- Nobody Can stop the Cleveland Guardians right now no matter what they throw at them and this is starting to become a special run that nobody will ever forget, but I really don't even wanna call it a run because they've been consistent the whole season and never get too high or too low. For example, they just went on pretty much their biggest losing streak of the season dropping three straight but then they came back and have won four in a row, and now they are building a big cushion in the AL Central and are looking to stay hot as they are going through one of the toughest parts of the schedule of the season. In this video i'm gonna be talking all about what the guards have been doing as of late, im gonna talk about steven kwan who not only should be getting talked about for the all star game but he slowly but surely is entering the MVP convo as well because he has been just that unbelievable. And then there's Jose Ramirez who just continues to drive in runs and produce year in and year out. It will be a tragedy if he never wins an MVP his entire career but there's a reason so many people call him the most underrated player in the game.

Schneeman is really impressing me with his bat, which is I think what has them keeping Freeman out several times this last couple of weeks. Freeman has been nothing short of AMAZING defensively knowing he had NEVER played CF at all. However, I get it that Schneeman is pretty dang good in CF defensively, as well as offering a lot more from the plate. They are good problems to have, but enjoying the hell out of this team every time they play.
Schneeman has been getting great contact all week, glad he got that homer today. Hes been just short all week. Hes definitely showing potential to be on the roster longer than first expected
@cletakeover7429 I think Schneeman and Fry stay rest of the season. Question becomes who will be the other guy who follows them. Manzardo struggled but shows some progress. Rodriguez is struggling currently. Martinez has been okay all weekend. Do we call up Noel finally and give him a shot. Or do we expect to go middle of the rotation pitcher and Outfielder to platoon with Brennan in right
@@TheHardy8778 Will Brennan has been swinging the bat great recently and has climbed to almost 260 so I dont think we need any outfielders to platoon with Brennan.
@jdokuma I stand by saying it's not the worst idea. Whether it's Brennan or Freeman. We should look for another bat in the outfield. Instead of Fry and Schneeman who could better serve at Catcher and shirt with Rocchio and Bo struggling at the plate mainly
@@TheHardy8778 I agree another bat would be helpful but I think we need a starting pitcher more. McKenzie, Allen, corrasco all barely get 4 innings and give up way too many runs, this will use our bullpen too much and it’ll crumple down the stretch
There are so many stars born on this Guardians team. They remind me of the 90’s Cleveland team.
Please keep up that Guardians content. Our team isn't getting enough credit this year and maybe some content on our minors who are up and coming because they keep calling up our youngsters this season. Stay positive my friends.

This team breaks the mold, where small payroll teams, Baltimore, KC, Minn., et. al., are feeder systems for big money teams.
This team declares baseball is first and foremost a kids' game. The business infrastructure is only there to support the game.
Players who want to play the game realize Cleveland is the very best place to play.
Mercenaries interested in lining their pockets with big-time cash, realize Cleveland is the very best place to be trained and developed.

Nobody is talking about Steven Kwan and it’s starting to piss me off.
The guy’s hitting .390! I mean, come on, even though he’s only played in 50ish games, he’s criminally underrated.
He’s also playing Gold Glove defense as always.
If he played in New York Kwan would be the lead in every national sports broadcast

We went to the game yesterday. Section 174 row A. Directly in the sun. It was 107°on the field at first pitch. It was awesome seeing 7 homers!
Love seeing teams try to pitch around jram or naylor only for whoever is next in the lineup to make them regret it. Been so much fun watching this team
The starting pitching is still a concern, but this team is legitimate.

This team is just so fun to watch! Manzardo and Rodriguez have been a little disappointing so far, but hopefully Manzardo can get hot again in Columbus and Angel Martinez can get his first few MLB hits.
Manzardo showed a little bit of promise when he was still up in Cleveland, I think there's still a chance he can be good in the majors.
Went 2 both games and u could feel the energy so many jays fans both days didn’t matter first day we had an elite inning the second day we where dropping bombs in the outfield
I love watching tribe games cause apart from winning, we are winning in a fun way. We play small ball and long ball and a mix of them both is so enjoyable to watch. This is our year

Cookie winning his last start was a unexpected, that 7 run lead definitely let him pitch with more confidence. Hes not reliable in a close game and “dr sticks 🥢” gives up 3-4 homers a game it seems. Definitely need williams back and probably to most definitely have to trade a prospect for an arm.. love the vides

Guards SP Gavin Williams has not been dominant during his rehab assignment in the minors since the 2024 Season began in late March.
It's been more than 2 weeks since he was suppose to join the Guards at the Major League Level but has hit a bump in the road, reinjuring his sore pitching elbow and continues his rehab in the minors.
Hopefully soon, Williams will be able to make his first start of the season for the Guards. Like you said Spence, both SPs McKenzie and Carrasco will need be replaced, possibly in the second half of the season, if Cleveland wants to win the AL Central Division and go far in the playoffs. 🤔😑
Seems like Cleveland loses when Sticks pitches, but they don’t. They’ve got an excellent record in his starts. Even Cookie isn’t THAT BAD, with the team 5-10 in games he starts. This team has shown that the SP doesn’t much matter and as long as they go 4-5 IP and keep them within a couple runs, they’ll be fine.

Only thing holding this team back outside of injury is their starting pitching. Bibee & Lively have been great, while the rest of their rotation has been inconstant at best. BUT, they will be getting Gavin Williams back soon and there are several pitchers on floundering teams who are under contract the next TWO years they can trade for... WSox' Erick Fedde, Rockies' Cal Quantrill, A's Paul Blackburn, & Angel's Tyler Anderson. All would be more than just one year rentals. GO TRIBE!

Of course major concerns about the staring rotation, but the fact they have already hit something like twice as many homeruns as they did at this time last year makes me thing there's a chance that aspect will continue.

Outside of Williams last rehab start I've heard it's been rough for him in the minors in his rehab start. Also if anything I think Schneeman ultimately pairs up with Rocchio as SS instead of paying a lot in prospects for a rental in Bo Bichette. When we seriously need another starter if McKenzie is hurt like I've been hearing as of late.

True, but he's not there for his stat line. He's there to iron out kinks and get acclimated to join the 40-man.
@@Guundhi Obviously the main purpose of minor league starts is the same as spring training starts, preparation for the real thing. Nonetheless, to say Williams was "dominating at Columbus" is stretching the truth just too much. Not to even mention that his last start was in Akron and not Columbus.

Definitely the best cleveland team since 2017-2018ish. I was at the bibee start against Seattle in section 154. if the starting pitching starts doing better they’ve got everything else!!

They have done an incredible job this year. And they did so without even changing their personnel very much over last season. The biggest change they made was Stephen Vogt replacing Terry Francona as manager. Their starting pitching has been solid, while their bullpen is pretty deep led by lockdown closer Emmanuel Clase. But the biggest difference between last season and this is they are getting on base led by Stephen Kwan & David Fry, while their middle of the order remains strong with Jose Ramirez & Josh Naylor leading the way. The formula will definitely get them to (through?) October.
