can’t find the radiator because over here they are very different. Anyways good luck on your restoration.

I suspect the fuel strainer in the tank may have clogged during the doughnuts.
Thankyou for the suggestion, I was wondering the same thning myself. Perhaps I will do some diagnosis to see exactly where the problem is in a future video before just purchasing a new fuel pump!

One question. My 1977 Datsun truck I had had the oil filter on the bottom side of the engine. How does this one have an oil filter on the top?
