- The Cleveland Guardians have become exactly what the MLB didn't want them to be and they are so good to the point where they have to talk about and acknowledge what they are doing. This team just hits and hits and hits, and the pitching has held up better than I expected with the loss of Shane Bieber, and about a month ago it felt like a nice wave they were riding, but now it feels real, we are in june, and they are 20 games over 500 and just a few games back of the best record in the entire league. So in this video, i'm gonna recap the two back to back wins over the miami marlins, talk about what has happened over the past week because its been a while since i've made a video about this team, and so much more.

Notice that Cleveland's payroll is 28th out of 30. Less than a third of what the Yankees/Mets spend.
Whats even crazier is 1/3 of the payroll is for players that even arent on the team anymore.

But seriously. Cleveland has been in the thick of things in the AL Central for a lot of years. Nothing shocking about what they are doing in 2024. Enjoy the season!
Very true. They always contend for the division title, but this year seems way different. The AL Central has been among the weakest divisions in baseball the last several years with the winning team hovering near .500, but doesn't seem to be the case this year, so Cleveland being so good means more.

Carrasco being part of this team is awesome. I hope Vogt keeps him around. He’s like Hedges, not the best player, but a key part of the team.

This has always been my team... But the way they are playing is amazing. Hopefully with the addition of Gavin Williams this team will be over the top. 5 good starting pitchers.
They should be every baseball fans 2nd favorite team if they arent your 1st. Doing this with one of the lowest payrolls in baseball is extremely impressive and respectable.
The only nightmares still happening is the 3-1 nightmare they blew in 2016

A Bichette trade would be interesting but I can't see it happening. I live close to Toronto and if Cleveland acquired BB via trade it would cause a rift among Toronto fans and the front office.
The Guardians are shocking the MLB and I'm loving it. I've been a Cleveland fan for as long as I can remember and I'm hopeful for success in October.

It has always bothered me how no matter the topic, including the Indians/gaurdians people would seemingly rather die than see or recognize anything good happening in Cleveland, including good basebaal in Cleveland. I guess so they can say, its only bad in Cleveland.

You're opening sentence was like a triple that bounced off if the fence funny and the runner rounded third too far and got caught in a rundown that involved 6 players but then got out of the rundown that involved six players and got back to third sliding in safely when the ball trickled past the fielder's glove towards the third base dugout and the runner hopped up and made like he was about to take off for home again but everyone in his dugout yelled no and even the players on the oppoing team yelled no!!!

Something is wrong with how they measure HR in that park. There is no way that ball Jazz hit was 458. MAYBE it went 430, not way 458. Arias HR was about 15 feet shorter than what they labeled it as well.
What the fuck is the infatuation with home run distance. A 305 foot homer is just as viable as a 500 foot one You touch ‘em all with either one.

Bo Bichette would not be a good trade. If you have learned anything about Cleveland baseball, the goal is always to keep the needle moving forward. If Bo Naylor was traded, our primary catcher would be austin hedges. Id rather have Naylor batting over Hedges than Bichette over Arias

And they're doing what they couldn't do much last season outside of Jose and Josh Naylor (should have been on the All-Star team) which is to hit HR's and timely two out hits & HR's (so far). The Yankees will probably do what they most often do to them beat them in the playoffs. Let's hope not.

No. The name has changed 5 times in team history, and it will change again someday. Get over it. The name is NEVER coming back. Hell, you can’t even say the word on network TV. The merch is great, the city connect uniforms are fire, and the team is succeeding. Oh, and best of all, you don’t have to walk through dozens of protestors to get in the gate at home games. It was a derogatory name used to make fun of how bad the team was immediately following the historically awful seasons as the Spiders.
