Then in 1980 a second person started to produce commercial Tempe in Queensland, and they are still making it today. I also made brown rice Tempe including okara Tempe. Okara is a Japanese name for the soy bean fiber that is left over from making kutchang curdelai susu (soy milk). I tried making Bongkrek Tempe too. The incubator is a nice addition. I will try without dehulling sometimes. It takes so much time to dehull. I have been successful making tempe here in Knoxville, USA even in winter. I put it in the drawer of the oven when I use the oven to bake... it keeps the drawer warm enough for the tempe process. I think your husband should sell the incubator :)

Inkubator saya tidak ada pengatur kelembabannya...tapi biasanya kalau agak kering malah gampang jadi. Kalau terlalu lembab gampang busuk. Di dalam inkubator suami saya pasang kayak fan yg kecil

Hi, sorry just respond to you..... 1. you rinse the dried soybean clean...until the water not foamy anymore 2. in here you can soak overnight....or boil the soybean and soak in that boiling water at least 2 hours. 3. in this video you don't need to peel. Just rinse until the water clean 4. you actually can cook without pressure cooker. Only you have to let it boiling on the stove at least 1 hour. Don't cook too long in pressure cooker. The tempeh will too soft for my taste.

Before my husband made an Incubator for me. I chose the smallest closet, put a small stainless steel rack from Home Depot and put a ceramic heater inside. I heated to 88 F, and put thermometer too. That was the first time, every bags I made done perfectly. I sold my tempeh online. The biggest batch I made was 8 kg. All succeed. My suggestion to find a clean spot with good airflow. If use oven, open the oven door

Baru di godok lagi dengan sedikit cuka ( cuka ini membantu peragian ) selama 45 menit atau kalau pakai pressure cooker atau Instant Pot 12 menit. 2. Cara cepet misalnya lupa ngerendem tadi malam. Kedele digodok sampai air mendidih. Matikan api, rendam di air mendidih td selama 2 jam. Kemudian kupas dengan dibejek2 tadi....seterusnya sama.

I'm so sorry I just saw your question. No, dehydrator can't use for tempeh making. The temperature, the lowest I knew about 95 F...but you can try to make a small amount of tempeh. I came from Indonesia the temperature normally around 85 - 90 F
I just remember last night. I failed many times until I found a small closet in our house. I put a ceramic heater, programed to heat the closet around 87 F. Then BOOOOM....my tempeh were perfect for the first time. All of them....so, airflow and temperature are crucial.
It works with dehydrator machine. Try to get dehydrator machine with has minimum temperature lower that 30 degree celcius. Because I tried with dehydrator wich has minimum 30 degree celcius the bean became too dry. There is the brand called Tribest sedona express, it has minimum temperture 25 degree. It pricey but my friend use it to make tempe with temperature 28 degree c and it worked. we live in europe and near to the beach with lots of humidity.

Pertama, boleh tau dimana ? Sebab yang bikin gagal itu biasanya kurang bersih. Dan untuk ini aku yakin bersih....ke dua suhu dan kelembaban...ini plg banyak. Kl tinggal di negara 4 musim...usahakan ada ruang atau space yang hangat buat si tempe ini fermentasi
I don't know in India...but if you can find raw tempeh in the market. You don't need a lot. cut the tempeh thinly slice then dry them. Grind the dried tempeh, it will be your first starter. Maybe a bit weak but from there you can let the tempeh frementing until 3 - 5 days depends of the temperature in your place. The color will be grayish to black, discard if there red color. Then with that over mature tempeh, you get stronger starter. Remember to keep the starter in freezer inside plastic or tight jar. Remember, raw tempeh once they boil or microwave the white mold will be dead

Begini, untuk membuat tempe...kita harus rendam kedelai semalaman. Sampai mekar 2x lipat. Nah, karena saya jual tapi kadang lupa untuk merenda malamnya...karena tidak bikin setiap hari. Saya temukan metode itu. Air panas mendidih kira2 2 jam..itu mekarnya hampir sama.

I just remember last night. I failed many times until I found a small closet in our house. I put a ceramic heater, programed to heat the closet around 87 F. Then BOOOOM....my tempeh were perfect for the first time. All of them....so, airflow and temperature are crucial.
It works with dehydrator machine. Try to get dehydrator machine with has minimum temperature lower that 30 degree celcius.
Because I tried with dehydrator wich has minimum 30 degree celcius the bean became too dry.
There is the brand called Tribest sedona express, it has minimum temperture 25 degree. It pricey but my friend use it to make tempe with temperature 28 degree c and it worked. we live in europe and near to the beach with lots of humidity.

Boleh quick release, kl aku biasanya aku biarkan natural aja..karena sering bikin....aku ga mau ceilingnya jadi lembab dan stain. Tapi ga masalah kok

Pertama, boleh tau dimana ? Sebab yang bikin gagal itu biasanya kurang bersih. Dan untuk ini aku yakin bersih....ke dua suhu dan kelembaban...ini plg banyak. Kl tinggal di negara 4 musim...usahakan ada ruang atau space yang hangat buat si tempe ini fermentasi

I don't know in India...but if you can find raw tempeh in the market. You don't need a lot. cut the tempeh thinly slice then dry them. Grind the dried tempeh, it will be your first starter. Maybe a bit weak but from there you can let the tempeh frementing until 3 - 5 days depends of the temperature in your place. The color will be grayish to black, discard if there red color. Then with that over mature tempeh, you get stronger starter. Remember to keep the starter in freezer inside plastic or tight jar. Remember, raw tempeh once they boil or microwave the white mold will be dead

Begini, untuk membuat tempe...kita harus rendam kedelai semalaman. Sampai mekar 2x lipat. Nah, karena saya jual tapi kadang lupa untuk merenda malamnya...karena tidak bikin setiap hari. Saya temukan metode itu. Air panas mendidih kira2 2 jam..itu mekarnya hampir sama.
Air mendidih tp kompornya mati ya .
