Thanks for the video, got the switch and replaced it and everything is working great. Just one thing it’s not necessary to remove the shift knob. The plastic around it goes right over it. But like I said thank you.
Thanks for this! Honda sent me an email years ago that there was a recall on my e-Brake. I took it in, and they "claimed" that I spilled fluid on my e-Brake (I know I didn't) which voided the replacement and wanted to charge me $300+.😡 I'll definitely do this on my own after watching this.

BRO, I know I am being critical but SAFETY first, Honda is not known for the accelerator working by itself but please be careful about hanging your leg out the door while in gear, crazy stupid things happen in life and it's not worth a broken leg or worse. Forget the fact that you are working on a specific model, imagine the worst-case scenario every time, which is called "Risk Assessment", 98% of work-related accidents are preventable, Later in the video you mentioned that you could hear the brake caliper motor moving, this is also a test that you should mention at the beginning of the troubleshooting based on the bad switch, such as when you operated the switch and you mentioned all the lights in the dash, you should also mention that there was no audible sound from the rear brake caliper motor, yes, maybe all these types of audible tests are not very audible but mostly the EPB is. We ought to have a set system for our processes and you ought to teach these to the viewers of your videos. It's best to have a test before repairs and the same test after repairs as one form of verification. cheers.
Electronic parking brake is one of the stupidest "innovations" to add to a car. It really adds no value, but adds more problems than it solves. Should stay with a physical manual emergency/parking brake.
What is that machine you are using and is it necessary to the success of the process you mentioned in the video? Or can we get it to work appropriately without that machine?
You can if you want. Either way you have to remove the whole piece assembly out to replace the park button. You buy it new, the switch come as a whole piece unit.
I wouldn’t buy car part on Amazon. Sometime doesnt work. Go with original at honda save some time and money and it will work for sure. You can buy it if you want.

The scanner Im using is a Snap On Triton D8 - $7,000. You can use a normal code reader to read code and clear code. Normal code reader scanner cost around $100. If you dont have a code reader, you can go to oreilly or autozone store and have them clear the code for you for free.
